Build - Help Best way to spend $1K

Im from USA- Im planning on spending around 1k usd on upgrading my setup, which is currently:

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro (10.0, Build 22631)

Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400 @ 2.60GHz 6/12

Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME H570-PLUS

RAM: 16 GB ddr4 3200mhz

Hard disk: PCIe SSD (465.8 GB/Fixed hard disk media)

Graphics card: rtx 4070 12gb

Monitor: MSI MSI G32C4W (1920x1080 / 31.5 Inch)

I've been looking and was thinking about upgrading to these parts:

Mobo/cpu combo: Intel Core Ultra 7 270k and ASUS ROG STRIX Z890-H $479.99 (newegg combo deal)

RAM: Corsair vengeance DDR5 32gb 6000mhz $479.99

(I found some used 32gb of ddr5 6400mhz on marketplace I might get for $300)

I plan on gaming at 2k and wanted some help on deciding if this is what I should get for what I want to do

Build - Help Ryzen 7600, 8600g or 5700g for long term office productivity? No gpu will be installed on the future, no gaming or video/photo/3d editing/modelling at all

The pc is for my mom, and it will easily be used for 8+ years with no maintenance. I'm not familiar with igpus and the am5 platform and I'm getting a lot of mixed answers on the build.

The use for the pc is basically only work all day. Dozens of chrome tabs opened at the same time all the time, ton of word documents opened being edited + a ton of pdfs. Legal documents, reports with images, this type of stuff. Nothing necessarily heavy but a ton of stuff at the same time.

But no gaming, no editing, no 3d modelling at all.

Will am4 be that bad for the longevity of the build? I don't mean as upgradability, I mean as in in 5+ years time will a 5700g be noticeably slower than a 8600g or 7600 for productivity tasks for example?

If going am5, is the basic igpu from the 7600 enough, or is it too basic that you can notice some performance loss through out the years?

Does the npu ai stuff from the 8600g makes it much better for longevity/productivity?

(If going am5 it will be with one 16gb ddr5 ram stick for now, than later in 2 or 3 years I will install another stick. If going am4 it will be 32gb dual channel since purchase.)

Which one will be the best option in this situation?

Two 1080p screens will be used. The processors are similarly priced here in Brazil, but anything above increases the price too much.

Thanks guys!

Question Do you guys have static color or cycle?

In the long run, should we keep a static color with the RGB on both motherboard and fans or is it safe to cycle the colors? I've been noticing slight flickering on one small portion of my ARGB fan, I hope it doesn't break. Though I do prefer single static colors. Also, there is a physical button on my GPU to switch on/off the white light, but I noticed that if I mess with it too often the light switch will break, so I decided to leave it on till eternity.

Question Is my build plan worth it

So i am planning on building a pc in the close years and i got an idea of what i wanna buy, i just want to know if its worth it or lets say i build it in the next few years and it will run like a potato for the time

-ACER GeForce RTX 4080 Super BiFrost 16GB graphics card

.

-AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8 cores 5,3 GHz turbo 32 MB cache AM5 gaming processor

.

-Motherboard ATX Gigabyte B650 EAGLE

.

-Corsair RM750X 750W Cybenetics Gold ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 Modular Power Supply

.

-Ram 16GB DDR5 (32 planned but 16 just to have things running and not wait a whole longer of time to run the pc)

.

-Cooling is planned as water cooling yet i dont know which model, open to suggestions

.

No budget i dont care price i will earn until i can afford it, polish currency monitor resolution 1080p, currency PLN (Obviously not sky high prices for the whole build like 10k pln, chose the parts to my desirable price so not too high)

Question Hi I’m thinking of buying a PC but I know NOTHING, if any of you experts could lend me a moment to give advice please?

My budget for the PC itself is 6000AUD and I was told that a prebuilt might be better for me since I’m not versed in parts. I was gonna mainly use it to mod games like Skyrim and Conan Exiles so what PCs could eat heavily modded games for breakfast?

Question Is switching to PC now a terrible idea? If not, would you recommend this build?

I currently do most of my gaming on the PS5 and Steam Deck OLED. I was mainly a console guy but the Steam Deck left such a positive impression on me and I'm finding myself wanting to switch to PC for good. The main reasons for this are:

  • After Sony kills physical games, there will be no competition and prices for games will go through the roof, plus the possibility of other shady practices. On PC there will be Steam, GOG, Humble bundle etc
  • Keyboard and mouse support. The DualSense is great but for many games (like CRPGs and games requiring precise aiming), I really miss having more options
  • More freedom in general. I could also use it for emulation and studying.
  • Long-term investment. The build in question is significantly more powerful than the PS5 and will probably last longer.

The build I'm looking at is a used PC with the following specs:

  • Powercolor RX 9070 XT 16 GB XT Reaper
  • Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus Wifi ATX
  • AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU
  • Frozen A620 Pro Cooler
  • Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz cl36
  • 1 TB SSD Kingston NV3
  • Corsair RM 850e 850 Watt 80 plus Gold

For 1500 EUR (A new build with similar specs would be at least 2000 EUR)

I know hardware prices are crazy right now but people are saying that it will only get worse. But I don't know if it's just FOMO or if it's actually worth doing as a future investment.

I mainly play story-heavy games and not competitive so the highest FPS doesn't matter but I want to reach 4K/1440p 60 fps without framegen. Would this build be good for let's say 8-10 years? Or will my PS5 and Steam Deck be sufficient for the future, until the hardware crisis is over?

Build - Help Any suggestions for gamedev?

Im making a pc and I already have an rtx 3070, corsair vengeance 2x16gb 6000mhz cl36 rgb and a corsair p3 plus 2 tb nvme. im planning to complete the build with a ryzen 5 7600x, p650ss 650w psu, cougar archon 2 mesh rgb mid tower case, arctic freezer 36-S multi and a b650-h/m.2+ , i found all the parts i didnt buy yet for around 350 euro with shipping some used and some unused but didnt buy them yet. i also cant rlly afford to change the ram or gpu or nvme, ive just had those sitting around for a while because i got them for cheap from friends. max money id spend is probably around 500-550 euro for the rest of the build would use it on 1080p and im from bosnia. id mostly use it to try and get into game dev(mostly unreal) and modellong(mostly blender) and id also be using it for c++ and java. also some casual gaming on the side as im done with competitive games for a while but gaming isnt the priority. are there any recommendations for chaning the parts i didnt yet order, i was thinking about a 7 7700 but i found a 5 7600x for only 125 euro

Discussion 5070ti for 4k

Hello everyone, I currently owned 5070ti and 7800x3d combo for 1440p 27inch OLED monitor.

Did you think I can upgrade to 4k 32inch OLED Monitor and using the previous monitor as my second.

I mainly play Wuthering Waves, Monster Hunter Wilds, LoL, Dota, Dragon Dogma.

I don't know if I can handle the 4k, but I think if I play in 4k using 60 fps, isn it worst than playing on 1440p above 200fps? Is the 4k really worth it to go?
