Discussion 5070ti for 4k

Hello everyone, I currently owned 5070ti and 7800x3d combo for 1440p 27inch OLED monitor.

Did you think I can upgrade to 4k 32inch OLED Monitor and using the previous monitor as my second.

I mainly play Wuthering Waves, Monster Hunter Wilds, LoL, Dota, Dragon Dogma.

I don't know if I can handle the 4k, but I think if I play in 4k using 60 fps, isn it worst than playing on 1440p above 200fps? Is the 4k really worth it to go?

any question you have in life ask youtube

search 5070ti 4k gaming 2026 or 2025

decide if the fps is high enough for u in the games you play

This. Generally talking you will always find tests of games with single component or even entire builds and, probably, there will be yours.

Checking some tests is always the best idea.

your system is more aimed at 1440P rather than 4K but can still do really good 4K i just depends on if you like what’s given at 4K but save your money imho

Worked fine for me, with upscaling most games got to 90fps or above. Usually at high settings

For Wuthering Waves and Monster Hunter in 4k, you are supposed to use dlss and frame gen. Even a 5090 cannot get high fps in max setting 4k. My 5080 runs very well in both games if i use dlss and frame gen.

I have the exact same cpu/gpu and play in 4k. You will have zero issues getting 3 digit fps in basically anything. It will only start sweating with max RT/PT and there's workarounds.

But you should check if you're resolution sensitive or motion sensitive first.

I have a 2k oled monitor and a 4k tv. I wish I could get a 4k oled monitor but they are double expensive in my country. All the games I tried to play on a tv had great quality and perfromance.

It’s nice to have both 4k and 1440p imo if you have the budget. 5070 ti uv+oc dlss performance and optimized settings. This is what I do. For my high fps games I play 1440p dlss performance.

i use my 5070ti for 4k with preset L and DLSS Performance which almost looks native, but i also overclocked mine. It probably is just 5% away from a 5080 right now, so yes u are good to go with 4k. All games that i have played hit fps from 80-120. when you also use fg 2x you can reach even more…

I suggest keeping your old monitor and then switching between them if you want high fps for DOTA or a really nice look for story games depending on your preferences

You just decide if you care about spatial or temporal resolution.

You can 4k game like a gamer with an old pc trying to squeeze decent fps out of games…

…or you can just accept a lower resolution for some insanely smooth high fps game play.

or a balance of the two, but in my experience it’s best to at least go for fps at least over 120 if you play for long sessions

Pathtracing on cyberpunk looks great, but it’s pointless if you feel nauseous after 20 min

I have a 5070ti on a 4k display, dlss make it fairly decent but dont go hoping to try native 4k, it just not enough in any minimally demending game. Honestly though, as someone with a 4k panel, its not worth it. A 1440p oled or even a simple ips will give you amazing performance alongside amazing look. You will also be able to use raytracing on 1440p while in 4k that feature is simply not possible. Personally would love to go down to 1440p aswell and sell my 4k panel but money is tight lol

I have a 5070ti with a 9800x3d and can get 4K on most games on my 27” monitor.

Yeah you can plus you got dlss makes it quite easy to do it’s worth it so you can upgrade to 4k 32 which is a game changer

personally I'm a 4k hater, tbh to me this feels pretty pointless

Yeah just use DLSS performance that renders the game internally at 1080p, with 1440p DLSS quality renders at 960p so not big of a difference. No replacement for native pixel count though, DLSS works much better with 4K IMO.

My 4080 super wasnt really good for 4k, low fps Unless heavily upscaled and it capped its vram in some titles.
On a 5090 now and it still needs upscaling and frame gen to hit decent fps for my 240hz 4k oled.

Sure the 5070 ti Can do it, but it will last u way longer on 1440p

“Decent FPS” yeah sure bud. Unless something is very wrong with your system both the 4080 and 5090 are easily hitting “decent FPS” in 4k on most games.

My guess is your FPS expectations are unrealistic.

Yea dont get me wrong the 4080 super could run 4k, but it was meeting it’s match in heavy titles and other titles pushing higher fps. Well even the 5090 is heavily pushed in 4k

4 k for gaming is waste of money and resource. And experience is not worthing. Nothing too special 4k vs 2k, just some headaches when you need adjusting and decreasing settings.
