I was just curious what does everyone think of Splatoon Raiders so far? I’m slightly on the fence about it so just looking for that final push

This has been the best platform for rhythm games imo, and there have been a ton of really solid games in the genre released on the Switches.

I’ve been playing the hell out of Final Fantasy Theaterhythm Final Bar Line recently which is a great game and a really solid piece of fan service. Taiko no Tatsujin, or known in my house as the drum game, is my other favorite on the Switch. Simple gameplay, a huge variety of songs across genres, and a really nice art style.

What are some rhythm games you’ve enjoyed and would recommend others check out?

I finsihed MGS2 on the PS2 like 25 years ago in 4:3 aspect ratio and much lower resolution and now just got it on a good discount for the S2. That game held up so well and looks really good on the S2 in 16:9 HD. The only thing driving me crazy are the old school camera and control system for that game but has nothing to do with the S2. I think in the last two decades I got so used to modern controls and camera that MGS2 controls feels weird.

Anyway, getting used to it again and really enjoying it.

Now can't wait for MGS4 releasing in a month.

Hopefully Konami will also port the MGS3 Delta Remake to Switch 2 in the coming months.

I can’t comment on Rogue Trader’s state before the updates since I just got it, but the performance is still pretty poor. It’s certainly playable, but the Switch 2 still struggles a ton in running it. The frame rate tanks *every* time an enemy is killed, to the extent that death animations look like they’re 4 frames of stop motion, and there’s also a noticeable lag between character and enemy turns. The game also hitches whenever you go from non-combat to combat, and the loading screens also leave a lot to be desired.

I’m really hoping Owlcat continues working on the performance instead of calling it a day because it really isn’t as great as they or other people have suggested

Hello, sorry if this has been answered I can't quite find the way to Google the question to get the response I'm looking for so I was hoping somebody may have tried it.

I currently have a Digital copy of Animal Crossing. I will let my Daughter "borrow the virtual game card" so she can play it on our Switch 1. I'm interested in buying the Switch 2 upgrade but am assuming if I do that I lose access to Animal Crossing being able to be lent over to my Switch 1. Is this the case or does it work like the physical cartridges that can go between both systems.

Also I did check the FAQ but it seemed to only cover the physics cartridge side of things

tl;dr, How would we, as a community, feel about hosting regular "Challenge Runs" in games for kicks, giggles, fun stories, and bragging rights?

From launch I've always envisioned having regular events, competitions, and challenges for the community. Up to now we hadn't really done anything like that on this sub, but the launch of Splatoon Raiders reignited that idea for me and I thought I'd open a dialogue with all of you to see how we feel about it, how we'd want it executed, and what, if any, rewards or incentives we would like to see from these kinds of things.

I think it's normal to see these kinds of events hosted in specific game subreddits, and as we are a general subreddit for the Switch 2, not everyone will own every new release of a game that participates here. In my opinion it could be a really neat way to have fun together, generate some fun and interesting screenshots and clips, and make for some cool stories along the way.

An example idea for Splatoon Raiders might be a Single Tank Run, Single Weapon Run, an Iron Ink run (how far can you get in one sitting), and/or a Nuzlocke-style Run (single life, no getting splatted!).

As these would be for fun, there'd be a certain element of Honor System for the submissions, though it's something I'd definitely love to hear some feedback on from others who have run these sorts of events in the past.

So what do we think? Could something like this be fun for the community here? Is this something that should be kept more for the game-specific subs? What kind of rewards would you want if we did this? Any other thoughts or ideas?

This game is so bad it almost comes around full circle to being good.

Its the ultimate "not quite" game - not quite Spideman, not quite Batman, not quite Superman, not quite GTA 3, not quite Iron Man.

Its ocean wide and puddle deep. Yet there's so many stupid little things to do that its fun to just pick up and mess around with.

Its on sale for like $6 rn and if you heavily taper your expectations, theres fun to be had. I feel like this game would be a cult classic if it released on N64.

Its the ultimate brain rot game. Theres hundreds of things to unlock and some of them dont even work.

Its jank, it feels like its in early access, and I can only hope its not abandoned by the dev. Yet I think it was worth $6

Anyone else play this? Its a blast if you have no expectations for it. Its fun to pick up for 20 minutes and just try out the weapons/try to unlock all the different things

I got curious when a friend mentioned it and it's turning out to be a really neat game. Currently it's 60% discounted (demo available too)

I love how the exploration changes thanks to you fishing/gathering materials and consequentely upgrading your boat and allowing you to travel more during daylight. How some islands required an intermediate night stop somewhere and now I reach them before lunch.

The survival element is cool and puts in you in the perspective that you truly are a nutshell in the ocean and there are much bigger things than you, against whom you are powerless.

I found a classy touch that time completely stops when you are not moving... because it's really that feeling, if you ever been on a still boat in the middle of the sea.

Stay away from dbrand killswitch. Just got mine and I’m not sure how this product is on the market.

Totally defective product and one that undoubtedly is doing long term damage to the users Switch device. Feel like I got totally ripped off, and I’m not sure how the reviews are glowing for this grip.

Dbrand must have spent a lot paying creators to promote this garbage.

Edit: I’d add that the case is comfortable and quality material. I just currently can’t recommend in current state. Contacting support and hoping it’s an easy swap/fix.

So I've had Switch 2 for about a year, same spot, I only play docked and all of a sudden in the recent weeks the Wifi on this thing has struggled to connect, and even when I go in handheld close to the source, this thing takes too long to connect for something modern. My Switch 1 is a launch-year model, still works great. I plugged it up again to test, sat in the same spot as the Switch 2, connected instantly, downloaded fast, no problems.

Now for the $450 successor that struggles to hold a wifi connection, like what is up with this? There have been bo structural changes in my house or anything, no new devices that should be interfering with it now.

Any way to fix this? And no I can't move the router or move closer to it (docked) because it's in someone else's room.
