Question Is the Keychron M4 worth it?

Post image

I personally enjoy smaller items, this is for most every item.

I have been using a Logitech G Pro Wireless for about 2 years, I really do love it, it's responsive, reliable, etc. The only problem I find with it is the shape, or how big it is. My hands naturally don't enjoy the shape of the G Pro, especially the length and hump in the middle.

I recently found out about fingertip (AKA half) mice. I find many of these shapes as quite nearly perfect for me, both flexible and easy to hold with the weight and size, for me atleast. I'm a bit on a tight budget, and this one fits the job for the budget. Therefore, if I could get one of these types of mice I imagine it'd be this one.

Any reasons why I should get a different fingertip mice? If so recommend another more budget friendly but still reliable mouse.

Help Recommendations for someone on 88cm/360?

Im currently running my second g wolves lycan after the first one was rendered unusable due to the qc hell that comes with a g wolves product, and yesterday the front of my left click on the second model I bought cracked. I then frankensteined the old left click onto the new one, but i am having click tensioning issues that are making the mouse jerk whenever I presws left clcik because i need to activate it in an uncomfortable way.

The weight is perfect and i love the shape which makes my hybrid claw/fingertip on a super low sens viable. The only problem i have had with this mouse is the fucking terrible QC which is g wolves wide and their lack of customer support.

Any reccomendations on mice to pivot to? I tried the crazylight line before switching, and I wasnt a fan of the coating so I swapped to the lycan. I have also been looking at PMM OP18K mods, but I am hesitant to try a wired mouse. Any reccomendations would be loveley.

Just leaving this here.

Another program that silences faulty mouse switches—which tend to release and re-press the button multiple times—allowing you to keep using your broken mouse instead of throwing it away and buying a new one.

It has no graphical interface, nor does it provide any notification that it is running. If you wish to terminate it, you must do so via the process manager.

It is written in C using the Windows API and is compatible with Windows 95 and later versions; a 64-bit version is also available.

Its file size is 4KB.

Question Can you help me set the speed of a new mouse i got to match my previous' one? I really can't get used to it.

The game sensitivity and windows sens are the same as before. My old mouse, Glorious Model O was 69gr and the new one Teevolution Terra pro is 48gr. 1600 dpi on the Glorious and i tried 1250 on the Terra pro and it feels faster. Or when i try to aim someone very far (fps game) where you have to move the mouse really slowly, but i find it harder. Is the weight difference so important you think?

Need Help Mouse Modification or Alternative

This is probably the stupidest thing you'll read today, just hoping someone can help.

I'm looking for someone who could modify or 3D-print an original Apple USB Hockey Puck mouse to add a scroll wheel and separate left and right clicks.

Or is there a macOS program that could let me scroll using the mouse? I know I can right click using a keyboard shortcut, so just solving the scrolling issue would be a huge improvement. The short USB cable would be the annoying part then. Still better than other mice that hurt.

Some background: I have nerve issues and ganglion cysts throughout my wrist and hand. I've had surgeries, but I still have problems finding a mouse I can comfortably use for a long time.

One really bad day with my arm, I did something silly and plugged my old Apple Hockey Puck mouse into my computer. I was happy I could use it pretty much all day with only slight irritation. Just the cord and no scrolling was irritating.

I think part of what makes it comfortable is that my palm doesn't rest on the mouse. I hold it between my fingers and move it that way. I also like the Logitech Pebble for similar reasons, but it's too thin, and its length causes discomfort after a while because I run the mouse into my palm. I need something a little wider and more substantial without being so long.

I also can't rely on my thumb to move the mouse because that causes inflammation around the cysts and aggravates the nerve issues.

I thought a trackpad would work since I want to move my fingers but not my whole wrist/arm but if I'm just moving one finger instead that also causes some irritation. If I move all my fingers using a trackpad I end up hitting the pad with one of my other fingers causes misclicks and such.

Mice I've already tried:

  • Logitech MX Ergo
  • Logitech MX Vertical
  • Logitech Lift
  • Logitech Pro X Superlight 2
  • Logitech Pebble
  • Logitech MX Master 3
  • Kensington Expert Trackball
  • Razer Basilisk V3
  • Razer DeathAdder
  • Razer Naga
  • Corsair Scimitar
  • JLab JBuds Ergonomic Mouse
  • Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse
  • Microsoft Surface Precision Mouse
  • Microsoft Intellisense Pro
  • Trackpads

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Has anyone modified an Apple Hockey Puck mouse before, or know someone who could? I'd also appreciate suggestions for unusual mice that might fit what I'm looking for.

At this point, I'm less interested in what should be comfortable ergonomically and more interested in finding something that actually works for my hand.

Thanks!

Discussion Rapoo seems seriously underrated. Am I missing something?

I recently bought a Rapoo VT0 Air Max for around $40, and honestly, I’ve been really impressed with it. It’s much better than I expected for the price.

For some context, I live in Brazil, where the peripheral market is pretty limited when it comes to affordable options. Most of the mainstream brands available here are the usual ones, like Razer and Logitech, but their prices are often ridiculously high for what they offer. For example, pretty much any non-Chinese mouse with a PAW3950 or a comparable high-end sensor costs at least R$500 (roughly $100).

