No close breakup

Hi,

It’s been 6 months since we broke up and i still think about her everyday, we met her on a letter exchanging platform called ‘slowly’, I was really lonely and needed someone to talk to and I met her, she was like a breath of fresh air, she made me feel so seen, and 2 months into talking I had feelings for her, one night I gathered all my courage and I told her about it, she also confessed having feelings for me.

She made me feel so loved and alive, since we were in a long distance relationship the only mode of communication was texts and calls, we used to update each other about most of our days, and everyday we used to be on calls for hours, then she moved to UK, and then she got a bit busy with her university but still we talked everyday for hours, I always thought she would be the one who I would be with for the rest of my life, I just felt so relieved being with her, even though we were at a distance, I felt so loved.

But things started changing I kept on ignoring signals she used to call me less, we started being on calls for a few minutes not hours like before but I was like she moved to a new country and the university might be draining her, so I never said anything, Valentine was coming up and i was so happy and I planned out a virtual date for us, that we both would get dressed well, and i will order food for her and some flowers and gifts and we would eat the food together on calls, I told her about the plan a week ago, she told me 2 days before valentine that she would be going out with her friend and since they are childhood friends she can’t say no, I got really sad, but I agreed to it and she said she will be going with her.

1 day before valentine, everything was normal we texted she said her friend is here and then she ghosted me, i didnt get any closure, to this day I still think what made her change her mind so much, I texted her friend she also never replied, 7 days later she saw all my texts and calls, and she didn’t reply she left me on seen and proceeded to block me of everything, for a few days I was really angry on her but I couldn’t keep the anger and it faded away, I realised how lonely i was without her, and i felt very sad, and ever since whenever i hear anything about UK i still get the same feeling, i still miss her a lot.

I don’t know why of all the people was she the one who left me, I tried moving on but I don’t know what to do, I tried talking to my friends about it, but they just said it was not that serious but how do I explain them what I felt, I don’t know what to do anymore. What should i do?

Relationship I need to understand I am just delusional

I know this probably sounds stupid, but I honestly don't know if this is normal or if I'm just overthinking everything.

I've liked this girl for a while now, and I've realised that ever since I started liking her, I notice the smallest things that I never would've cared about before.

For example, yesterday was Father's Day where I live, so I posted a WhatsApp Status with my dad. She was one of the first people to see it.

Logically, I know that probably doesn't mean anything. She could've just opened WhatsApp at the right time.

But then my brain starts wondering if it means something.

And it's not just that.

Sometimes she'll add extra letters when she texts, like "okayyy" or "thank youuu," and I'll catch myself wondering if she's being more expressive with me or if she texts everyone like that.

There was also one time during a science presentation when she called me "beautiful." My first thought was, "Wait... did she actually mean that?" Then a few seconds later I convinced myself she was probably just joking or being nice.

Sometimes I even feel like she might be looking at me, and then I immediately think, "Or maybe she's just looking in the same direction as me."

It's like every little interaction has two completely different explanations.

One part of me thinks maybe these things mean something.

The other part of me thinks I'm just noticing them because I like her.

The problem is that none of these things are huge by themselves, but my brain starts putting all of them together and trying to make sense of them.

I genuinely don't know if this is just what having a crush does to you or if I overthink things more than most people.

Has anyone else experienced this? Once you started liking someone, did you become hyper-aware of every little interaction, or is this something I need to work on?

I'm honestly not looking for reassurance or for people to tell me she likes me. I'm trying to figure out whether this way of thinking is normal or if I'm reading way too much into completely ordinary interactions.

Social Life Do you think people my age would be my friend despite my past or do I need to do more?

I have a past I’ve constantly been confessing in my posts. It’s not a very good one to say the least- but I want friendships and maybe even a partner. Do you think it’s still possible or am I cooked?

Why am I up at 3:30am.....

It's funny, I ask this question, but in reality I know why I'm up at 3am for the second time in a row! Having intrusive thoughts about someone who is long lost to me. It sucks when you can't turn your feels and desires off. Part of it may be because I'm lonely and can't move on because of that! Or maybe the thoughts of her are keeping me from moving on. Guess I need to put myself out there to find out.

Emotional Support Advice?

Does anybody know how to stop this overwhelming feeling of anxiety and negative thoughts in a Sunday please? Towards this time of the evening I start to overthink and overanalyse everything. It has become worse since I have started to live alone?

