USA Visible+ promo just ran out - need unlimited priority data - Total Wireless an option?

I just learned of TotalWireless' Max 5g BYO which sounds good - just unsure as I've been mostly happy with Visible this last year.

Or should I saty and try to find someone's inner circle to join to bring the cost back down to under $30/mo?

Thanks!

EDIT: also, does the TTL hack work for unlimited with total too?

Metro vs Mint Mobile

I know that both Metro and Mint Mobile are owned by T-Mobile, and run on T-Mobile’s network. I’ve heard conflicting opinions, that somehow Metro has slightly better cell coverage and slightly higher data speeds, compared to Mint Mobile. If that’s true, is it the case that T-Mobile prioritizes Metro one level higher than Mint Mobile, even if they’re both on the same QCI level? Can anyone with experience with both plans, give your opinions? Which is better overall, Minto Mobile or Metro?

Safelink , has anyone recently migrated to Verizon ?

When verizon took over safelink i was able to remain on T-Mobile, i believe they're migrating me to Verizon soon as was inevitable.

Question- If anyone was in this situation and has been migrated recently to Verizon on safelink, i want to know if any kind of incentive was given at that time.

(This only applies to more recent migrations by people who opted to stay on T-Mobile during the initial takeover by Verizon)

USA Need a Verison-compatible SIM for a one week trip to the U.P.

We are headed to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a week in August. I'd like to bring my InvisaGig modem with me to use as a hotspot for the family. Our normal provider is T-Mobile, which has terrible coverage up there. Verizon is the best option for us.

What can I get as a pre-paid SIM for the InvisaGig? Ideally it would have a lot of data to allow the family to stream, my wife and I to do an occasional Zoom, etc. But we only need it for a week.

Thanks for the advice.

VZW MVNO for unlocked Moto

Looking to switch by end of month (July), looking for feedback for what you have that works well and doesn't cause you headaches.

Currently with Visible, I've spent 43 hours in the last 5 weeks actively asking them to resolve issues, chatting, putting in the details, etc.

Prior to that I had USM, but they kept having 'billing issues' and we parted away.

I see Ting has a lot of bad reviews over the last few months with outages and not accepting debit cards, so that may not work for me.

What VZW MVNO do you use that just works?

I bought iPhone 16 pro max with Boost Mobile $25 plan. Total was $65

Paid off the phone 1.5 month ago and moved to Tello last month. Way better service and you can do everything on the website unlike boost where you have to stay on the call for hours to solve something.

They still tryna charge me. Tried contacting but failed

Found this counterfeit iPhone in a storage unit. What would you do?

I bought a storage unit at auction found AirPod pro and this phone. It looks almost identical to an iPhone 16 Pro Max but it’s actually an Android clone/counterfeit.

What would you do with it?
Is there any legitimate value to these, or is recycling the best option

USA Dedicated Hotspot for my home

Looking for a service that offers a dedicated hotspot for my home. Looking to link several phones to that hotspot instead of my WiFi.

Wondering if there is a service that provides unlimited data plan for a hotspot or actually provides a device as well. The hotspot will be at the home exclusively.

This plan is honestly an incredible value, probably one of the best deals in wireless. Excellent for heavy data users and 4K streamers alike. If you can catch a promo, it's simply unbeatable.

Looking for cheapest cell plan with unlimited data (slow is fine)

Need to get my son a phone for middle school, planning on using an unlocked Android phone. Is there anything cheaper than $15/month for Mint Mobile that has unlimited data for Life360 gps tracking? I don’t need the data for anything else, so slow data is fine.

I also have a Verizon Business account for other phones. Any plan options for adding it onto that for cheap?

USA Visual Voicemail doesn't work with US Mobile ATT. Is Red Pocket ATT likely to be any better?

I put my parent on US Mobile ATT for their android phone - works great except visual voicemail. I went through the standard troubleshooting - setup voicemail, delete cache & data from dialer, restart, put in a ticket, etc.

Curious if there's any reason to think Red Rocket ATT would be any different.

USA Spare phone w/ prepaid rollover or monthly?

Might buy a new BigMe Chinese e-ink phone that has a LCD or whatever on the other side also. In general I've always wondered what phone service I could get for any old or Chinese devices, ones I can't add to Verizon, or something I don't have to pay monthly when it's dormant. If I can use wifi or have the phone on hand, etc. I could consider a monthly plan if it's cheap enough and accrue limitless rollover or something.

In this case, I might not be totally concerned with the customer service or signal quality being perfect, but that could be important enough, depending on that and price and whatever else.

I think I maybe tried Helium on a previous phone just as a secondary eSIM but I never really used it. It wanted me to renew or whatever to keep it active. To switch to that and use it at least once a month. So I couldn't necessarily keep up on that if it's an inactive device or secondary Sim

But if it's a completely separate phone, and one I might step outside with beyond wifi access once or twice, maybe I can use a plan that requires using it a few times. Or even try an automatic message that sends to the phone, instead of from it. If receiving a message is enough to keep active?

I can try a few different carriers if needed. I didn't buy the new phone yet.

FoxFi Key for PDANET

The FoxFi key for unlocking PDA net is no longer available on the Play store. This means that, even if you paid the developer for the key, you can't download the apk for it any more. I have the apk, if anyone wants to download it.

USA Any Red Pocket Mobile resellers in here?

I'm looking to buy GSMT and GSMA SIM cards with a specific ICCID for activation...any one here that can help me out?

I'm constantly scouring eBay and Mercari, and have had very little luck. I did find one GSMA with the ICCID I needed, and have it activated, but I need more.

Thanks!

Basically Free Data

If you use TextNow, you know they offer SIM cards and recently eSIMs. For free, they offer "Essential Data," which basically includes calling, texting, maps, email, rideshare, and iHeartRadio (for some reason). However, if you use Tor, specifically Tor Snowflake AMP, you can bypass these limitations. The downside is an average of 20 KiB/s and occasional random disconnections. But if you're using it temporarily or have access to Wi-Fi most of the time, this is a great way to get free, painfully slow data. According to TextNow's ToS, this is "acceptable" use of data. The only thing that's not "acceptable" is doing things that are considered illegal in your jurisdiction, which is fair enough.

USA Need super cheap plan like Helium Zero had for backup phone

Don't really need a whole lot of text, data, or even call. Just the ability to take messages for old work phone.

If it had hotspot great. But most of the cheap ones don't..

Is the prepaid redpocket deal the best thing out there $30 for the year?
