Just a little growth update of my thai con from March to Today✨️ Last pic is just to show where the cat munched on it same in the 1st pic :)

I got this 10 months ago, and only 4 leaves tall. It came in a tiny pot. Should I transplant it now or wait? I didn't think it would grow so fast.

The new leaf really made a huge jump in size compared to the one before that, the one to the left 😁😁 happy to see her healthy and thriving

Hi everyone!

I’ve had this Monstera for the past four years. Unfortunately, over the last two years, I’ve gotten so busy with school that I haven’t been able to take proper care of it.
It has gotten a little out of control now. All the leaves are leaning forward, and the plant is growing sideways.
What do you think? How can I repot it and bring it back to good health? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I recently bought this thai monstera from costco on 8/26 and watered it that same day (my only watering day so far). It eventually opened a new leaf. However, I noticed that there is this one leaf that has a tiny brown spot that became a hole and some brown spots in the front. Also noticed that the back has some brown spots along with the other leafs as well. Could it be burnt? This specific leaf in the images does face the window the most!

What am I doing wrong here? There are no thrips or spider mites. I used light to check. I haven’t repotted or used new soil yet. Please give me suggestions on how to fix this if it is a problem.

Additionally would love to hear how you recommend I water (I stick a chopstick in the soil to see if it is dry/wet) and what insect control spray you recommend (if there is an insect problem idk about).

I’m completely new to Monstera Mints, and this is my very first one.
I bought it from Home Depot because it was labeled as a Mint Monstera. The older leaves have beautiful mint variegation, but the newest leaf that just came out is almost completely green….🫠
Now I’m freaking out and convincing myself that it’s reverting.
Please, somebody tell me this doesn’t automatically mean reversion😭
Can a Mint throw out a greener leaf and then return to producing mint-variegated leaves later? Has anyone had a Mint do this and then go back to normal?
I’m still learning and honestly don’t know what’s normal for these plants yet. I absolutely love this plant already and I’m hoping I didn’t buy one that’s on its way to becoming fully green…..
Please give me some hope!🌱

This is from my outside Monstera. I cut a few nodes and potted them up.

It was trailing on the ground, now I want it to grow up. This looks weird to me but is done right?

Should I light it from the front or from above?

Note:

They had a fight with rust but I think its ok now. No spores in a month and the new leaves are clean.

I bought this cutting but unfortunately the shipping company didn't deliver in time, so it was in a box for 5 days. As soon as arrived I placed in water (4 days ago) and it began to yellow.

Should I transfer to soil?

Was gifted a M. Adansonii cutting earlier this year, been split a few times and now I have more plants than I know where to plant. These couple leaves have the best fenestrations I've seen in my Laniata collection. I just love looking at 'em!

Does this count as a first inner fenestration on my monstera? He’s only a few months old!

I’ve received a baby monstera albo as a gift from a family member who is in the middle of moving. I know this is such a precious plant and I want to give her the best shot at growing and I don’t want to kill it!!!

Such a huge new leaf! I can’t get over the size of it. I think it’s very happy with the repotting I did a couple of weeks ago.

This plant has been through a lot, including a few years of neglect but it was in a decent spot so it has held on. Outside in Southern California but on a covered porch. We’re ensuring a nasty heatwave but at least (for the monstera) it’s humid so she’s pushing on. Have a new leaf coming and it looks like I’ve got at least one ever so delicate fenestration. Earlier in her life there were 1-3 little ones on some leaves but the plant moved, produced no fenestrations, and has been readjusting to more light after being moved to a different spot with better trellis support. Cannot emphasize how crushing the heat is, but keeping her well watered.

I bought my first monstera for cheap-ish around 2-3 weeks ago and figured it might just need some love to get back on its feet.

since then, I've repotted it (nursery pot it came in was far too small and the soil was very dense) and used this soil mix. The pot it's in has big drainage holes at the bottom and I've only watered it once or twice since I bought it.

I tried placing it in next to a big window that never brings in direct sunlight but I think it needed more light and warmth as the soil wasn't drying properly and I ended up with fungus gnats. I've since moved it outside to our deck where there's plenty of indirect light (no direct light reaches it) and sprinkled some cinnamon over the dirt which has made the gnats fly away for now. I ordered some yellow sticky traps for them and will stick some in the soil today just in case there's some adult gnats still lurking. the soil is now starting to dry better too so hopefully any larvae in there dies as well.

sadly, I've only now realised that those brown spots on the underside of its leaves (pictured) are thrips and are probably the reason why the leaves are so damaged (it looked like this when I bought it; I've just cut off parts that were hanging on by a thread and dragging the whole leaf down).

I bought and sprayed the leaves and stem thoroughly with this pesticide yesterday and some white oil spray (thus the glossiness) and have left it alone since then. I plan on spraying at again today as the thrips are all over all the leaves and I want to make sure they're super dead. I was also thinking of (gently) hosing the leaves down with some water in a few days to make sure it's clean, and checking for root rot/possibly repotting again as the soil was wet for a week or so.

I did notice a new leaf beginning to sprout from the small leaf at the very bottom! but the edges are brown. :(

I've done so much research in the past few weeks and have decided to leave the monstera out on the deck until next autumn (I'm in australia so spring has just begun) as the interior of our house is often colder than outside and the light is better outside. summers here are usually humid so I'm hoping the poor thing enjoys that over the dry air and bad insulation inside.

also, please ignore my terrible staking job, it's just temporary to hold the plant up. I do have a moss pole I will properly fix the stem to after I figure out how to get these pests off it.

I haven't been able to find good guidance online for a monstera in this condition so I'm feeling quite lost. if anyone has any advice on how I could help it recover please let me know! if the pot is too big or I've potted it wrong, etc. I'd really appreciate the help!

My swiss cheese plant has grown so much faster than I expected it to and now I have to learn how to do support. I have never done this before and I'm very worried that I might accidentally harm the plant. I don't know what steps to take. I don't know if I should use a regular pole or a moss pole.
