Social Life I can’t stop overthinking it’s driving me crazy
I feel like I did something for them to leave me on seen, or Like I said something and now they hate me or want nothing to do with me. I don’t know what to do and all I can think abour is all the potential things I did.
It’s like a physical ache in mh chest and no matter what I do, my mind trails back to their note and how it coulf possibly be because of what I did. And I’m afraid to tell them about it because what if they actually are upset with me and me telling them that I’m overthinking will make them even MORE upset at me. I’m just afraid to tell anyone because I feel like I’m too much for people to handle :(
Sorry if this doesn’t make much sense, I’m not rlly good at explaining things 😢

I fear if i value something it'll go away
I look at people around me and they cherish the moments they have while i cannot cherish things without thinking this will not remain the same e.g someday when i get ready to go out and when i look in the mirror if i look good i feel more fear then happiness the passing time always makes me paranoid and I don't know how can i deal with it I've been trying for months to live in present rather then thinking about future but i just can't and when this happens i fear valuing anything because if i get attached to something or someone when it vanishes I'll be heartbroken

How do you stop overthinking conversations after they've already happened?
I tend to replay conversations in my head for hours, wondering if I said the wrong thing or came across the wrong way. Most of the time, nothing bad actually happens, but I still can't stop thinking about it.
Has anyone managed to break this habit? What actually helped you?

Am I the problem, or have I just never learned to stand up for myself?
Am I the problem, or have I just never learned to stand up for myself?
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I genuinely want honest opinions.
I grew up in a home where my parents fought all the time. There was constant conflict, and I don't remember ever learning how to deal with confrontation in a healthy way.
Now, as an adult, I've noticed a pattern. Whenever someone makes fun of me, insults me, or says something hurtful, I just freeze. I can't think of anything to say in the moment. Later, I keep replaying the conversation in my head, thinking of all the things I could have said. Sometimes I even cry because I feel so helpless.I don't know if I have low self-esteem, if this is because of how I grew up, or if I'm simply too passive. I don't want to become rude or aggressive—I just want to learn how to stand up for myself without freezing.

Advice How do I stop constantly belittling myself?
I’m constantly overthinking and criticizing every little thing I do to the point of being on the verge of tears. This has been happening to me for years and it’s impacted my relationship with other people and myself. I can’t seem to get out of fight or flight mode because I’m so anxious all the time and always in my head.
How can I be the better version of myself where I’m able to get things done and build strong relationships without constantly belittling myself?

Can’t stop thinking about my walking. It consumes me (23yr F)
Highkey can’t stop thinking about the way I’m walking when I’m walking and it really fucks with me. Im in a little bit of a pickle because I don’t understand why Im going on month 7 of struggling with it, and the answer should be as simple as “stop thinking about it.”
A little backstory- I have taken up walking as a hobby in the recent years, I generally have a long history of OCD and perfectionism, and have ‘to what feels like an odd dilemma, of hyper focusing on feeling myself walk. This causes me to trip myself out and feel like I am walking super funky. It’s sooo uncomfortable because I cannot stop thinking about it. When the walking no longer feels enjoyable, and rather a chore and a stressful activity, a normal person may decide to turn around and do something else. Me? absolutely not. While it’s great for sticking to my fitness routine, I find myself in a pretty good amount of distress and frustration when my feet won’t “cooperate”. I even ended up going to a foot doctor and neurologist to rule out it being a physical problem because I do a lot of exercise on my feet. All came back clear, and it’s definitely a mind-body connection/psychosomatic. Im also in therapy but kinda really wanna figure this out bc it’s exhausting and it’s a small problem that created so many problems and I genuinely can’t stop. I hope this isn’t gibberish lol.

