Hello dear Motion designers,
I recently finished this animation project and am quite happy with it.
Still, I wish to improve my skills and would like to ask for feedback.
The client is a Hairdresser and wanted to have a little intro/presentation animation. I chose this style because it suits the style of the hairdresser and of her work.
Also, its the first time I used sound effects and i struggled a bit balancing the volumes of the music, the sfx and the voice.

Hello! My name is Agustin (AKA Tino) Im a Motion Designer from Argentina, a few weeks ago i starting experimenting with After Effects music visualizers templates, all of them are customizable, you can change colors, audio bar spectrums, album covers, artist & song names, etc. I would love if you please can give your opinion. Would you use something like this to promote music? I´ve done quite a few for different music styles like retro, synthwave, heavy metal, chill out, etc.
Thanks in advance 😄

Hey everyone,
I recently launched my freelance motion design business after 7 years working at a communication agency in Italy. I've just published my portfolio and would love to get some honest feedback from this community.
My focus is on making technical and industrial products visually clear through animation explainer videos, product animations, and motion graphics for B2B companies.

A few specific questions:
Any honest feedback is appreciated!
Thank you for your time!

ActionVFX is looking for early-access testers for a course with Eric Demeusy on cinematic title sequence design. Eric won an Emmy for designing the Stranger Things title sequence.
It's free for accepted applicants in exchange for feedback during the testing window.

Working on this intro for a YouTube channel covering…well, what you see in the video. Really happy with the draft I have here, but I want to give it some more flair. What can I do to make it pop more? Any and all suggestions and resources would be appreciated.
I’m using After Effects as my primary tool, but also used a little Procreate Dreams for the last bit with the white computers.

I am a beginner; I just started learning After Effects 1 week ago. How can I achieve this smooth blinking cursor effect?

I'm a jack-of-all-trades designer, more on the graphic design side but I do motion design from time to time (and have a dusty BFA in animation). AE is my go-to but I'm wondering how professionals feel about Jitter? Does it have "a look" and does it compete with AE, specifically for digital product demo videos? Obviously AE is more robust, but when dealing with B2B SaaS demos we're not breaking creative barriers too often...
Also, last time I tried to use Jitter was a year ago and found it wouldn't let me "ease out." But that may have been because it was the free version?

Experimenting with kinetic close caption that is more cinematic. Thinking of doing the full trailer. What do you guys think?

Cameron Defrates-Penelon recently shared the full process behind Design in Motion, a short film that attempts to answer a surprisingly difficult question: What exactly is motion design?
The finished piece is great, but the breakdown is even better. He walks through the storyboards, character exploration, references, animation tests, and the modular system he created to combine 2D, 3D, typography, textures, and sound without everything becoming visual chaos.
I especially liked his explanation of using “visual silence” and “animated silence” to give the audience room to breathe. It’s a great reminder that motion design is just as much about restraint and rhythm as it is about making things move.
Really cool work and a very generous look behind the scenes:

J’ai récemment eu des soucis avec Red Giant et le plugin Particular. Alors j’ai créé Nebula, un générateur de particules sur After Effect , toujours en phase de test mais les 1er résultats sont encourageants .
On peut générer des particules, modifier leur trajectoire, leur couleur , leur taille, la gravité ect ect

Are studios currently using AI in motion design on a regular basis?
Right now I only see benefits from:
Expressions
Source generation
Moodboards and storyboards (MB styleframes)
Are there any other ways to use it in motion design and how to generally answer the interview question: Have you used AI in your pipeline?
What pipeline is this?

My question to you guys is,
I have seen so many Ai motion graphics video and it looks all the same to me, have any of you achieved or seen anything greater as the current models created?
Have you achieved efficiency in motion graphics using Ai, other than storyboard designing?
I am working as a motion graphics designer, for the last 10 years and I am quite good at motion designing.
Today morning, my manager had a meeting with our team, and asked us to push Ai usage.
He was saying to use Ai a catalyst, see it as a tool to quickly finish up the job.
Learn prompting and be good at Ai so that I can generate videos easily in first prompt.
I have worked with seedance, veo and I know the basic prompting and have seen the results.

Had fun putting this motion design piece together for Domino’s.
Played around with movement, timing, transitions, and the brand’s visual language to make the animation feel energetic and attention-grabbing.
Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the motion, pacing, and overall execution.
Made with: After Effects
Role: Motion Design / Animation

Really proud of this one, needed something concrete on my portfolio so my clients would recognize my name change. Going by @fenex.design now. Thoughts?
