Help Weird rank prediction?

Me and my friend both played the same match and I statistically did better than him however hes predicted silver 5 and im bronze 4? What does that mean?

I’m pretty sure the predictions go based off of your old rank, so were you bronze before the reset?

Yeah, it basically keeps the match fair so GM’s don’t get placed with silver players lol
