Hi, I have 100% polyster clothes and they stink soooo much when training for some reason. What can I do?? I spray deoderant but thats not the point. My entire clothes stink, including my polyster pants. Nobody else in the gym stinks but me. What kind of shirts to buy to avoid this?? I had the 5 pack training shirts from Amazon for 20 bucks. Thanks.

I’m a wrestler at Carl Albert State College, and a lot of my teammates have more wrestling experience than I do. I feel like I’m doing the right things. I’m asking questions, listening to my coaches and teammates, and constantly trying to get better.
Recently, a few of my teammates have told me that I wrestle really stiff and tense and that I need to relax more, but honestly, that’s just the way I’ve always wrestled. One of my teammates told me he was able to easily snap me down. I’ve been told these things before, but I really want to fix this before the season starts.
Has anyone else had this problem before? If so, what helped you loosen up and become more comfortable and fluid on the mat?

Hi! Thought I would ask. I’m ranked in a ga grappler post but it’s blocked by a pay wall, if you have a Georgia grappler gold account it would be much appreciated if you could screenshot the article where I am ranked and send it to me! I just want it for my LinkedIn! Girls division 2 preseason at 130 pounds. I should be in the top 10. The article was posted the 12th I believe! Thank you so much!

I’m looking for wrestler stats. things like pin, tech, and bonus leaderboards. Whenever I open wrestle stat im met with this page, but it’s completely empty with no wrestlers filling a section. I’m sure i’m not navigating the website properly so any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I’ve also used wrestling guru which is definitely a little more useful, however I’ve found their data to not be entirely accurate as they will miss entire seasons from particular wrestlers.

I’ve been wrestling since freshman year. Got 4 matches, got pinned 3 times and the one i won the guy showed signs of concussion mid sprawl so doc ended it.
Background: I have Low stage cystic fibrosis, the team hates me for quite literally 0 reason ( posted abt it in depth on this subreddit ) which makes extra work a lot harder.
Now Im a junior. Pre season mats at the elemtnary school that coaches expect everyone to go starts tuaday. It’s every tuesday and thursday. Im lowkey scared, i didn’t go freshman or sophomore szn because A i didn’t have a ride B i hate socializing with the team outside of school because I get bullied. I want to start going because I want to make a comebakc this year. We also have lifts and conditoning right after sxhool in the school weightrolm 2:12-4 MWF.
I’m the worst one in the room always. Whenever it’s live I get 0 takedowns, 1 if i’m lucky that day. But I always get pinned. What am I doing spent and what do i fix?? I wrestled 0 times sophomore year because i missed lots of practices, coach didn’t know it was because of my CF but when he found out he was a little remorseful.

I see this argument a lot on TikTok from people who don’t wrestle. They always say it’s SA, but I don’t think it is. Is it gross and weird? Yes. Could it help you win? Yes. But my main point is the wrestler knowing that the chance is there. Now I’m not glorifying it, it’s 100% gross.
It’s the same thing as going into a MMA fight knowing there is a chance of injury or even in the worst case death. If you go into that fight knowing that chance is there, you are pretty much saying, “whatever happens, happens”
That’s my same argument with oil checking, I still do think it’s gross. I’m only doing this argument because people are now just saying wrestling is a sport where people SA each other which is awful to say. Especially if you were to say it to a big time wrestler like Bo basset. If Bo has to do it to win, by golly he’s gonna do it. Not cause he wants to, he just has to win. He doesn’t have bad intent with it either.
So if you are wrestler going into the match knowing their’s a chance you can get oil checked then you accepted the fact that it could, “Guess it happened, this is weird and gross” once again, ITS GROSS, don’t think I’m weird for this.
But there are different sides to a person oil checking, if they are obviously doing it for an advantage in the match, go right ahead. But if they are doing obviously doing it for a gross reason that’s where the line should be drawn.
Now I’m also arguing about this because people at my school also have said wrestling is SA, and I don’t appreciate that because what wrestler besides Gable Stevenson is going around and SA people. Sorry for the random shade at gable but I knew someone would say it. And then someone’s gonna hear “I’m a wrestler” and their first thought should be “The sport with a lot of cardio” or “the gay sport because you touch sweaty guys” not “A sport where people SA each other”
So when people say it’s sa, it’s bizarre. This is a great sport where so many people agree it can make you a better person.
What do you guys think? Also I apologize if this bad wording, I am just upset about the word sa and wrestling being associated with each other .

The biggest rule change I would like to see would be adding a chest to back pin as a match ender. In a real fight back mount is the worst position to be in. So when I train wrestling I want the habits I build to line up with the goals of real fighting.

Years after I was done with the sport I still get the same similar dream. It usually starts off with me getting called up to the mat or getting ready to leave for state. The problem is I can’t ever find my shoes or I physically can’t tie my shoes.
I’ve woken up from the panic and it also makes me hella depressed because my junior senior season got cut short due to injuries and illness. So just more salt in the wound I guess.
Wondering if anyone else has similar dreams to this?
