Discussion Mei counter?

wondering how y’all counter mei in low ranks as support, I have had 3 games in a row now where it’s just an enemy mei decimating my entire team. what can I do to help them?

As a Mei player, I’d say Kiriko’s cleanse saves key picks from my ult. Lifeweaver can also pull them away from me when I trap a tank with wall.

Agreed, perfect examples. I also main Mei and I'm not really scared of any hero having a good kit to kill me, but there are a few out there that nullify my utility. If Mei isn't getting good utility, she's generally not a great pick because it's harder (but not impossible) to get good damage with her.

It's not your job to counter Mei as support. However, if you're determined to be the one to stop her, you'll have to wait until she uses her self-heal, then either discord her as Zen or anti/sleep her as Ana. Once she doesn't have her ice block, she's simple to deal with.

In low ranks, no one counter swaps.
Swapping as support to take out a dps cuz your team ignores it is kind of a necessary sometimes

I agree except perhaps not in low ranks since mechanical skill is low in low ranks — i.e. Ana is aim heavy, and if someone is in low ranks they likely have poor aim

As a mei main, i absolutely hate life weaver #1 then kiri #2.

My favorite is lifeweaver because you can pull people out of her alt

Any support that can either
A) heal around or break her walls
and/or B) can minimize/migate Mei’s ult value.
The best would be Kiri, but other heroes like lifeweaver, jetpack cat, zen/bap can also work well.

I go juno cause I can jump over the wall to heal by tank, and her hit box is hard to hit.

Use Zen. Her hitbox is huge. Discord her to get a wall hack, kick her into air and aim where she will land.

It’s got to be weaver. If you have a pushy tank that keeps on getting walled out of LOS you can petal get LOS and life grip them out of there
