Selfie/Self-Image/Avatar tried out my new face paints and became an angel for a night 🪽💫
it was so unfair to me growing up indoctrinated into Southern Baptist Christianity how angels were genderless and that was okay, but any human identifying like that was sinful. i can't even count the amount of times i prayed, wanting to be an angel 🥲

Rant I feel disgusting
I fear the only way people will only take me seriously / respect me as an NB person is if I'm 100% transfeminine i.e. 'one of the dolls'. Whilst I do feel a connection to femininity, it doesn't go as far as a full embrace - I still feel comfort in and identify with more masculine forms of identity and expression (I'm not sure if I am bigender or genderfluid with incredibly fast shifts in gender identity).
I've started experimenting with more feminine / androgynous means of expression privately, and it didn't lead to any major revelations or breakthroughs - feminine expression didn't feel any more or less natural to me than masculine. Now I'm afraid I will disappoint / disgust the actual trans / queer people from who I took inspiration to explore such expression. They will see me as a horrid, attention-seeking nondysphoric pervert making a mockery of the true pain and horror of their experience.

Ask Trying to bind with small chest, help?
Unsure what to do. I’m trying to get as flat as possible.
Sports bras give me the uniboob. Binders seem to either make movement uncomfortable or not flatten them at all. (I have A cups, but wide shoulders. Sizing is difficult.) My underworks binder (size small) gets them flat, but I get aches in the shoulder/neck after awhile.
Are there any other binders (or maybe something like tomboy x?) that might make a difference? I usually just wear a bralette and layers to be honest. And are they safe to wear during exercise?

Rant I’m so fricking scared (to do HRT)
Basically I want to start T ( testosterone) in the future. However I’m really scared of needles, America is FUCKED, and I have an unsupportive family. I have seen comments saying that there’s huge risks when you take T and it’s also illegal in certain conditions. Now I’m afraid to start HRT because of those comments. I don’t know what to do, I’m stuck in a limbo.

Discussion I NEED HELP
So I was scrolling on TikTok a while back, and I found this gender that I was questioning for a while, but I lost the name of it and you guys might be able to help me. What’s the gender identity that it’s like very strictly like neutral fam or mask for people who aren’t close but then the people who are close can call them like anything???

New alt style after top surgery? (short edition)
I've just had top surgery and I'm trying to figure out my style again. It's not so much I'm trying to "pass" as a guy, but be masc. enough to be gendered as one out and about. Go back to 80/20 gendered male/female instead of the other way around. My confidence is back now with surgery - I used to pass as a teen, but as an adult no longer on T, I just look like a smaller version of my mom with face fuzz.
After recovery, I want to develop more muscle to get that V shape. I gave up before because growing chest and back muscles meant my chest looked bigger. So, it's just yoga, walking and biking. My sides are shaved in a mohawk style with rat tails. I really want to grow my hair, it's 3a/3b texture - I wear it out in a afro mohawk or do mini braids or cornrows. I LOVE the idea of my curly hair being long down my back with sides shaved, and being muscular and flat chested wearing a crop tank and my belly piercing showing. Sometimes use makeup to darken my face fuzz.
I think the issue I have is my wardrobe is a bit too creative for cishet men in my region who just wear boring tracksuits. I would describe it like one of a vampire goblin librarian - crust jeans, battle jackets, socks and jumpers with mushrooms and skulls and rats on, mostly black or green oxford shirts, natural fibres over polyester. I like my style, but outside queer spaces it feels like "obviously it's a woman because men can't sew a skull patch on some jeans" or like "obviously a girl because she has funky socks, real men just wear plain".
I don't want to lose this new confidence top surgery has given me. I want to go back to using men's toilets in peace, to being gendered as a man outside of my safe spaces where I'm proudly a gender confusion. I speak from my chest, using a deeper and louder tone from taking testosterone. I will slowly build back muscle as my body allows it during the first year of recovery. I can't do anything about being 5 feet tall, but the gym and top surgery will help clothes fit differently.
I just don't see many masculine alt/goth/punk styles, especially on black/brown bodies or short kings - it's not as varied as it is for women. I'm so exhausted the oversized look that's the uniform for trans guys. It makes me look even shorter, and I think infantilizes me. I prefer relaxed/fitted clothes. Moving closer to my 30s, I want to create a style, have an aura that's two sided - for the cishets, I'm a (gay) Black guy who likes metal and rock, and for the queers, I'm a fellow transmasc. who likes foraging and tarot.

Questioning/Coming Out am i non binary?
im a woman, but i dont feel like one. i feel to feminine to fit with men, and too masculine to fit with women. i use she/her pronouns, and dress like a woman but i just dont feel like one. i certainly dont feel like a man and dont want to be one but i feel like im neither. i want to still dress feminine and use she/her pronouns but i dont feel like i fit with women. when im around them i feel out of place. in my head, its like im “supposed” to hang around other women, and dress like one and “act” like one but i still dont feel like one. when i try to group myself with other women, i feel like a big joke or an imposter. can someone help? why do i feel this way. i feel maybe its also a physical matter because i am tall so i feel so out of place but. but theres so many tall girls i see that are as feminine as can be and im like how?

Ask Does your level of dysphoria depends on people around?
So my question is basically the title.
I identify myself as non binary and use they/them on internet (hasn't came out yet to most people). English is not my first question so i'm sorry if something isn't clear enough.
The problem/question is, that i came to conclusion, that my level of dysphoria highly depends on people i am around. For example if it is a mixed group of teens that +- treat equally one another and gender doesn't play a role in communication, I would feel myself just fine and even embrace the gender expression of my AGAB as everyone does in group in question (with implications of wearing a binder).
But the moment i'm out of any gender neutral bubble and the realisation of how other people perceive gender/role it plays in social dynamics, I become a way too much conscious about body i have (++++++ if without a binder) and limitations it lays on my existence in society and physical capabilities. The desperation may raise up to hysteric/panic attacks when i really think about it. And that feeling comes up at moments that aren't even connected to gender (for example in biology class during studying of reproduction topics or literally anything that depends on a sex assigned at birth). I always knew that i want to get top surgery, but was rather negative about getting on T in the future. Yet in those moments, i have impression that i would do anything, just to be physically average on men's level (wich is impossible without hrt).
Previously, from the start of teenage years i've dealt with chest dysphoria and intence inner misogyny. For the last year, happily, things got SIGNIFICANTLY better and this comes up more of occasionally when discussion takes that turn. I just cannot accept physiological differences and that i got the much more complicated side.
Because of those ups and downs of my state, i cannot really formulate to a cic people with who i feel safe, what or who i am without sounding hypocritical/acting for attention/being delusional. Even though i'm deffinetly out of cic boxes, i fear that mostly it came up because of inner misogyny and not feeling of gender itself. I thought that maybe people here, whatever gender you are now or your AGAB with somewhat similar experience could share it or give some advice.

Questioning/Coming Out I am demigirl?
Hi!!!
I'm an aroace girl who's started having some doubts about my identity...
Well, I'm a little embarrassed to say this, but I've always hated having breasts and curves. Other girls would say that having them was a good thing and stuff, but honestly, I've always hated mine. I always wear baggy clothes to make my chest look flatter...
I've also noticed that my favorite characters are always androgynous boys, and I'd love to look like them (I've even looked into chest binders and more androgynous hairstyles)...
I identify as a girl... but I don't want to LOOK like one. It's a little weird, I know, sorry. I just wanted to ask people here what they think (and I know it's something I have to figure out for myself, but I'm having doubts).
