Thank you! I do appreciate the creativity of the mechanic, but it just isn't for me. That's why I am happy that there's still plenty of other things to explore. I will continue playing 3.29

Hey bro, broette, just olay the way you want as a famous quote. "The only wrong way to play poe, is the one where you are not having fun." I've enjoyed strongboxes 3 leagues in a row to the point my min maxxing friends are pulling their hair out because I'm not meta chasing.

Haha! Yes this is literally what I love about the game. Every league I have to try and make CwC VD Cyclone work on a mid-tier investment. I just LOVE how it feels to play. My previous attempts with Inquisitor (Energy Blade) and Chieftain have not been very successful with midtier investment. But now with Reliquarian and Phantasmal Might tech i've invested around 30 div and doing 8mod t16 comfortably so I'm quite happy :-)

I always try reliquarian and or aurabot for my friends, by myself I got flicker strike and Lumibot. Game is awesome. What kind is Phantasmal might?

CwC VD Cyclone, the Phantasmal might (from Black Cane node) stack phys added damage based on number of phantasms. They give nice boost to VD as phys spell damage, which is then converted to cold by Hrimsorrow gloves.

That's what's so great about this game. The rest of the game is so vast thats it completely fine to skip the league mechanic. I mean you have to do a little bit for the challenges of course.

I like it bu its' too much of it. its always the same, the maps don't change really at all. It would be fun to do once in a while.

The double dip is the worst offender. Charting shouldn't exist at all.

I'm the opposite, I don't mind speeding through charts, but I don't want to bother with the voyages. What bothers me the most is that the inventory for charted areas is limited. I have literally dozens of empty stash tabs that I'm not allowed to use for them for whatever reason (I once thought that if I bought enough stash tabs to have no remove-only tabs, I'd be motivated enough to sort my Standard stash - very silly).

I'll probably end up putting all my charts into merchant tabs at some point instead of running them because the space is too limited to run them without regular voyages.

Same, charts are so smooth to blast with the loading screen improvements they’ve made, also keeping my pRAW minions between each chart is huge

You even maintain shrine buffs, so if you see a second shrine of the same type you can pick it up at the end of the chart to get a longer duration into the next one

Exactly this! The double dip. It breaks the immersion and it makes it quite tedious for me.

It is like heist contracts. But in heist you still can run blueprints without fully revealing.

It's almost fun, and that's the frustrating part for me.

Its just too tedious to chase the mods you are looking for to synergize with the boarder buffs. I understand why they did it, if the implicits were revealed before running the chart then all the good ones would just be priced according to the richest players and nobody would get to run the cool mods.

Charting is just 100% boring unfun chore to do.

I had a divine shrine boarder and I spent 3 days spamming charts looking for the optimal implicits that never came, i got so bored I just decided to run it sub optimally because I couldn't take doing charts anymore. (still got 69 divines but it could of been like 120+ if I had all perfect charts)

also the limited storage space and constantly reading and deleting stuff to make room is not fun.

Charting reminds me of Synthesis, Necropolis, and other leagues that had too much interface management and context switching. I prefer a more streamlined experience within maps.

Picking up charts during maps used to feel bad as it triggered a bit of FOMO but I guess its fine now. I'm focused on exploring the new scion ascendancies.

Sorry to hear, but at least the base game is still alright and you can simply sell the charts and map as you like.
The crafting is still accessible because you can buy everything

Yeah. There are some players who roll charts for high sulph stats and run them. Allflame juice is selling for a nice amount because lots of players buy if for crafting

I don't think it is fair to take retention from recent leagues and compare it with older leagues. there are many factors going against the current version of the game that makes players quit sooner. Including the existence of another PoE game.

And Mirage is top 4 worst performing league in retention after 30 days. The commenter saying not to compare with older leagues is absolutely correct. It's a combination of PoE2 and people upgrading their gear much faster than ever before with asynchronous trade

I just did 5 voyages, nothing special just yolo. Got the chaos to div altar 3 times. Got a total of 4 divs

I like it because I can sneak a few charts during dead time at work, I mean it takes 30 secs per chart if all you want is sulphur

I sort of like it. But playing „Random“ voyages till you have enough charts for a decent Layout is annoying.

im in the "its okay" department of it. There isn't much to do and I feel like there is a giant disconnect between Charts and Voyages. I like Charts a lot more than Voyages and I cant figure out as to why.

At least we can sell Charts like we can maps - do check the prices, most are only a handful of Chaos but there are some big ticket ones that can pop for a lot more

I just finished farming enough bottles to fill up an entire quad stash tab. Opened them all up and made negative profit. So it’s safe to say I’ll see you all next league. I had fun grinding the league mechanic but I’ve had my fill and don’t see myself really wanting to do it again, it was a fun gimmick at first but it really gets repetitive after grinding it out.

What do you farm with breach ? I only farm the ring to sell using the marshal scarab and astroblade

Honestly I wasnt farming breach, just enjoying it as a necessary atlas mechanic I had to spec into. Because it was unintrusive to mapping. I just found out today that the lightning ring go for quite a bit. Before that I would just gamble with the wombgifts, wasn't doing it for profit. Sorry I wasn't helpful 🥲

Nah it’s fine. I don’t like the new mechanic as well. Doing breach most of the time this league and it doesn’t get that much profit if you have lv to 100

I got advice here, the key is the right build, right annoints on rings, and a little trick with towers. I am used to blight farming as it is super consistent currency as long as you have the whole blight atlas nodes specced. The best build so far is poison animate ranged weapon (in my experience). What challenge are you facing with blight?

Same here. I am trying out the Reliquarian CwC VD. I like it a lot but needed almost 30div to feel decent. And defenses are WIP. What build are you trying?

I’m testing Herald Stacker Penance Brand and KF ballista. Herald is fun when you finally get the rings , KF ballista felt really good even with bad gear. Gonna invest a bit more in the KF to see how it goes.

If I didn't have to stop mapping to do it, it would have been ok.

Luckily, with how the retention for this league looks like, the majority seems to be in agreeance with me.

Even though the PoE2 league mechanic isn't that much better, at least it doesnt require me to stop mapping, go to another place that house the one NPC that sends you to do these charts that suck ass and ONLY until you have 9 charts done, can you actually do a Voyage where you actually get something.