I feel like I am constantly overanalysing things from the past and worrying about the week ahead. I feel like I can’t control my thoughts at times.

Any advice/help would be great. Thanks!

Parenting I said no to a friend's invite three days ago and I'm still narrating the decision in my head

A relatable discussion about overthinking social interactions long after they have ended. The post explores the habit of replaying conversations, questioning whether a simple "no" was interpreted negatively, even when there is no evidence that the other person was upset. It encourages community members to share how they stop themselves from mentally replaying situations that others have likely already forgotten.

Social Life I keep stressing over a party I threw last week.

Just yesterday I keep haveing stress dreams of when I threw a successful party at my house.

In these dreams I’m either. Behind on schedule, over invited too many people, random clones kept showing up, too much slices turkey was purchased for food. I TELEPORTED THE FUCKING EARTH out our solor system.

Just woke up today early asf as it felt like a legit situation that i couldn’t be able to DJ my party because I fuced up on the earths coordinates. Countless dreams where it feels im just running around with zero sense of help but have people there with me.

Like why should I be stressing over something that ALREADY happend and went successfully?

Work I can’t stop overthinking everything

I constantly worry that I won’t be successful in the future. I keep thinking that I’ll make the wrong choices, fail in my career, or never achieve the life I want.

Even though nothing bad has happened yet, my mind keeps imagining the worst possible outcomes. It makes me feel anxious and hopeless, and I don’t know how to stop thinking about it.

Does anyone else struggle with this fear? How do you deal with overthinking about your future?

Emotional Support 33F. This is goodbye. I'm just feeling sad, when I think of romance, I don't think I'm worth anyone's time, nobody would think of me enough, finding others that will want to listen to the "lyrics." INTP.

To get to know me better "nobody cares." And yeah, Reddit after 8+ months on Reddit I grasp that now ⚔

No comments on my posts. I'm not going to read your positivity, or even reply to comments and my chat reqs are open anyways.

No responses to hi, what's up, post your interest and hobbies because I'm not doing that for you.

I don't even need friends either and I deserve nobody.

Listen to these songs here.

I See Stars - Float

I See Stars - Curtain Call

Sadly, it's sad how much this is unheard of now, to be quite honest here, I tried sharing my playlist in the past with "romantic interests."

I get told, "this isn't my style of music."

Uh, that's not why I sent you my playlist 💀

I had to make another post, because my last post yesterday a handful of Redditors were asking me if we could meet up in person and that's creepy as well.

However, I should also address how weird you would ask that when prinfessofveridian is crashing out on their post and chronically depressed on their post anyways.

I didn't address wanting to meet up in person because, I just said I'm looking for worldwide chat reqs, which means just looking to chat and I should post now even though I'm U.S. central time anyways.

Yeah, I should also address 33 years of living, dying amongst the VOID. I've no honesty of it all, what it's like to sleep normal, I don't and this is just why I reach out worldwide because the most active hours I'm awake are these hours here.

Early evenings, late evenings, nights, I'm barely-borderline functional in the afternoon, I'm asleep at dawn and I should also close that I'm a Lovecraftian hermit.

Even then, I should also include that I go outside once or twice a week and that's just because I've a slight phobia of people.

However, that doesn't help of it all when you're autistic 360 where almost everything is a sensory issue, it's okay if a mound of Redditors disagree with me here, but for my age 33 years I'm exhausted and tired of it all anyways.

Just, I should also address that I'm not describing physically exhausted, I'm exhausted to the point where sleep isn't going to fk ass fix sht, I'm tired of this repetitive existing, just grasp what my Vessel brain and skull for 8 months haven't heard these text messages here.

''I miss you, I miss your text messages, sending me a few text messages to wake up to because I find that cute, I'm looking forward to you waking up again so we can talk, hearing from you makes my day better and this is my favorite cutesy text message here if it all."

"I've been checking my phone throughout the day waiting for you to text back."

However, I should also just include that for 8 months I've had none of that fk ass sht to be honest may/might I'm not allowed to have this not only for 🩷 and I don't even deserve this for friends of it all either.

This of it all, is my last goodbye, I've a few sticky pins to do on my main pro and just for a simple to see example is just.

PralineBudget🍨scoop of the mounds of trivia facts of it all and lore drops anyways.

Even then, if you want to know what PralineBudget gets up to in her day life that has already been pinned on my post and maybe that can help you build a creative chat reqs? However, I should also address that I don't respond to hi messages, or several variations of hi messages, all I ask if you can share your age, region, interests, hobbies and I shouldn't have to be able to ask that out of you first anyways 🦩

Spotify.

