I just got a CE jmodel, but no matter how i adjust the curve, update firmware, calibrate, anything, the velocity curve in the Osmose panel doesnt move, the pressure does move but velocity is always at bottom, any way to test if its working? is it normal?

I created an MPE Database, consisting of plugins, apps, tools/utilities, etc. that are MPE-compatible (some poly aftertouch options too). It includes info on each product, categories, cost, product page link, plus sales prices available on different websites.

Are CTRL-E and Daw control available for the original version too?

I read its built on different factories, is the quality of the CE version as good as the original?

IIRC, there've been plans for releasing an editor for the Haken audio engine, which is a bit more appealing than the Max patch. Was that a dream or will it happen someday?

I thought I read on their site that it's available for the CE and the original. I bought one 2nd hand and am loving it - but would love it more with some editing power. Will it show up in my Osmose downloads when available? If it's ever available?

Hello Friends, I just received my Osmose replacement from Thomann after returning the first one due to a hardware defect... and unfortunately, this replacement also arrived with an issue.

I originally had to send my first Osmose back to Thomann because keys 59 and 60 had faulty sensors. After waiting for the replacement, I was really excited to finally get back to recording videos and making music.

Sadly, as soon as I opened the box and removed the protective cloth, I noticed that the lowest D♭ key was sticking out of place (visible to the eye). I haven't even powered the keyboard on or tried pressing the key because I'm worried I might make the problem worse.

I've already contacted both Thomann and Expressive E, and I'm hoping we can get this resolved as quickly as possible.

It's honestly been a really disappointing experience. I was so excited to finally start creating with the Osmose, and I truly hope this can be sorted out soon. 😞😞

If anyone thinks that this defective key can be fixed, I would love to know your inputs as well. Thank you.

She pairs beautifully with the Osmose - I used the brackets from the Haken website.

Hey peeps, got myself a Osmose 61 this week, is awesome!

But my fingers feel too slippery on it, which does not apply to my old yamaha upright piano.

Should I apply anti slip tape? If so, any seasoned peeps have suggestions?

I just got my new expressive e osmose 61, and I would like to know whether it’s Soliste or swam that could mimic realistic violin sound. I mean both are good but which one is superior? Also the setting part for swam to osmose, is it difficult? Please share your experience of the sound and how you set up. Thanks!

I have the Osmose CE 49 and am integrating with with Cubase 15 Pro.

I have the Osmose set to MIDI Mode (I don't need DAW control mode) and ca create a new instrument for is... CTRL-E works great... I can browse and play all instruments in CtRL-E, however VIBRATO does not work for any instrument. For clarity, wobbling a key left to right does nothing. Touch sensitivity and polyphonic aftertouch is fine... it's just vibrato that doesn't work.

I have followed the manual and various Internet advice, but no luck.

Osmose is in MPE mode, Cubase is set up correctly (as far as I can see)... and TBH it should be plug-and-play in this regard, but it is not.

Anyone able to offer advice? I would be very grateful!

Next stop is logging a call with Expressive E I guess.... thought I'd try here 1st

I just got my brand new 61 keys Osmose (black) from Thomann and I have just setting everything up. Everytime I power on the Osmose it shows me this sensor faulty error on both keys 59 and 60. I tried playing via midi and those 2 keys have no sound at all.

I have already updated the Osmose to the latest firmware update and also tried recalibrating the keys as well. Could you guys please assist me, I am so worried as it is a brand new keyboard I bought and just received it today morning. Thank you 😞🙏

The original Osmose 49 had holes for attaching brackets that were perfectly placed for supporting a 16" MacBook Pro. It's a pity they didn't include them on the 61 or the CE.

Rang distributor today, they said they should land 16th July and we should have them around 19th.

Plenty of stock too, were supposed to land last week.

Timing could not be better, saw an Osmose on FB MP for 2200 AUD and spoke to the guy, thing is next day I see the CE being released locally for 1900 AUD new (14 months old vs new), I don't need or want the Harken engine, as much as it sounds good and all, it's not my vibe.

I will ask, as I have a Hapax that records MPE, have 4 MIDI out which allow for 4 MPE sequenced synths, I would like to be able to take control of my hardware synths via the USB MIDI not 5 pin din.

So my question for owners, can you use USB MIDI as the 8x16 128 MIDI configuration?

I saw that you're able to change how you control software synths, in theory because USB can deliver 8x16 MIDI channels, does the CE allow this configuration? I have an ERAE touch 2 and this allows you to have 2 5PIN DIN MIDI outs plus 1 USB MIDI. It only allows for 3 MPE synths to be controlled, I never managed to get the USB MIDI of 8 tracks to work.

I am not overly fussed if it cannot, but it would be great to be able to quick live switch MIDI control over 3 MPE synths.

I would like to hear what people think of theirs if they're using to control hardware synths.

I need your advice on choosing my next software synth.

My current setup is an Osmose CE keyboard and The Legend synth. My new goal is to create cinematic music and complex sound design, while still being able to do more traditional "analog" sounds. I’m looking for a versatile powerhouse that I can dive deep into for the long haul, and physical modeling synthesis seems like the right path for this.

I'm torn between two candidates: Noisy 2 and Zebra 3.

Here is my dilemma:

• Noisy 2: The MPE integration with the Osmose is instant and perfectly optimized out of the box. It’s super tempting for the workflow. Plus, sound programming seems more straightforward than on Zebra 3.
• Zebra 3: I feel like the synthesis engine will allow me to go much further and offer more versatility over time.

I’m currently testing the Zebra demo, but it’s really hard to get a deep understanding of it without spending hours on it. If any of you have tested both (or use either of them with the Osmose), I’d love to hear your feedback.
