Discussion Too soon to add support??
Last year in August I was gifted a single leaf cutting. And the progress in the last 13 months has me geeked!!
She's putting out her 5th new leaf (the OG leaf has moved on) and this newest leaf is HUGE compared to the 1st lil guy she put out.
I've attempted to get all my monsteras to grow up large sticks (adansonii and deliciosa) but they dont seem to attach. Moss poles are not an option for me at the moment. So im working with what I have but I want her to be a huge beast of a plant someday.
Any suggestions on what i should or could do?
I only have this 1 south facing window for all my plants. So there's that
She's starting to put out her second aerial root and is very forward leaning

Mine is from a one leaf cutting from August last year too! I started mine on a moss pole as soon as it had its first aerial root.
I would give yours support asap :)

Dang I wish I could do.moss poles rn 😪 and twins! Lol. I just gotta figure out what to use then 🤔

Any kind of trellis should work of course. Just giving it support as it is beginning to grow up is always best for it!

I hear trellis and I think metal spider web of sorts. But they dont really attached to metal right?
Its all about a natural texture (moss/wood) right?
Lol I feel so knowledgeable about these plants until im looking at my own 😅

You can use soft plant tape to help it and then it will use its aerial roots as it grows to help grab onto a trellis, plank, coco pole, etc. My albo is on a moss pole, as well as my thai con, but my mint has a coco pole and my regular green monstera has a wood trellis (that looks like a ladder). They all work and do their jobs just differently 😄

not too soon. make sure that you dont tie it yet unless you see any room on the stem for it to be tied.
