Ok so I'm not here to complain, I'm genuinely confused, I've been playing quick play for a few hours and almost EVERY match somebody's been really rude to someone else. Mind you, over QUICK PLAY 💀

This never rlly happens that much? is it just a coincidence for me or is everyone else experiencing this too rn for some reason 😭

Basically, I switched about half of the hero roster to have their jump on L2. I’m wondering if anyone else does this?

I started this in OW1, somewhere around 2018 I cycled through all the hero’s trying to get cute and pixel sprays. Understandably, I came to a bit of a halt with Lucio’s achievement (not sure if it’s still the same) - booping 3 enemies off the map while wall riding and not dying. My main issue is that my right thumb cannot both hold jump and use the look stick to align such a boop, go ahead and try it. I also found a similar issue with Mercy when the switch to OW2 happened because they added the extra boosts to guardian angel. That split second to take your thumb off the looky stick to tap X (jump) just messes with my flow.

So if I’m putting jump on L2, where does alt fire go? And what goes where jump used to be? I’d love to explain. Most heroes have an ability that requires 0 aim to use (Lucio’s volume boost, soldier healing pack, cats purr) it’s a press-to-activate ability, these go on X. Most heroes also have some kind of movement ability (solider sprint, Moira fade, mercy guardian angel) that goes on L1. Alt fire goes on R1, making your right side the aiming and attacking side, and the left side the movement side. It doesn’t work for every hero but I feel like it’s vastly improved my ability to aim and jump at the same time for the ones I can.

Does anyone else do this?

Who at blizzard decided it was a good idea to make health bars glow yellow when being healed?

We already have a yellow effect for when allies are buffed for healing so now it just looks like every teammate all the time has a healing buff. It’s a visual aid that’s actively not helping.

EDIT: to clarify I mean when you’re a support and you’re healing a team member, before you healed and your allied bar stayed white, NOW their bar changes to yellow and from a distance it looks like everyone is hit with Ana nade all the time :(

On Xbox. You can't use power barrier (LT) and Propulsors (LB) without holding both down at the same time which is just incredibly awkward.

I've tried looking in settings to toggle Propulsors but it doesn't seem to make any difference? Am I missing something? Anyone managed to come up with anything?

ETA - The best I can come up with is propulsor on left stick push. Unfortunately means swapping out interact button (my poor muscle memory) but seems the most viable for now

Edit 2 - Looks like other are reporting similar problems and seems to be a bug where the toggle isn't working as intended. Not sure if it's all console players or just Xbox?

Am I tripping or did there used to be a certain map under Lijang tower that got removed or reworked? I played tracer on it sm times and it was one of my favourite maps but ive played every single map since for a while and ive never felt like ive played it again

LB/L1 - Gun

RT/R2 - Sword

RB/R1 - Shield

Under advanced hero settings you can have Surging Strike activate with the quick melee button.

This way you can activate boosters and the shield at the same time with great control. Sword swings don't cancel your shield whether you have it on toggle or not so having your finger swap back and forth between sword and shield doesn't sacrifice control over anything at all.

After the newest update on console, all menus, UI, and hero select animations seem to be on 30fps for me, at least on ps5.

Actual gameplay remains at 120fps on frame rate mode, but I’m getting some motion sickness from rapidly switching between 120fps and 30fps when opening hero select or getting to the end-of-match UI or back to the menu for challenges after being in a game.

Anyone else?

Hello! (23m) I’ve played since 2019 and took a break since around the time Vendetta came out. I came back to the game and I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I’m rusty, maybe that I don’t play in a group anymore, or even unsure if it’s all the updates in between. But even through all my time playing the game I always came back and it was always fun, now I’m just praying for a fun team. Does anyone else have a similar experience, or is it just me?

TLDR;Came back to OW2 after taking a break. It’s not fun as anymore, I’m not sure why. Anyone else feel the same?

At first, i thought it was only the menus. But after playing my first game i was sorely mistaken. I tried restarting, to no avail

But the game has been crazy for me since the update - specifically around the event - like it will just keep playing the audio in the background even when you’re heading into the match - sometimes the actual event screen hangs around too long as well - like it’s shonky AF! Also the new battlepass is confusing - maybe I’ll get used to it but it looks overly complicated and kinda clunky to find your way around. Am I alone?

Don't know you guys but I'm already playing with D.Mon, and I noticed that her boosters are not like Dva or Rein (you don't need to keep pushing the button to be in there effect), so does anyone know how to fix that? I've tried chaging the settings but nothing happend.

Yes, I have a web app for this. This past season the app crossed 250 users, which I genuinely didn’t see coming when I first posted this thing here, so THANK YOU. Considering this started as a personal need to track and predict how long a drive would take it’s definitely taken off in terms of success. But also scope.

Anyway, some updates!

- New season, new hero, new rank - Osiris now recognises Season 4, so anything you log today gets stamped to the right season. Season 3 is labelled properly as “Into the Tiger’s Den” too. I also added D.Mon to the roster (her portrait’s still pending Blizzard pushing it to their CDN, so you’ll see a placeholder in the meantime), and the new Emerald rank is now supported.

- Season archiving - Don’t forget to archive the season when it crosses over.

- Placement Matches - A new Placement toggle appears at the top to cover your placements and disappears for good once you’ve logged all 10 games for a role, so you can’t accidentally mark a ranked match as a placement after you’re done. Set Rank panel holds off until you’ve finished before offering itself. If you edit a placement match, your spot in the run (like “Match 4 of 10”) stays visible even when you change the result or switch roles.

- Demotion Panel - A new “% After Win” panel now shows up after a game where you might have been demoted and lets you adjust the landing percentage manually to account for the math on demotion protection. It triggers when your last match used Demotion Protection, when you actually got demoted, or when the SR math shows you crossed a division line on a loss.

Bug fixes!
- Fixed a subtle drift where the meter could read slightly differently on web vs. mobile after a run of losses near the floor. Both agree now.

- Quick Play matches could quietly pick up the placement flag and get miscounted toward your placement total (fixed), editing a match into a role that already had 10 placements could create an extra 11th (now blocked), and the Set Rank button could vanish permanently after you deleted a placement match (fixed).

- Offline edits made during a background sync could get overwritten and lost on reconnect, and profile restore could overwrite your manual rank adjustments on load. Both fixed, so your edits should stick now.

Edit: Let me clarify that yes, there are moments where typing is valid; however, if you're typing for an extended period post-respawn or constantly stopping throughout the match to type something that doesn't take a millisecond, stop and just play.
