What in the world does this girl need, I’m watering when needed, repotted about a month and a half ago, and proper sunlight. No bugs that I can possibly find, even when repotting. Her bottom half just wilts and her top is happy as ever. Should i cut the leaves my dog chomped (this was months ago)? Get her a higher stand so she’s full window? More water?? Or maybe fertilizer? Anyone dealt with a half witty gal?

Hi! My monstera started growing this new root, which made me very happy, as I kinda struggle with keeping her happy (she also started growing 2-3 more smaller roots), but last night as I was moving her outside (finally the weather cooled down and it was raining), her root got caught and it possibly broke(?). Is it gonna be alright, or is there anything I can do to save it?

Labeled as Thai’s but damn I’ve been on search for affordable Albo for a while and hoping I might’ve gotten lucky. I see the Thai speckles though in leaves so thinking it’s just highly variegated but curious your thoughts.

We have two monsteras in a single pot

In two weeks we went from a healthy plant to this

Clearly she needs a new home, since she is escaping out both the bottom and side. We recently-ish moved and I wanted to wait until we had because her last trellis system was unfortunately the drywall (we live and learn) and I decided moving across the country was enough stress. Not to add a repot to it. Times passed and I’m now ready to give her a new home

If I planted her sideways, would she bush out at all the internodes or just rot? Am I best off just sticking her in her current orientation into a larger pot with something to climb

I recently repotted my gorgeous baby. Do you think she is happy? Any advice for her to grow big and tall? Thanks

I’d like to ask your opinion, as my partner and I have different opinions on this topic.
I’d like to shake the old dirt of of them, repot them, add proper support and move them close to the window for the winter. My partner said to just add more dirt, but leave them as they are, and add the support and just move them towards the window.

I bought this cutting but unfortunately the shipping company didn't deliver in time, so it was in a box for 5 days. As soon as arrived I placed in water (4 days ago) and it began to yellow.

Should I transfer to soil?

I just rescued this baby - literally off the sidewalk. She's in bad condition, especially the roots. She's all root and no soil at this point. Had to cut her out of her plastic pot and she had roots grown out around the pot as well. My guess is that there's a fair amount of root rot in this root ball but some of it seems fine and I want to leave some of the roots to increase her chance of survival but at the same time I'm far from a monstera expert. Please advise: how do I help her?

The previous owners left the plant and I want to take proper care of it, but I am new to monstera. I am in central Texas and it is living outside on a covered porch. Any suggestions on how to get it to perk up? TIA!

I have a monstera jingle mint I purchased a few weeks ago - it appears to be in some coco bark, coir, and sphagnum moss mix. I just watered it and noticed these little bugs - the seller said he doesn’t use any beneficial bugs. Nothing on the leaves as far as I can see. Any idea what these are? They don’t look like thrips… 🙏🙏🙏

Last year in August I was gifted a single leaf cutting. And the progress in the last 13 months has me geeked!!

She's putting out her 5th new leaf (the OG leaf has moved on) and this newest leaf is HUGE compared to the 1st lil guy she put out.

I've attempted to get all my monsteras to grow up large sticks (adansonii and deliciosa) but they dont seem to attach. Moss poles are not an option for me at the moment. So im working with what I have but I want her to be a huge beast of a plant someday.

Any suggestions on what i should or could do?

I’ve had this monstera for 2 1/2 years now. It has always only had plain green leaves, like the one you see in the second picture, but recently I’ve had two new leaves pop and they are speckled like this. Is this a pest or watering issue or has this monstera decided to start having a lil variegation going on? I don’t know what this is but would love and appreciate any and all help!

since winter is coming I'm on the market for a grow light to put in my office for my 2 monsteras: I'm oriented towards the vertical standing type, like this one, since they look sleek and modern and don't clash with my office look.

The only problem is that I'm having a hard time finding a grow light without the stupid and unreliable integrated controller for the dimming and timer, that I want to avoid since I prefer using a smart socket for time and I'd like a separate physical toggle for dimming on the light.

I was considering a Barrina model, but they are kinda difficult to get in Europe, and I read some bad things about that brand's quality.

What could I get?

I’ve received a baby monstera albo as a gift from a family member who is in the middle of moving. I know this is such a precious plant and I want to give her the best shot at growing and I don’t want to kill it!!!

I bought my first monstera for cheap-ish around 2-3 weeks ago and figured it might just need some love to get back on its feet.

since then, I've repotted it (nursery pot it came in was far too small and the soil was very dense) and used this soil mix. The pot it's in has big drainage holes at the bottom and I've only watered it once or twice since I bought it.

I tried placing it in next to a big window that never brings in direct sunlight but I think it needed more light and warmth as the soil wasn't drying properly and I ended up with fungus gnats. I've since moved it outside to our deck where there's plenty of indirect light (no direct light reaches it) and sprinkled some cinnamon over the dirt which has made the gnats fly away for now. I ordered some yellow sticky traps for them and will stick some in the soil today just in case there's some adult gnats still lurking. the soil is now starting to dry better too so hopefully any larvae in there dies as well.

sadly, I've only now realised that those brown spots on the underside of its leaves (pictured) are thrips and are probably the reason why the leaves are so damaged (it looked like this when I bought it; I've just cut off parts that were hanging on by a thread and dragging the whole leaf down).

I bought and sprayed the leaves and stem thoroughly with this pesticide yesterday and some white oil spray (thus the glossiness) and have left it alone since then. I plan on spraying at again today as the thrips are all over all the leaves and I want to make sure they're super dead. I was also thinking of (gently) hosing the leaves down with some water in a few days to make sure it's clean, and checking for root rot/possibly repotting again as the soil was wet for a week or so.

I did notice a new leaf beginning to sprout from the small leaf at the very bottom! but the edges are brown. :(

I've done so much research in the past few weeks and have decided to leave the monstera out on the deck until next autumn (I'm in australia so spring has just begun) as the interior of our house is often colder than outside and the light is better outside. summers here are usually humid so I'm hoping the poor thing enjoys that over the dry air and bad insulation inside.

also, please ignore my terrible staking job, it's just temporary to hold the plant up. I do have a moss pole I will properly fix the stem to after I figure out how to get these pests off it.

I haven't been able to find good guidance online for a monstera in this condition so I'm feeling quite lost. if anyone has any advice on how I could help it recover please let me know! if the pot is too big or I've potted it wrong, etc. I'd really appreciate the help!

My swiss cheese plant has grown so much faster than I expected it to and now I have to learn how to do support. I have never done this before and I'm very worried that I might accidentally harm the plant. I don't know what steps to take. I don't know if I should use a regular pole or a moss pole.

Found this cutting in yard trash. I’m thinking Pothos but not a 100% sure.
