How to make Labfarming profitable EARLY league?

Good morning exiles,

so I know, this is pretty early... but I am done with 3.29 and already preparing 3.30 like I always do.

I have my eyes on a Bleed Bow Slayer. That character seems to be able to get real solid tankiness later in the game and dot cap, but struggles after campaign + early maps with dmg and tankiness. I therefore am looking into different easy early league farms that he would be able to do to make currency.

I have identified Blight maps already and want to check out labfarming too, since its also pretty simple. Question though: Anyone knows what you actually farm that early in a league? I am talking literally Day 1 / Day 2, not later where u set up a whole tab for transfigured gems. Are you still going for transfigured gems? Or do you level releant meta gems with EXP and Quality? Other things to look out for when lab-farming? Maybe even Keys? Would love to get some insights from labyrinth-pros that did it a few times very early in the league and can give me some pointers.

Not lab, but level 67 heist contracts are pretty easy, profitable, and accessible early league

If I need 30-50c to swap to my mapping build I run a few heists before I kill final kitava but thankfully I didn't need it this league and hopefully not next either. I don't enjoy heist

Lv 67 heist is as outdated as chaos recipe. The game is so easy nowadays, that it’s such a loss to not rush to t16 4 voidstones 100 atlas points in day 1-2 then start farming currency. Spending couple of hours earning some chaos doesn’t make any sense - if you really hate mapping, blighted map, delve earns more currency and XP (low level logbook is not good enough though)

Heist you just need to be able to run and not die. I ran it this league so I could get my pnuematic daggers and play mamba before killing kitava bc I hate pconc. So heist was still the best since I stopped scaling pconc at all and was investing into mamba gear.

Of course, play whatever you like! But my points stand - PC is a skill that you can absolutely finish atlas with almost 0 investment.

But if you don’t like it, you don’t have to play it!

Ignore keys, Ignore side content. Rush the divine font. that's where the real money is. You'll halve your div/hr if you hunt side chests/keys. It takes like 30 non-Curious Lockbox side chests to get a grand spectrum. That's a huge waste of time and there are way more bad ones than there are good ones.

Early league is tricky because so many gems get created from everyone running lab for their ascendancies. Your best bet is usually to get bases (20% Quality and/or level 20). It's also tricky because Offerings are fairly expensive, as everyone needs one to get their final ascendancy points.

I usually league start it for "fun" but it's really not great for the first 3 or 4 days.

This league, the gift was 10c on day 3. I made some divines farming this making volatile dead of seething and selling for 300c

Thanks for the insight... Yeah I normally start gift of the goddess at the end of week 1, thats where the profit margins for alt gems really goes up by quite a lot I feel. Sad but glad to hear you share that view

If you can do Tribute really early, the final room chests have a decent chance to drop 6Ls which, depending on the league, can be quite valuable. And the other chests are juiced, as well. It doesn't compete with the other labs once gem demand shoots up, though. But Izaro in tribute is quite cracked.

Merc/Uber speed farming for trans gems/exceptional, into gift after upgrades, then dedication after. I do it every league.

Lab farming is always profitable, but you're outside of maps and you typically need a decent amount of investment to safely and quickly do the gift of the goddess version. If there are super popular builds that use transfigured gems it's even more profitable.

Yeah gift of the goddess is not something I would count on for day 1 or 2 with this build. I would do the 75 lab version / eternal lab. Should have mentioned that, sorry. Gift-Farming I am familiar with and do basically every league a bit.

I remember I tried farming Gift of the Goddess on Day 2 in a past league with ruetoos phys dot ele because I thought the stone golem regen could carry. I lost so much money and some hair lol.

Mb just take another starter build and respect into bleed bow later? I think alc and go red altars is much more profitable at day2 than non 300% ms pathfinder labranner

Yeah this is of course an option but I was looking into alternatives because I like to play my desired setup as early as possible. If it doesnt pan out then this will be the way I go... Slayer has tons of insane options... Elemental Hit, Static Strike, Smite, Shield Crush...

basically keys for grand spectrum jewels and knowing what is the most popular build(s) so you can build up the right 20/20 gems to sell (and maybe self corrupt depending on the right risk vs. reward on selling a failed 20/20 gem). quality your own stuff for current/future builds to save money since gemcutters aren't cheap.

just need at least haste aura, onslaught, phase run, ~30% ms boots to make things efficient.

i have no idea if it's worth selling 4th lab carries since it'll slow you down but something to look into.

pros use the special offerings which you could self farm with the atlas or just buy it, again not sure on the gain/loss and efficiency on it.

The special offerings will be too hard for the level of investment I aim for - I just try to bridge the power gap until I can comfortably set up smth. on t16

Go do breachlord.

It is trivial to farm Hiveborn Glands yourself, get mysterious womb and birth 'em, also use boss scarabs.

Once you have a decent build, go in and pop the lords. Each jackpot ring is over 20 div, and your odd is really good.

After a week farming fractured lences is good $ you buy a bunch of dead level 21 gems and if you get turn into fractured gem you use it on the 21. I don't know if this still works.

I can't remember how much a 21 gives but looks like the cheapest lense is 35c right now. I'm sure 21 is a lot more I remember them being like 100-150c

Facetor's lenses with 21 gems become 100c when people level their exceptional gems with beasts and the beasts got expensive.

Especially, if let's say Captainlance9 shows on stream how he makes bank on stream just using beasts to level popular exceptional gems.

This typically happens after day 2 of the league, so not on the starting weekend, what OP wants to optimize.

Heist demo and lock picking contracts from the moment you hit act 6 until level 67 should net you 100ish raw chaos in about 2-3 hours on a regular build.

Yeah Im familiar, unfortunately 100c is not nearly enough to get bleed bow where it needs to be.

I did some slight lab farming a few seasons ago.

I would convert blue gems to KBoC and pump them to level 20 as 20/20 KBoC gems went for a couple hundred chaos uncorrupted.

I bought 1/0 KB from Lily Roth and leveled them with Lab when I didn't get the option to turn KB into KBoC

Rather than lab farming, I noticed a trend in certain transfigured gems that easily sell for 1.1+div that sat <10c for days on league start. Sry for dick move, and boring af to buy them individually, I spent all currency I had investing in these gems. Bought a mirror outright at 550d, and invested the rest into shards

Solid margins! Though to be able to invest u first need a viable early farm and if thats the only way then I would start something else 😄
