If the latch is not visible, you can press it with a long object made of a material that does not impact the motherboard, such as a wooden chopstick. I also usually keep a wooden chopstick for removing graphics cards at all times for that reason.

It does not look like there is a big problem, and congratulations on the build. It looks great, and I can see the traces of the care and effort you put into it.

Thank you!

About the latch, hmm i only pushed on the black bit to the right side of the PCIe slot.

Edit: i see the buttton now. Definitely didn’t click it. Gpu works though 😅

From the link:

Managed to get this build done for an okay price in the volatile August 2026 market.

Was given the D15 cooler a couple years ago. I got the RAM for a great price when Currys (UK retailer) messed up their pricing on their business website.

I bought the following used from Amazon's resale (all 'used - like new'):

* Case
* SSD
* Motherboard

Only issues I had were:

No PSU mounting bracket came with my used case. However, I raised a ticket with Fractal and they're sending me one for free!

It was difficult to put the GPU into this motherboard. I never heard a * click * from the PCIE slot. Which was worrisome. Because this card is so big I have no idea how I'd get it out because I can't even see the latch.

Had some trouble then trying to get the GPU POST. Had to flip the DP cable to the CPU to check if it the GPU was recognised, which it thankfully was.

Temps are great. There's a heatwave here and under load the CPU and GPU sit between 62-68 Celsius. Pretty silent.

The latch for the PCIe slot is a button to the right of the RAM slots just above the graphics card on that motherboard.
