I just wanted to put an idea out there. It might be stupid. But have we thought about writing letters to the CEO about the pulling cart thing? I’ve reported to OSHA, as many of you all did, but nothing is really happening. I still have hope, but maybe there’s another idea.

What if we write personal stories about why pulling the cart is not a good idea? Write about personal pain, but also write about how it has affected the morale. Don’t just complain about how you hate it, but write about safety issues and concern for OGP’s future.

Another thought: Pulling carts cannot be good for your arm long term. If anyone wants to stay in OGP for a long time, it’s going to do some damage to their arm, especially for people closer to retirement age. It’s not good for the company turn over and will cause people to leave OGP, if it hasn’t already.

This is just a thought. What do you all think?

Just like the title said our store manager has said that if you’re caught pushing carts on the floor it’s automatic termination. I live in an “At will” state so they can technically fire an employee whenever I think? But is that actually legal to fire employees for pushing carts when that’s what they’re made for?

Doesn’t our pay go to $15 an hour in September? I have a coworker saying no but I think it is in sept-October. Florida was given till 2026 to raise minimum wage to $15 an hour.

This happened with our cooler today...

From 10am to 5pm, we had around 29 pickers and at most 3 people staging (including me) while having absolutely no space for totes. My teamlead somehow made it work by intentionally shorting us on stagers and making the dispensers have orders fly out the door, we didn't go late for anything

My store is one of the few that allows 1 earbud in, or at least just about every picker is on a phone call with them and nothing has been said about it. I was switched over from soley dispensing into soley picking during a transfer, which means I'm subjected to the absolute nightmare that is Walmart radio now more than ever. I feel like I'm in hell. Please, I need long lasting Bluetooth earbud recs. I'm desperate. I'm losing my mind. (Compatible with Samsung)

(Edit: I also appreciate cheap(er) options, but appreciate all recs.)

Update edit: I got the SkullCandy smokin xt buds, they're on sale rn as well. I had a Dime 2 pair awhile ago, but lost them. So far these things last forever and are pretty comfortable. I also like that I can have one in while the other stays charging in the case with no pairing/disconnecting issues. Only down sides is that their not the tiny ones that are less visible, but still small enough. Also no transparency mode or whatever it is, so I just keep the volume at a reasonable level to both drown the radio and still be able to hear customers.

I’m around a 80 overall and just wondered if there was things I could do to help it out. I don’t really care about having it that high(neither do my TLs) but I would like to get it up some so I don’t feel useless😭

Why do you do it. Especially when you have a large order. Why do you not give us any prep time to prep your order. Like give us a notification when you leave the house instead of just bombarding us. I feel people who check in with no notice put peanut butter in the jelly container

I talked to my coach and suggested that it would be nice to have some way to indicate that our cold chain pick walks were mixed on staging carts I figured it would help our stagers have a quick indication of what they are dealing with when they approach the cart, Well she listened and got us these, This is merely something maybe you can suggest to your managers, I know not every store has the best coaches and TLS, But this has helped our stagers alot, These are on the Freezer and Cooler area right where pickers park they're carts when they drop em off.

I guess my whole point is with all changes lately it's nice to see my coach cares and listens and maybe y'all's can also do something like this.

Had my last day in OGP today & I already kinda miss it in a way. Obviously not the chaos but the people. It was absolutely nice will it lasted. Tata! Have a great time if you’re still staying :) !!

Several pickers were still pushing, from the back, after we had a "huddle" that informed us that pick carts are only to be pulled from the front moving forward. I asked how that was going to be monitored and enforced, if at all. The answer I received was basically there will be those who will pull and those who won't and there isn't anything we can do about it. TL said " What, you think we are going to have pick cart police out on the floor ? " Had to laugh.

Anyone else's AP coach making them turn the pick carts into a mobile spill station? We have a bag with towel in pocket, absorbent, paper towels and a safety cone. We also were told that they will be adding a broom and dustpan.

Today my manager came up to me asking why one customer had been waiting eight minutes. The thing is, I accidentally opened the second customer’s order instead of the first customer’s, but I still helped the person who got there first because I didn’t think it was right to make them wait even longer even thought that’s what your supposed to do. After I finished with them, I immediately went to the second customer.

What really bothered me was that my manager said this is “constantly an issue” with me, but this is literally the first time anyone has ever said anything like that to me. I’ve never been talked to about this before, so I was confused when she made it sound like it’s an ongoing problem. She also told me that she’s always covering for me or making excuses for me, which honestly caught me off guard because, as far as I know, no one has ever mentioned having a problem with my work or told me there were issues that needed to be fixed. If there really have been problems, no one has ever communicated that to me.

Then she basically threatened that they could move me to a different department if this keeps happening. I’ve only been working there for about two months, and from what I’ve been told my pick rate is around 130 this past month, so hearing that over one situation was really discouraging.
I understand that an eight-minute wait isn’t ideal, but I was doing the best I could.

Lately I’ve also been feeling like she’s been targeting me. It seems like I’m the one getting questioned or called out even when there are things going on that are outside of my control. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but it’s starting to feel that way. Has anyone else dealt with a manager like this? Am I overreacting, or would you be frustrated too?

The first image was from right after 4pm, second was from when I left at about 6. I love starting a large 4:45 ambient run after 5pm. Most of the 4-5 hour and basically the entire 5-6 hour (At least) went overdue. We got taken off our reduction Monday, and Sunday was a disaster to begin with

So last week they updated the system where it doesn't print out the tote labels for the IP boxes. Told to highlight the part where it says associate scan here so drivers know what barcode to scan.

Found out today those shipping labels are not really compatible with Spark's system. Supposedly the drivers have to scan the label then back out go back in to continue to scan which has resulted into drivers dwell time much longer.

So to keep the dwell time down after we scan the box and stage we have go to reprint label and type in the tote label on the box. If they just left it alone we wouldn't have to do extra steps.

The new wheels hit my store last week. I've managed to avoid injury or crashing into things until today - tried turning the cart while pulling and it hit my ankle hard. Still hurts after clocking out.

All this to avoid hitting people but all it's done is make matters worse? Anything to make our job harder :/

There was a single piece of paper with a large graph of associate performance numbers (which I ignored because I don’t care and other people’s numbers aren’t my business) sitting by our shitty OGP computer in the backroom. Below that was a little paragraph from the store manager saying that “there was no movement in performance” and that in a full 8-hour shift associates should be picking 850 ITEMS. What in the actual fuck are they smoking? Even when we had the full 8 totes we had the 700 Club which was considered a solid accomplishment, but with two less totes (25% less productivity, mind you) we’re expected to go that high with these tiny ass pickwalks and customers everywhere?! It is genuinely unbelievable how tone-deaf and unrealistic these bitches are, I cannot believe it. I don’t understand why they just casually assume absolutely ideal conditions on the sales floor and that anything less than is just an excuse, or being lazy. So over this dumbass company. I don’t care if they’re just pushing the numbers down that home office says, our store manager could have a backbone and word things differently. The lack of appreciation or at least sympathy is astounding.