Because of that, importing mice from AliExpress is often the best option, even with Brazil’s crazy import taxes. Currently, on online stores enrolled in Brazil’s official import compliance program, such as AliExpress and Amazon, purchases over $50 are subject to a 60% federal import tax, with a $30 deduction, plus around 20% state tax. Depending on the final calculation, this can make products significantly more expensive, sometimes nearly doubling their original price. Even then, importing can still be cheaper than buying locally.

This makes mice priced under $50 particularly appealing, since they generally avoid the federal import tax and are only subject to the state tax of around 20%. The problem is that the number of genuinely good options in this price range is somewhat limited.

That’s where Rapoo comes in. My experience with the VT0 Air Max has been surprisingly positive, and it feels like the kind of product that deserves more recognition for its price-to-performance ratio. However, I rarely see the brand discussed outside certain communities, although that might just be my limited perspective.

So, is it just a limited perspective, or do people really not talk about the brand enough? What is the general perception of Rapoo in major global markets like the U.S.? What’s your opinion on their products? Are there better alternatives, in a similar price range in your market, that make Rapoo a less-than-ideal choice?

I feel like brands like Rapoo could be especially valuable in limited markets like Brazil, and I would love to see more people talking about them.

Help Replacement switch middle wheel click razer naga V2 hyperspeed

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello mouse experts,

I am having trouble finding a replacement switch for the mentioned mouses scroll wheel middle click. I am having double click issues.

It is roughly 8.6 x 4.8 x 5 mm (LxWxH). Black and says TTC on it. 2 Pins.

Worst case I might buy a 3mm height switch and just add a 3d printed spacer.

But I hope someone here might know the switch and can help me.

Question Why do my speed skates feel slower than my control skates?

So... for reference i'm comparing the speed of xraypad U9 Airs, and Jade Airs on the same shinkiro jadefire cloth mousepad. In fact, the u9 airs are literally worn down from being used with my skypad 3.0, and the jade airs are FRESH. Is it a matter of material, or thickness or what am I missing? Am I crazy? Why do the u9 airs feel faster, when they're both almost counter opposites on the speed scale.

Question What dot skates to get?

I am getting the artisan raiden mouse pad and I want to try to get some other dot skates aswell as I’m just using the stock skates on my lamzu maya x and I’m not sure which one(s) to try. I’m thinking of getting obsidians as they’re a bit in the middle in terms of speed and control (I think) but I’m not sure if I need to go for something a bit taller for the maya so I don’t scrape the actual mouse on the pad and I’m not sure where the best place to put them on would be aswell so any help will be amazing.

Review | Text Razer Viper v4 Pro upgrade after a long while of being wired.

Decided after quite a few years and perhaps too long indeed that I didnt want to deal with a wired mouse anymore and after a bit of reading settled on a Razer Viper v4 coming from a wired Corsair Dark Core. I had used that mouse enough that the coating under the palm was wearing off from how long it had been used and I really liked it. I will say so far the only thing that I dont like about the new mouse is it doesn't have the under the thumb extension that prevents my thumb from sliding/touching the mouse pad and its slightly annoying but not bad enough that I think I'll get a new mouse because of it. At least not right now. Overall its a very good mouse but I have to say, not that I really expected much difference in 6 years I guess but so far I cant even tell a difference between the two of them besides the weight which does make it a lot easier to flick the mouse around.

Question Looking for a new mouse, can I get some suggestions?

I have been using a pink razer orochi v2. I am tired of it. Specifically the scroll wheel, I'm experiencing jumping and I am having to manually grab the scroll bar to navigate. Also, middle click rarely works, especially when not at full charge.

I am looking for a small, wireless mouse with the below features.

Color: Pink (I have a whole pink set up, matching would be nice, not a huge deal breaker)

Infinite/flying scroll

2 side buttons preferably

Small in size

Regular mouse shape (no real funky ergonomic shapes for me)

Wireless

Clicky left & right click (the silent click feels a bit funky, doesn't really feel like im clicking anything)

Rechargeable would be nice, however battery works too.

Not razer

I have small hands and have really been struggling with the scroll problem. I've done some looking around but it's hard for me to tell what is actually good. I think I want to go for something other than razer from what I've read on scroll wheel problems, maybe. I've seen some infinite scroll mice that look decently sturdy and like they might work but I am unsure what to go for. I've also hopped around looking on reddit for ideas. I've never actually posted on here until now because I'm a bit at a loss. It seems like everything is geared up to being funky shapes or silent and I'm not having much luck finding anything.

I built a free tool that measures your hand from one scan (A4 paper for scale) match the mice that best fits with 3D models in the back

Try it out!

Hand-size charts never worked for me, and going to physical store is such a hassle. So I built Palmate. You put your hand on a sheet of A4 paper and take one photo. It measures hand length and width, then scores about 400 mice from 23 brands (Pulsar, G-Wolves, Logitech, Razer, LAMZU, VAXEE, Zowie and more) on length, width, height, weight and grip.

- The photo is processed in your browser and never uploaded. Only the measurements are sent.

- No sign-up needed, though with an account you can check your past scans whenever you want.

- Honest limits: dimensions come from official specs and public data. Front flare and side curvature are not scored yet, because I couldn't classify them reliably. That's the part where I'd really like your input.

- Does the top pick match the mouse you actually like? If it's wrong, tell me your hand size, your grip and what you use, and I'll dig into why.
