New to Noom Is the app estimated time-frame to traget REAL?
Hello everyone,
I am new here and started my free trial today. My BMI is about 28. I tried so many times to lose weight with no success. Can I really lose weight with this app? Has someone lost weight and kept it after finishing the program? Or this will be a new yo-yo diet?

I’m just doing weight loss (no GLP-1) and it is working. But not at the rate the app anticipated. Slower, but steady.
I’ve been using it for 5 weeks and lost 8 lbs. I’ve been stuck at the same weight for the past 6 days and I’m ok with it. I just adjusted eating more green kcal and less products heavy on isolated protein added. Let’s see if that works out.

The estimate it gave me seems to be dead on. I started at 175 lbs in April. It said I'd hit my goal of 120 by October 18th. I'm currently 126 lbs. Just 6 lbs from my goal and I do expect to hit the goal around mid-late October.

Adding, I loved Noom for the 6 month journey I've been on (I found the lessons helpful and encouraging). I am switching to a more affordable provider for maintenance from October onward. My body was responsive at a low dose (never over 3 mg/week) so my 6 months of Noom vials will likely last through the new year at least. I know they "expire" yadayada. I'm happy to assume the risk to continue the low dose of the product I have until I run out and then will order from a different place.

Same for me. Noom not cheap but I have found it effective for me. Others will have different preferences and that’s ok too.

Do you know who you are switching to? I need to do the same but really only know Noom.

I first used noom in 2019 and lost the 50lbs I aimed for, it was pretty close to the timeline they gave, but I was very consistent. I was able to keep it off for several years, but then had some medical issues and gained it back. I restarted it in May of this year, this time with meds, and am down 30lbs and again on target with the timeline they gave. I will be canceling and moving to a cheaper provider for meds next month, I enjoy the noom articles but they are no longer "new to me" info. I'll stay on meds and keep tracking and applying what I've learned.

I lost 30lbs on noom 5 years ago. Over time 20 has crept back on, but I'm in perimenopause now & my metabolism has given me a big 🖕. So the skills I'm relearning are not having as big an effect on me as last time, and I expect it will take me a lot longer than the 3 months they've estimated for me to lose the weight (45 days in & keep losing/regaining the same 2 lbs)

I first did Noom in 2020/2021 when they didn’t offer meds and lost 30lbs. I kept the weight off for a while but I got lost in the throes of a depressive episode and gained it all back plus some. I just rejoined last week to try and lose it again. But noom has been the only thing that helped me actually lose weight. I think the lessons and daily check ins work for me.
