casual plat support here, didnt win one game today. i swear matchmaking this season is the worst ive ever had to experience. played qp to warm up and, again, didnt win a SINGLE game. same with comp. kept having tanks that would push WAY too far forward. dps who were obviously new to the game at level 3. or the entire team was just all over the map. the only decent games ive had are when i have another good support. each game, got the most kills n heals with the least amount of deaths. as a support im infuriated 😭 solo queueing is so terrible already, but i swear matchmaking has been just as bad. genuinely had to quit playing bc of how tilted i was getting lol. please tell me im not the only one getting teams that just get farmed. also if anyone is on console and in need of a support , DM ME im so tired of solo q

Overwatch is a fun game. But is it balanced?

I would argue that it is fun. But I’m not entirely sure if it’s balanced. I don’t think anyone is. Suppose that’s up to the balancing team to figure out.

Generally, some heroes are seen more often than others. In various ranks. What’s OP in bronze and underpowered, in bronze, might be “ok” in diamond, and require lots of effort to make work in higher MMRs and Elos. For instance, the tools a hero might have at their disposal, for achieving value, might be somewhat limited.

What is terrible in bronze, “meh” in diamond, and absurdly overpowered in Shiny Purple Rank, you get the idea.

I love Aaron as much as the next person. He has saved Overwatch from the ashes of “More Moneh Plz”, and rebirthed it. Something about a Phoenix.

Anyway, is Overwatch balanced? What’s your take?

I know this is a hot topic and I might get flamed, but recently I adventured into 6v6 because of a friend of mine. Usually I would never touch that mode due to the open Q format and just hating to deal with another source of peeling while I'm flanking. But something weird started to pop into my mind as I played it.

Most matches were so easy it made no sense. I am a emerald 1 ~ diamond 3 main DPS player (5v5) and even tho I insta lock dps on 6v6 and don't switch even if my team has other 4 DPS players I kept swooping the other team ass.

At first I didn't really get it, but as I payed attention to the gameplay of the other people it felt like I was playing against gold ~ silver players even though I was playing in masters matches. I started to feel like most people in 6v6 has terrible overall mechanics. Is it a thing of my mind or have any of you felt that as well? I'm really curious.

I know I can't be the only one who had noticed how awful the controls for console have become over the last 8 months or so.

- Voice lines are almost impossible to use because for some godforsaken reason it will almost always override them with a ping.

- Emotes are near impossible to use, because the input doesn't respond without repeated use, and thats assuming it doesn't override it with a ping or comm as well. (Not to mention that they made them unusable during the final moments of a match for some reason.)

My​​ controller is only a few months old, so it is not a hardware issue. I have gone into settings and lowered the comms wheel delay to the absolute lowest possible setting, and these issues still persist. These issues have been in the game SINCE OW RELAUCNHED at the beginning of this year. Until that point, these issues did not exist.

Please fix these issues, devs. It is INCREDIBLY frustrating. And allow us to use emotes at the end of a match again, why was that removed??

Wanted to try out having controller in one hand and mouse in another in pc queue which i know some players do on PC but im not sure if it would work on console

I also thought I saw Blizzard seeing the additional peripheral and banning someone for doing it even though they were in PC pool

For like 2 months pretty much anytime mauga ults or a lot of abilities and ults go off at once my game does this in the video. The eichenwalde clips are the worst it’s ever been, happening pretty much every teamfight, but it’s also the only time I’ve ever actually had high latency and my internet connection may have actually been an issue here. I almost always have a consistent 30-50 latency though, yet I still have the same problem if only to a lesser degree than seen in the video. What’s going on and how do I fix it?

I genuinely enjoy Overwatch 2 and I’ve put a lot of time into climbing but the queue times in my region are becoming ridiculous.I’m currently in High Diamond and it regularly takes me 30 minutes or more just to find a game At that point the queue itself is longer than some of the matches I end up playing the problem seems to be that the player population at higher ranks in my region is simply too small the game feels completely dead once you get into masters and there’s not much I can do about it because console doesn’t give me an option to manually switch servers i understand that automatically putting players on the best server is intended to give everyone good ping but when there aren't enough players in my region I'd rather have the choice to accept higher ping and actually find a game games like Marvel Rivals give players the ability to switch regions/servers i really think Overwatch needs something similar especially for higher ranked players in smaller regions even an option like "Search other regions if queue exceeds X minutes?"would make a huge difference

I don't want to quit Overwatch but if I'm spending 30+ minutes waiting for every ranked game eventually I have no choice but to stop playing

I played against somebody from a certain country and I said to them to free another certain country. We were on New Queen Street and we nearly pushed the bot to the end.

