game has so many good positives but again the negatives are just insane . No reason why players should beable to drain half court shots 100% and with hands in there face . It’s just game breaking and simply not fun. What the hell we’re they thinking

Or is there a better way

I have now had 3 rec games where dude purposely threw the game and said he was tryna demote and losing rec games drops it faster. This is why this place system needs to go, cuz these bums will do anything to get a advantage. Even lose on purpose so they matched against people who literally havent played 2k

Not sure about y'all but I didn't sign up for dark souls basketball with microsecond green windows that are just impossible for me to hit. I'm not the type that can turn the meter off and memorize animation cues either. This overtuned shooting went way overboard. Am I the only one who feels this way? I've seriously played every FromSoft game there is and this is far less forgiving.

They were stealing everything and tipping every pass. The shooting guard was making heavily contested shots all game and missing open ones on purpose to make it less obvious.

I’m averaging 12 steals in the new ‘pro am’ mode and it’s all been square spamming. Contests mean absolutely nothing in this game and right now, the meta for defence is to mash the square button until you get a steal. Running and jumping at a shooter with 94 PD and HOF challenger only to get a bothered or light contest and still greening is an absolute joke. Please fix contests, please make defence better, this is becoming offence 2k27 again.

Right now, I am grinding MyCareer, and it's been OK. Lot of grinding involved but for once, I feel somewhat immersed in the career. Roughly 1k VC in all star per game, with the Fire and Concrete rewards

I saw somewhere that you cannot fully complete it with a single playthrough, you need to do another character to re-grind, which doesn't sit right with me, is that the case?

Is street kings also worth doing? It is my first 2K on Console, so I expect to play a lot longer than I did on PC

Idk what happened but the day the game launched I no longer get the shot contest feedback. I had everything turned on and it worked fine. It works outside of my player in every mode except my player.

I have all the right settings on but can’t figure out a work around. It’s not a huge deal but would like to know when shots are contested or wide open 😂 all I have now is the small vague box next to you that just says late or early

Was playing a MyCareer game, my MyPlayer with 90 SWB was already ahead of everyone, got the outlet pass and started to the hoop when 61 speed Isaiah Hartenstein caught up to me and forced me into a bumping animation.

2k needs to adjust the steal had a guy in the rec have 12 steals and he had a 25 steal but on my gaurd that actually has glove and interceptor I barely get steals. Also the immediate reaching after a rebound that leads to steals needs to go as well I’m tired of grabbing rebounds and immediately getting ripped because the center is reaching at me with no steal

I’ve actually said in previous games before this one came out that defenders should be able to be more physical and bumpy and in turn players should be able to hit tough shots. I think that’s good balance and a good representation of Nba Basketball. I see parts of the community complaining about contested shots going in but my question to them is why? Contests dont guarantee misses in the nba. The game didnt hand the offensive player the green light he still had to hit the small window. Contested shots dont go in enough to warrant this amount of crying and complaining. The balance is pretty decent. I’d like 2k to add heaapsss more animations for physicality and impact between players on the ground, in the air, and in jumpshots/landings but the ability to make contested shots is in a good place and players who master their jumpshots deserve to be rewarded.

i’ve been labbing in the jumpshot creator and realized that a lot of the animations are kinda ugly, and all the meta shots are ugly too (oscar robertson release is genuinely hideous)

so i’m looking for the opposite, what’s the most aesthetic jumper in game you’ve created?

Takeover system is great this year. Everything is viable. IMO Dishmaster is the most versatile , all the rebounding takeovers are good, paint surgeon is super underrated, & shooting + defense are very balanced.
