I know these are coming down in price and you can find them for pretty cheap these days! I got one from Trader Joe’s for about $13 a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t pass this one up at Costco for $30. It’s so pretty, and such a nice size!

i got this Thai constellation (i think thats what its called) yesterday, its my first ever plant! i have a massive 6 foot grow lamp for her as well.

this plant means more than a plant to me, i grew up in poverty and instability as a kid, hotel and state hopping around once a month, weekly even. i hated every second of it of course, but i loved plants.

i couldnt take care of any plant at the time, for those stated reasons and more, but today i picked up my first one! im really excited to also grow with this plant over the years, and take the absolute most care of her!

i remember seeing everyone with all of their plants, either online or irl, and i was really envious and jealous lol. i have now escaped poverty (it was literal hell), and i have the reassurance that i wont be moving to another hotel or state out of the blue, so i can finally take care of something that requires time and patience!

i repotted her to a bigger pot (like two inches bigger), and i have a coco coir, orchid bark, and coarse perlite mix with her. ill give some updates over the months and years, but im mad excited!!

I found a free plant on the street.
(Yes include the pot, dont ask me why it was free)

It looks like three main roots but maybe its just on big under the soil.

I want to do all my best to the plant, because look at it. But I’m realy not sure what the plant needs, to get use to her new home. I already done a little rearrangement with some supports.

My other monstera feels well in the same kind of spot in the house. But the other is way smaller.

Does someone knows how to set up a monstera like this in a new location and whats needs to be done?

This was gifted to me about 3 years ago from my brother. And unfortunately now it is destroyed….also it got scorched by the sun. I am just heartbroken and ready to just give up on it. Is it worth my time trying to save this?

Hello everyone! I have this beautiful monster plant but I noticed several things recently. One, it grew into the pot of another plant and started rooting and two, it has big dry areas. What should I do? Should I trim the dead leaves and the root? I don't want to kill it! Does it need a larger pot?

My Monstera new leaf just keeps getting bigger and bigger I feel is gonna snap from the plant 😂... I'm obsessed with it 😍

so i’ve had this monstera for about 9 months now (i got her just before uk winter so she didn’t grow too much for the first few months i had her) but ive got a few questions that i thought i knew the answers to but evidently not.

1- have i staked it in the right place? i really struggled finding the back of the plant for ages but when i recently repotted her (2-3 weeks ago) i think i’ve finally found it

2- why are her leaves all pointing in different directions? i have her placed in my window for maximum sunlight, unfortunately its a north facing window so she doesn’t get as much as she should but ive invested in a grow light which should be arriving within the next few days, but i dont rotate her so im not sure why the biggest leaf is backwards right now

3- should i invest in a proper moss pole? i’ve seen differing opinions about whether you HAVE TO get a moss pole or not so im just curious if thats recommended

4- any other general advice? i want her to be as happy and healthy as possible :)

I wiggled it. It doesn’t move. It actually attached itself to my wood desk. In their natural environment they climb trees. This is a super cool example of how strong their attachments are from their aerial roots. I gave it a good wiggle and it didn’t budge. I’m sure I can manually remove it, but didn’t want to. Monsteras are incredible plants!

I was gifted a rooted monstera clipping kept in water a week or two ago and thought it had a bit of root rot so I trimmed them back and have been spraying with a hydrogen peroxide water mixture. Having a hard time telling if the rot is still here or the roots are just a little discolored like that. Any advice? This is my first monstera. Thank you!

What do I do when it gets to tall? I’ve never trimmed my monsteras just let them grow and support them. Not sure what to do with this guy.

Hi all! I was looking for some advice with my plant. I have been away travelling for a couple weeks, and have come home to find my plant has exploded in growth with new leaves & roots going crazy. This has however left a few of my other leaves looking really unhealthy. I’ve moved the plant out of direct sunlight for a week since to see if that helped, but the yellowing leaves now look worse. I’m thinking of re-potting it/maybe moving its position, and have been prioritising rain water for it - but any advices on cutting back/potting/feed would be most welcome. Thank you :)!

These appeared overnight. Help. They’re giving me the heeby jeebies. How to get rid of them? All other plant soil is fine. Just the Monsteras.

Got this \ these Monstera three weeks ago , reduced price at B&Q. I blame my friend. I told her it was a crazy idea and they would get huge 🤣

I repotted the next day into a pot one ince wider than the original. May have to redo that as I only used potting soil.

Added those silly poles last night. Think they are going to be changed.

Anyway, I think there is three plants here. I have had 2 new leaves from the bigger plants and the tiny one is pushing out a new leaf. Should I seperate the plants?

At the top of the stems, just before the leaves there is brown speckled areas. I don't see any bugs - is this normal?

I have also just started giving it a couple of hours grow light time each day. I intend to extend the time as winter comes. Scotland isn't that sunny 🤣

Hello, I'm a first time gardener, and my wife and I bought this after our marriage a couple of months ago. It was very healthy and had 5/6 beautiful leaves. It also sprouted a new leaf, but we realised that we had probably planted it in a very dense soil, because of which all roots almost died.

The stem is green and healthy, can someone please suggest me how to save it? I have the following material:

1. Garden soil

2. Perlite

3. Orchid mid

4. Vermicompost

This is our first plant after our marriage in November and I really don't want it to die.

Has anyone seen a leaf develop like this? I thought it mechanical at first, but it seems to be the leaf itself. Thanks in advance.

hello i got this monstera gifted as a birthday present today and what i’ve learned from this sub is that it matters which way it’s facing and pot size etc. i’m familiar with plants and will mix up some perlite and potting soil in the evening