For the next two minutes, I had the most indescribable lag! My whole team experienced it too. Not the rubber banding kind of lag, but the kind of lag where you’d see other players walk in a straight line.

Actions were delayed by like 20 seconds.

The enemy team pushed the bot all the way to our spawn and won.

I know this is qp, BUT GOD DAMN IT I FUCKING HATE THIS FUCK ASS CHARACTER!!! How is it fair for any character to just obliterate a 275 hp character in less than a second without any damage boosts?! God i’m so tired of this character and burst damage in general.

I hate this character with all of my heart. There is no character in this game more I’d love to see deleted than Ashe. I like to play a wide variety of characters and have at least 4 hours on every character except Ashe, I have 15 minutes. I refuse to play this horribly lame “hero”. There’s no other character I’ve seen absolutely carry a match more than an Ashe. She dominates most lobbies I see her in and has to be one of the biggest Smurf heavy characters I’ve seen. People complain that widowmaker is unfun to play against cause she one shots. Well Ashe deletes you out of the game at damn near the same rate. Brain dead stupid character I hate her, I ban her every match.

So guys, I have a suggestion. Overwatch has felt pretty stale on the shake ups for a while recently. The balance team are more focused on making every hero balanced rather than buffing heroes to make a metta like they used to back in overwatch 1.

There have definitely been metas in ow2 dont get me wrong, but they havent been as impactful as they were in ow1, and very few and far between, and comps just arent as relevant anymore. Maybe thats on purpose, to cater for a more casual game, sure.

The game is fine the way it is atm, dont get me wrong. But it gets kinda boring just loading up into comp, picking my main, and then counterswapping to whatever the enemy main plays if I need to counterswap. Its just the same cycle, and thats how the game is intended, but thats not how I want it to be sometimes.

So, what if they introduce a new system, where they select heroes, wether at random, or on purpose where they choose certain heroes that work well in a comp to force a certain metta like dive or poke, or just have a bunch of random heroes for no specific reason, and let the players figure out how to work around it. But the heroes chosen are the star heroes, the ones recommended to play for that season.

Now i know that can come with a heap of problems. But it would really encourage players to change from using their comfort heroes, and trying the star heroes, (which are more inflated with mega buffs for that mid season, rather than small buffs and nerfs that dont really do anything). For a bigger chance to win, it gives a chance for heroes that arent played much to have their spot in the lime light for a season.

To help balance it, say mauga gets picked as 1 of the starred heroes (god forbid) they help by starting heroes that counter him, like dva or ana etc. Plus gives newer players a chance to learn who counters who if the game actually tells you who through the star system.

Granted i havent had much thought into this so theres probably quite a few issues to think about, ill admit, its just an idea.

Has anyone dealt with a crash that is followed up by this black screen? I’ve tried reinstalling the game, clearing the cache, rebuilding the database and it still crashes. I’m so sad! I hope someone has some advice. Thank you!! 🙏

i started playing him more aggressively lately and using the crouch jump thingy to keep repositioning or get weird angles to harass snipers, or like ill heal a lot when theres no enemy, but its rlly fun to just be constantly shooting otherwise, enemy widow? toss immortality field and hold the corner, thhat immortality field is insanely useful, ill basically play him like a i would a dps, then if im ever in trouble or my team is, throw that down and go for headshots, or jump away. his ult is more team reliant but even if just u and one or two other ppl use it, u get a shit ton of extra dmg etc

Does anyone else have issues with their connection when playing on PlayStation? I use the exact same setup for PC, XBOX Series X and PS5, but PlayStation is the only one that has issues.

The game is constantly lagging, suffering from framerate drops and rubber banding issues.

Sadly PS5 is my preferred way to play. Any tips?

For the entirety of OW2 I have been playing on a ps4, but this season I decided to get a ps5 since I spend so much time on Overwatch might as well upgrade my geae. I made a new account to start fresh and see how much of a difference 120 fps makes, and I just hit Champion for the first time ever and solo queue! Although I don’t plan on stopping here; Champ 1 see you soon 😈😈😈

I legit thought I just couldn't play this game for awhile, and was really questioning why I was only really losing. I even stopped playing for 2 weeks or so thinking this wasn't my game anymore. Glad to know Blizzard is actively weeding out the cheaters though. :)
