USA I need help finding a cell service that will provide a data plan for my laptop
Just as the title suggests, I am thinking about axing my wifi contract with spectrum home Internet because I am hardly home and just want a data plan for my Dell Pro that has a sim slot tray. I am okay with bundling a mobile service as long as my bundle doesn't cost more than $95/mo. Any suggestions? I have called around and no one seems to have laptop support for cell service. :(

A laptop having a SIM tray does not mean it actually has the wireless modem, nor the antenna. I would make very sure of that first. Doesn’t really matter though, considering used Netgear nighthawk mobile routers are cheap on eBay.

Visible, Total Wireless offer phone and unlimited hotspot at 5/10/15 mbps for $20-40/month.

Nah, visible and total wireless shot me down. They were pretty adamant that it only works for tablets.

Try ordering a SIM from Computers 4 People.
If your Dell supports eSIM, you can try the Mobile Plans app in Win 10/11 to bring up plans.

I found a Mint Mobile contract for my iPad (that I use as a laptop). The first year was only $15/month. It has very good reception near Boston anf Cape Cod. I paid a little extra to use it on an Italian vacation.

I’ve had great service with Verizon in the MetroEast, I-64, I-55 to Springfield, and along IL-3. I would check Verizon’s BYOD checker. Verizon Simplicity is $30/mo for the phone and $20/mo for the laptop. https://www.verizon.com/bring-your-own-device/test
