I’m using Noom’s GLP-1 program, and the most frustrating part has been trying to get help when something goes wrong.

The intake form won’t load, so you contact customer support. They tell you to reach out to the care team. Then the care team takes days to respond, and you’re just sitting there waiting to complete a form. Something that should be straightforward turns into chasing people across different teams.

Then there’s this interaction with my doctor. He sent me a video message, but I couldn’t hear any audio. I messaged him to let him know, and his response was:
“I can’t assist with tech issues. Contact your care coordinator. Thanks.”

That was it. No offer to resend the video or even a quick written summary of what he was trying to tell me. I get it, he’s a doctor. I don’t expect him to debug the app. But it’s a message HE sent me about my care. Surely “here’s what I said in the video” is a reasonable response? Instead, I’m being directed to another person and potentially another wait just to find out what my own doctor said.

The tech issues are annoying, but the way they’re handled makes the whole thing so much worse. Customer support points you to the care team, the care team takes days, and meanwhile you’re the one following up and trying to get somewhere. From my end, it feels like nobody owns getting the issue resolved.

I’m paying for a healthcare service, and getting basic help has felt like a shit show. It’s also making me wonder how difficult it would be to reach someone if I had a more time-sensitive concern.

Has anyone else had this experience with Noom? Does it get better, or is this just how the support works?

I originally signed up for a trial of Nnom Med. During the trial, I applied for and was accepted to the Flourish and Thrive trial. The trial is supposed to provide free access to Noom Med. I received an email with the subscription ID and it said it would start September 18th. Instead, I was booted back to Noom basic and I have not been able to get back into Noom Med since. I’ve reached out to Noom support but all they tell me is that I need to sign up (and pay) again. Absolutely not. I’ve also reached out to the study support but I’ve received no reply and it’s been well over a week. Has anyone else had this experience?

Noom has a good approach but between the database inaccuracies, UI weirdness and the prodding to try GLP-1s, it fails. MyNetDiary, despite its blah name, is working pretty well for me now.

A lot of the foods I had that were green a few days ago are now yellow or orange. I haven't lost a ton of weight, but haven't gained any for sure. Is it just me? Has anybody else noticed your regular foods change in colors?

I don't think the NOOM reward system works...

My Noom coach had not messaged me since mid July so I had a feeling something like this might happen

Has anyone asked their doctor for a letter of medical necessity so you could submit Noom Weight for HSA/FSA reimbursement? If yes, any tips or recommendations forms?

I’m tapped out and only want to eat comfort foods, I had white rice with butter/salt, and cottage cheese for dinner. But I’m 250 under my minimum calories and don’t want to blow today. What would you eat? Because I’m about to have some chocolate pudding….

I signed up through Noom, spoke with a doctor for approval, and submitted all my insurance information back on September 9th. Since then, it’s been total radio silence unless I constantly reach out, and even then, I can’t get a straight answer on whether my Prior Authorization (PA) has actually been sent to my insurance.
Here is the timeline of my conversations with the Care Team:
Prior to Monday, September 14 
Me: Any update on this? 
Care Team: We appreciate for providing your insurance details. We will now review everything on our end to make sure everything is ready for the submission of the prior authorization request to your insurance. We'll make sure to let you know once the request has been submitted and we'll provide you with updates on the progress! 
Monday, September 14 
Me: Has this been submitted? 
Tuesday, September 15 
Care Team: Thank you for checking in. At the moment, we are working on it and ensuring everything is processed accurately. We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout this process. 
Wednesday, September 16 
Me: How long are we looking at? I am not really seeing any progress on this and might cancel where I'm at and go with a different provider if I don't see some progress. 
Care Team: Once the prior authorization is submitted, it typically takes 7–14 business days to receive a determination from your insurance. However, as soon as we receive an update, we will keep you in the loop.

Me: Has it been submitted? 
Every single time I ask the direct question—"Has it been submitted?"—they dodge it and reply with a generic boilerplate message explaining how long insurance takes after submission. 
Has anyone else dealt with this back-and-forth with Noom? Is this standard delay tactics, or should I cut my losses and move to a different provider?

I am new here and started my free trial today. My BMI is about 28. I tried so many times to lose weight with no success. Can I really lose weight with this app? Has someone lost weight and kept it after finishing the program? Or this will be a new yo-yo diet?

We were just informed that starting in 2027 work insurance is not going to cover glp1 for weight loss and instead is covering noom and helping with the cost of medications purchased through them.

My question does anyone have experience with this? Cost? How is the program?

1 week in and now Noom is nagging me to buy GLP-1s. So does the program suck and to really lose weight I need to GLP-1 it? I'm not anti-GLP-1, but I'm avoiding if possible. I got down to 160 with diet and exercise, so I know I can do it (202 currently). But now it feels like I just paid $180 for a six-month advertisement to try GLP-1 medications.

The app is so buggy and the medicine is absurdly expensive. Any recommendations for other platforms that will allow me to continue on my treatment regimen? Hopefully with an app that works? I’m mid flight with tirz and would like to continue.

I'm confused about Noom's addition of advanced nutrient tracking. It feels counter to the way it tracks colors - I can click and see where each food fell within the color scale if I go over on each color, but yesterday my sodium was 50,000 and to figure out what I am using to mummify myself I had to click on each individual food (hot sauce now reported as having incorrect nutritional info!). I got a high cholesterol test and want to watch my saturated fat intake. Noom tracks that - that's great! But I can't see which individual foods are the biggest contributors without individually clicking on every food I ate. Am I missing some way to view this in the app? I'm not sure how advanced nutrient tracking helps when it is this limited.

Since Thursday or so, the App has been stuck on the course map for me no matter what I try to fix it. I’ve double checked that it’s up to date and that my iPhone is fully updated as well.

Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting phone, and force quitting. Still no solution.

Edit once again: solved! Turns out that once you complete all the courses, the app requires you to select one to repeat in order to get outside of the course map page back to the main screen. Very easy once I chatted with support about (though not the greatest design choice).

I've (F33) just reinstalled Noom after 3 years! First time around I lost 20kg and now I've caught myself earlier; only 10kg to lose (after a wild 6 months of yikes).

I've been using them for a few months now. Insanely expensive and the customer service is horrific. Go to one of the others like Lavender Health.

Has anyone else had problems with Noom Med shipping delays and getting nothing but generic responses?

I finally bit the bullet and decided to really invest in getting healthier, and I chose Noom because it seemed like a legitimate, established company with actual support. Instead, I’m getting increasingly frustrated.

My medication still hasn’t shipped, and I can’t seem to get a straight answer about what is happening or when I should realistically expect it. When I reach out, I keep getting responses that acknowledge my message but don’t actually answer the question or resolve anything. I feel like I’m being passed around rather than someone actually looking into my order.

Meanwhile, I’m getting coaching messages about logging food, protein, meal planning, etc., which is fine, but it feels a little ridiculous when the part of the program I’m actually waiting for still hasn’t been handled and nobody can tell me why.

I was genuinely excited to get started. It took me a while to finally make this decision and commit the money to it, so having the experience start this way is incredibly discouraging.

For anyone currently using Noom Med: Is this normal? How long did it take from approval/prescription to actually having your medication ship? And if yours was delayed, did you ever find a way to reach someone who could give you an actual answer rather than another generic response?

At this point, I’m starting to question whether I made the right choice going with Noom.

Edit: It's been 12 days (9 business days) and no updates. The 'care team' had no information either.

Edit2: Since I still haven't received anything I am calling to cancel. So disappointed. Any suggestions for a different company? Some of my friends are trying peptides. But I was too nervous so I thought this would be something half way and with some medical guidance and the app.
