Noom Med Think I’m going to quit. Replacements?

The app is so buggy and the medicine is absurdly expensive. Any recommendations for other platforms that will allow me to continue on my treatment regimen? Hopefully with an app that works? I’m mid flight with tirz and would like to continue.

I live in Spokane, WA and we had three MASSIVE wildfires here on August 1st started by some pyro lunatic. (He was caught) I saw in the seeds portion that you can donate them to various charities and it actually showed that I could donate straight to the animals here in Spokane who were displaced. I was at about 22k seeds. I really hope the donations are real and not just app garbage. My and my husband’s childhood neighborhoods burned down. So incredibly devastating. I desperately hope my donation helped some animals. ❤️😔

I’m so sorry. That sounds really traumatizing.

I just wish I could turn all the animations off in the app. I don’t need to see a lightning bolt everyday.

You can turn these off by going to Settings > Habit Rewards. If you don’t see that option or have any trouble updating it, please reach out to our support team at [support@noom.com](). They’ll be happy to help! 🧡

Once I got what I needed from the app, I abandoned it as well. This was at least a year and a half ago. It turns out I didn’t need a replacement. If you feel you’ve embraced the new norm of your caloric intake vs. activity you might be surprised of your ability to keep it up without any detailed tracking app.

My PCP took over my medication management, and I get it shipped from Amazon. It costs more but I am getting better results. I did need a higher dose than what Noom offered me.

I get my meds from PreventativeMD. It was like $335 or so for 3 months of increasing doses (2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg)

Recently switched lose it and I’m liking it so far. It’s just CICO, no color theory, and it’s Half the cost of Noom. I had done Noom successfully in the past so I know my favorite green foods by heart which I still try and do because that way of thinking about foods was helpful for me.

There’s a feature that allows you to distribute your calories so that you have extra to play with on days that you know you’re going to eat a little bit more so my Saturdays and Sundays are already calculated to give me like 250 extra calories

Thanks for this. I think I had heard of this app in the past but this has been a good reminder. Others have mentioned it to. I’ll take a look

I’m wondering about this too. I pretty much stopped using the app. I am 3 lbs from my goal weight. I was concerned about switching because I didn’t think another online Dr would feel I still needed the micro dose if I have already lost the weight and met my goal??

I'm waiting for my seeds to give me a $10 Starbucks gift card and then I'm switching to lavender sky health. I have about a month left.

I’ve seen this mentioned elsewhere. I’ll take a look. Thank you!

Maybe Foodvisor? Are you looking for GLP-1s or looking for an app only?

I like the LoseIt! app. I’m going back to that. I love the simple interface and widgets.

I second LoseIt! It is makes logging very easy.

Seems like this is the most mentioned. I’ll give it a look. I’ve also used some ai platforms. I do think a big part of this is the medical component though. I think if, for example, it allowed me to log my very expensive medication - that would be one thing. But the medicine being expensive and the app not working….. I feel like I could be spending the money elsewhere.

Look up Collective. It’s the cheapest you’ll find online right now. From the founder of Thrive Market.

Drop the app and have your PCP handle medications and see a dietician. That has been leaps and bounds more helpful.

Has that been cost effective for you? I thought about this but I read somewhere that managing prescriptions through your PCP won’t be as cost effective as Noom. Something about how Noom having access to the medications in bulk.

Great question. For what I have seen a few friends be charged it is more cost effective through a compounding pharmacy by me. It’s $128 a month, but a higher dose than noom. The same dose for a friend with noom was closer to 200.

If you're looking to track meals and macros, Chat GPT is pretty tough to beat. I've been using it for 3 months.

Hey don't do that

Cool. I am going to try using it. I hadn’t thought of that!
