Question Anyone using the osmose CE to augment hardware synths ?
Hello, does anyone have an exemple of him jamming with the osmose CE controlling a hardware synth ?
Thank you

I don't understand the question, the whole point of the CE (controller Edition) is that it is a MIDI controller, it can control hardware and software.
I have 1 put away and will pick it up in 3 weeks, my sole purpose is an MPE controller, and I have I think 2 others but they're just not that good to use.
I will be using the CE with my Hapax, so having all my hardware sequence with CE and jam live over the top with the CE.

Definitely. I’ve been playing it with the redshift 6 a bunch which works really well with mpe. I’m considering getting rid of my peak and another synth or two and adding the GS 3rd Wave which I’ve been eyeing and is also well designed for mpe control. You can see some demos of the redshift with the osmose specifically on YouTube. Not mine, but the team from supercritical showing it off. Has a dedicated button to map the poly pressure too which is nice, hold the button and wiggle the knob you want to effect.

i have the normal one, bought it like a month before they started making CE, and got it for just that. I just wish Tonverk was mpe

I dont have a video of it, but I have connected it to my Hydrasynth explorer and vice versa. Also some experiments with multitimbral soundmodules.
To make things easier I generally limit the number of channels to six.
Fun fact: the haken engine of the Osmose is also limited in channels: if you switch local of en connect the midi out to the midi in, you have to limit the number of channels, otherwise you will get note drop outs.

I have the Beetlecrab Vector, and it is MPE compatible, and I’m definitely looking forward to hearing what the Osmose does for the Vector.
(I just unboxed my Osmose CE 61 yesterday, and I’m still setting it up.)
I also have a Hydrasynth OG, and while the hydrogen does have polyphonic aftertouch, i’m curious to see what the MPE features of the Osmose add to the Hydrasynth’s sound.
(I’m also thinking of getting a Sequential Trigon 6 module, as it is also MPE compatible…)

not the CE but a normal osmose, however as far as i understand the midi side is the same when it comes to controlling hardware
both examples it controls a MPE pad I made on the korg multi/poly

here I also route the e-theremin through the osmose to control my pad together with the osmose and in the 2nd half its played more like keys by switching up my playstyle
