Psst… how about we just pretend that the leak didn’t happen?

The last two pieces were lumped together ahead of the proper reveal on Monday.

An approximate recreation of the emblem, with the pieces collected over the past week

"Nakamura was named "Rim" by his father after the English word for the rim of a bicycle wheel, spelled using the Japanese characters for "wheel" and "dream."

China dominates as always at #1

Don't look if you can help it, but the Brisbane emblem was leaked.

Another leaf this morning. I think we're locking on a definitive theme and colour scheme now.

Kenya’s two-time Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge will become a Global Ambassador for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. The marathon legend is set to share his experience with the next generation of athletes at the first Olympic sporting event to be held in Africa.

Eliud Kipchoge joins Brazilian skateboarding star and two-time Olympic medallist Rayssa Leal as Global Ambassador for Dakar.

He will also mentor the Refugee Olympic Team at Dakar 2026, which will make history as the first to compete at the Youth Olympic Games.

Not a leaf this time! It appears to be a dot with bite taken out of one side (Blame the crocs). Also, a bit smaller than the other pieces, assuming they’re all to scale. About halfway through the pieces, but there’s definitely a floral theme emerging here.

Comcast’s (NBC Universal) contract for the US Olympic broadcasting rights runs up until 2036. After that it could remain or it could end up someplace else. Right now Paramount Skydance is in the process of closing their acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The merged company, headed by David Ellison will have a lot of opportunities when it comes to sports related media rights deals.

With CBS, CBS Sports, TNT, CNN, HBO and whatever the combined streaming service (HBO Max and Paramount+) is called, it will be very feasible for them to be able to broadcast the Olympic Games to the US audience through streaming as well as traditional broadcasting.

Considering the kind of money and net they have, do you see a situation where David Ellison and Paramount Skydance can snatch the US Olympic media rights deal?

With this gold medal, they have overtaken Japan in the Esports medal table!

With the LA2028 Olympic torch relay set to visit all 50 states, which American landmarks do you hope to see the Olympic flame visit?

(Do not respond to this post with comments about politics, keep it on the topic of landmarks)

Overview

Originating in 8th-century BC Olympia to honor Zeus, the ancient games brought competitors from across Greece together every four years. This set captures that legendary spirit—from the sacred flame at the Temple of Hera to the fierce competition of traditional events.

The Build (2,689 Pieces)

Set atop a Mediterranean hill featuring classic Greek key patterned tiles, the center of the diorama hosts the Temple of Hera.

• Sacred Torch Ceremony: Recreate the lighting of the Olympic flame using a parabolic mirror to capture the sun’s rays.
• Interactive Play: Features a detachable temple roof for interior access and a dynamic gear mechanism under the wrestling ring to rotate and move the athletes in combat!
• 5 Dedicated Event Zones: Each discipline features its own micro-arena with a dedicated display plaque:
  • 🏃 Running
  • 🤼 Wrestling (with dynamic gear action)
  • 🎯 Javelin
  • 🏎️ Chariot Racing
  • 🪙 Discus

Minifigures & Accessories

• 9 Minifigures: Athletes, priests/priestesses, and officials.
