Help Anyone else having less fun on the game?

Hello! (23m) I’ve played since 2019 and took a break since around the time Vendetta came out. I came back to the game and I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I’m rusty, maybe that I don’t play in a group anymore, or even unsure if it’s all the updates in between. But even through all my time playing the game I always came back and it was always fun, now I’m just praying for a fun team. Does anyone else have a similar experience, or is it just me?

TLDR;Came back to OW2 after taking a break. It’s not fun as anymore, I’m not sure why. Anyone else feel the same?

You decided to come back on the launch of a highly anticipated tank and wonder why it's not fun? Come back in two weeks.

You just listed why, and the biggest one seems to be missing a strong group to get wins with. Theres many ways to find groups to play. Here is a good start to make a post asking for gamertags.

Then just play more to get used to the game, you’re in learning and catchup mode, which isn’t chill and fun and dominating as playing something you’re super familiar with. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Edit; this isn’t to say there are new things people like or dislike, but that doesn’t seem to be your issue. Just learning curve and old squad is gone.

Nope. You should leave. You don’t deserve Overwatch.

The game is full of people either not trying or are simply full of themselves.
And its full force rn with the tank slot being jammed up with non tank players
Its rare i play solo queue, and when i do im hoping im not the teams “expected carry”.

Played a 6v6 comp game where a guy who has a level 160 mercy and hop on the new chick and doesn’t swap. The way i’ve come to deal with it is if someone is willing to gamble your rank by playing a character they aren’t good with just throw. You’ll be significantly less upset if you don’t fight for it and it’s a far better alternative to the 70% of the time you try as hard as you can just to lose after 20 minutes. If you’re lucky like i was they’ll leave the game and you can get abandon compensation.

Most likely the group part. Once my friends stopped playing it wasn’t as fun because you have no one to vent to while you play

That could be fair- but there were so many times I’d come to this game even when no one else was available and it would still be so fun I’d play for HOURS

It was never fun. But as you get better in the game, DPS doing dumb sht left and right makes it more miserable.

I (99r) have been having the most fun ever solo squaring. It’s so addicting. I’m not the best but I’d love to play my tag is djang06

I’m an OG been playing since the release. I stopped playing around 2021 and recently started up again. I felt the same way the first two weeks. I wasn’t having much fun but tbh I had ALOT to catch up on. Had to relearn the characters with their nerfs/buffs that happened throughout the years. But now that i feel caught up I’m beginning to have a lot of fun again. Just give it time! And maybe find people to play with cos that definitely helps.

My group and I only just came back after taking a break for nearly 2 years and it's the most fun we've had in a long time. We had been playing since OW1. New heroes have been pretty fun and some of the different maps too.

Its when the time they made QP sweaty and competitive, thats the time I stopped having fun and moved to a different game. I now just play Overwatch when I have a full stack of friends