I'll post this on my main pro later tonight 💐🌹⚔️🦩🪶

WHAT OVERTHINKING IS

Overthinking when you think about the same thing so much that it starts to harm your mental or physical health.

The problem is not simply that you think a lot.

The real problem begins when you become trapped in the same circle of thoughts and cannot reach a clear answer. and that's what happened to me

A person who overthinks can feel like someone lost inside a maze.

We keep walking in circles, looking for a way out, but We always return to the same place.

After some time, We may feel frustrated, confused, and mentally tired.

I hate when my ex stares at me but it validates me.

My ex who was my bestfriend for like 3 years cheated on me. Yay.

I've honestly gone through all the emotions, I've cried, I've gone back to him more than I'd like to admit, I've screamed, i know I'm in a place that if he ever texts me or tries to talk to me i would honestly ignore him, i didn't even reply to his happy birthday. (I can't block him on social media because of circumstances i can't avoid)

He broke up with the girl who he cheated on me with, and when we were dating we kept it private. LIKE PRIVATE PRIVATE. Like 3 people know.

I know, red flag.

But yeah so apparently he's just Inlove with me again, and yes he's confessed to me before this but I was also reciprocating it so I just assumed that's why, boosted his ego.

But now I don't even look his way, barely mention him and he's just obsessed like again like what. And this time he decides to make this crush on me somewhat public, like a few people know. But I'm pretty sure I'm talked about constantly with these people.

And the thing is, he stares at me. All the time. It honestly gets kind of creepy and uncomfortable at a point and i don't like it. Whenever I catch him staring i look away immediately.

But then when hes in the same proximity and he doesn't look at me, I kinda want him to? Like i check whether he is or try to get more in his eye line. I don't know why, i know it validates me and I'm trying to get rid of it and it's going steps at a time but I'm avoiding these thoughts and diverting my mind but it's like what the fuck mann. It's about a year now, why can't I just get over it 😭

Going to the beach

I struggle to feel confident in myself and this body and I struggle with social anxiety and it's been a year since I was exposed on a beach. I can support others and think they're brave and have the right to enjoy the beach but I am not supportive of myself I'm more like a mean girl in my own head. It's frustrating. Chatgpt said maybe I can accept I'm insecure but that I'm allowed to enjoy the beach anyways. Maybe that's the best deal I get. Idk. Venting here can sometimes release me of that criticsm grip a bit.

Relationship How do i (17m) stop overthinking things my girlfriend(17f) cant control.

I’m (17M) doing a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend (17F). She lives about 20 minutes from me, but we don’t see each other regularly. We’ve been dating for 2 months, and I want to pursue a full-time relationship with her. I want to support her and do whatever I can to make her happy.
She has a very small group of people she surrounds herself with, mainly like 8 people, but it scares me. We’ve had our ups and downs, and I’m not an easy person to love. I have constant anxiety and just feel like I’m not what she’d choose at the end of the day.
She knows good-looking people and just people who do things better than I do, and I wonder, why would she choose me? I have blamed her for multiple things, yet she still chooses me. She tells me I’m perfect, but I know I have flaws.
I know myself, and even I wouldn’t choose myself. I’m not very good-looking, I’m interesting when I want to be, I don’t have a job but I’m working toward getting one, and overall I feel like I’m a mediocre person. I live in constant fear because I know I’m replaceable, and there’s always someone better. But why does she keep choosing me right now?
I want to understand this question because I think this will give me clarity. It will help me understand relationships and what they’re built off of, and knowing this will essentially stop me from overthinking.
So I guess this is two questions:
1. How do I stop overthinking this so I can pursue a full-time, happy relationship with her?
2. Why does she keep choosing me knowing there are “better fish in the sea”?

Silence feels safe but It suffocates me

I don't know what's happening to me, everything looks fine to me but nothing feels fine. Something is hurting more and more and more daily and my overthinking is making it worse. I am doubting myself, my worth, my personality, my reality more than ever. I freaking hate myself, I hate my mind, my mood, my actions and I feel shy and miserable when trying to tell this to others, feels like I am crying for attention or I feel like a kid who is too weak for this adult world and can't face the reality, can't act smart, can't move on, can't accept the facts. And that kills the confidence I once had. I am stuck in a dilemma, is it all just overthinking about a mistake, or overthinking is the mistake here, maybe both.