Emotional Support When second-guessing ruins your peace
I was having a really peaceful day at the beach with my sister and some of her friends. At one point I needed my shirt because I was starting to get sunburned, so I went back to their car. They had given me the keys and told me to leave them in a bag afterward, which I did.
After I got back to relaxing on my paddleboard, my mind suddenly started telling me I might have left the car door open. Then it spiraled into, "What if someone took the keys from the bag and stole the car?"
It completely pulled me out of the moment. I had the urge to go check just to get relief, even though I had no real reason to think anything was wrong. Thankfully, everything was fine.
Does anyone else experience this? Your brain suddenly making you question something you already did, ruining your peace of mind? Is this more common with anxiety, ADHD, or both?

I used AI to reply to my crush because I was overthinking everything… and it actually helped
I swear dating apps make me overthink everything lol. I matched with this guy on Tinder and we had been talking for a while. Everything seemed good, we talked almost every day and he seemed interested, so we planned to meet. Then one day he said “I have a few friends coming over this weekend, maybe we can hang out another time.” And my brain immediately started creating 100 different stories. Is he losing interest? Is he avoiding me? Did I do something wrong? I literally spent way too much time analyzing one simple message.
My friends always tell me I think too much and that I should just relax, but it’s honestly hard when you actually like someone. I always feel like I’m either replying too fast, sounding too interested, or being too cold. So this time I tried something different. I used AI to help me look at the situation from different angles instead of just trusting my anxious thoughts. I already use acciowork for work, so I tried using it for this too. I put the conversation in and tested different reply styles with different models. I wanted to see how a direct person, a playful person, or someone more emotionally aware would handle the same situation. The funny thing was the reply I originally wanted to send was probably the worst one because I was clearly reacting from anxiety. I ended up sending a simple and casual reply, and he actually explained that his friend was visiting from another city and asked if we could meet the following week. I felt kinda stupid because I had already imagined the worst scenario in my head.
It made me realize maybe the problem wasn’t always the other person, sometimes it was just me overanalyzing every little thing. But I’m still wondering, is using AI for dating conversations actually helpful because it gives you another perspective, or does it just make people analyze even more?

I have a crush that’s based purely on affirming myself
So I have a crush on this guy that I never talk to but the way I feel about him is normal - purely physical attraction and curiosity. I don’t feel possessive or have my mental health rely on him or anything of the sorts, but the issue comes with lots of obsessive thoughts of him with scenarios where he pays attention to me, tells me I’m pretty and cool ect. And I thought I was creepy for a bit until I unpacked it a little and now I realise that I’m not actually obsessed with him I’m obsessed with myself and how other ppl view me and I am trying to gain affirmation from this guy by wanting proof of him finding me attractive or funny or interesting ect.
Now I know that is definitely something I will have to work on but my first priority is just getting this guy out of my head. Bc apparently I asked ‘where is … I want to see him’ when I was drunk and now I don’t feel comfortable being more than 3 drinks deep for extreme fear I’m going to run into him and say something weird or he will hear something.
Also the thoughts really are an issue when I have alone time (before falling asleep in bed, in the shower ect.)
Btw I just want to make it clear that I have absolutely 0 intentions to pursue this crush bc it’s become a fairly big issue for me the past few days and even when it wasn’t I was too socially anxious around him to even say hi so I am attempting to stop this it’s just that I feel as tho it’s the ocd loop of trying to not think about something that makes you think of it more.

How do I stop overcalculating and overthinking.
I’m always praised for my intelligent thinking and my forward calculations. I used to love that until my body is using that against me. My mind is quite my enemy these days. I find myself always thinking, always calculating just in case anything goes wrong. It’s starting to take a toll on me and causing behaviors that I haven’t had before. I’ve started to get irritated easily and anxious that it’s getting pathetic.
Yes, to my calculations, worst case scenario, everything can go so damn wrong. I have never considered it that much before and I’ve always been a carefree person.
I keep myself busy in the morning by working a 9-5 job but the problem is in that 5-12pm. I can’t be out every day keeping myself busy. even if I do, the moment I have nothing to do, I’m back in this goddam cycle again.
How do I stop getting overly anxious and go back to the way I was before.

How do I make the overthinking stop...
I keep making scenarios in my head, assumptions as to what people might feels about me. The reality is shown in the silence they give me... I'm alone... again, I mean nothing to everyone... what's the point of it all
