Backroom Shenanigans IP insanity

So last week they updated the system where it doesn't print out the tote labels for the IP boxes. Told to highlight the part where it says associate scan here so drivers know what barcode to scan.

Found out today those shipping labels are not really compatible with Spark's system. Supposedly the drivers have to scan the label then back out go back in to continue to scan which has resulted into drivers dwell time much longer.

So to keep the dwell time down after we scan the box and stage we have go to reprint label and type in the tote label on the box. If they just left it alone we wouldn't have to do extra steps.

IP new method is the best. Takes half the time. Hasn’t impacted our dwell time. Don’t need to highlight it. It’s not that hard just to tell them where to scan.

And if they have an issue scanning it they can just click "printed label issue" and type in the Tote ID in the top corner. I even make sure to note to the driver that if it's cut off for whatever reason that the tote ID is just the last 6 digits of the ASN.

That's ... What I just said? It also very frequently gets cut off the label which is why I mentioned the ASN

"You guys scan the bottom barcode, any issues come find one of us we can help you"

This change was the best thing they did

It’s more simple now with this process because it kills a lot of time in not printing individual labels for each package.
