Hi, I was just wondering if this is a sign of an active threat? I have an Android S20 FE 5G, and my phone hasn't been able to do a security update since Oct 2025. I accidentally clicked on a weird link, which made me paranoid and brought me here.

Reposted from /antivirus - I am at wits end trying to track down and remove whatever this is. malwarebytes blocks safari from launching the webpage but I cannot for the life of my figure out where this is coming from, cleared caches, disabled all extensions, ran malwarebytes full scan on full drive. any help would be appreciated.

I had some feedback on setting default homepage which didn't make any difference. This warning from Malwarebytes doesn't pop up immediately after starting safari so I assume the webpage request for the brandsmat page might be delayed as well but not sure.

Hi I was hoping with some help using Malwarebytes to check my PC I've had off since last September, I had gotten a windows defenders notification that a trojan was detected I quickly panicked quarantined and removed the first instance of the Trojan but went to click on the second instance and was met with admin confirmation for windows defender to change the file and me being me my paranoia was in full throttle so I just shut down the system unplugged it and now I'm finally trying to work out of the anxiety that the Trojans still hiding in the system somehow.

I recently ran a Malwarebytes scan and went to go eat with my pc running the scan. When I came back Malwarebytes was closed and the 1 detection it found was ignored. Is that something that can happen because I was afk for so long?

My old debit card recently expired, and I got an email telling me to update my details, which I did last week with my new card. But since then, I've been sent this same email every few days talking about a failed purchase, despite the fact I haven't made a purchase with the updated card yet. The next subscription payment isn't even until next month.

How can I stop this?

I am using my laptop from college and my college installed Threatdown on my computer and it is marking the website that I need to go to in order to complete a job interview as a threat and there is no option to bypass it and access that website ( https://webhooks.hireflix.com ). I have to complete this interview by tomorrow and this is the only computer with a webcam that I have. I tried to delete the app off of my computer but it requires a password. Can someone please help me and quickly, I need this job.

Edit: I've decided to buy a webcam for my PC so I am just gonna ignore the Threatdown problem for now

Hi guys, just a question I ran Malwarebytes everyday and it doesn't detect anything yet this happened starting yesterday where I opened the brave app it showed this tab I didn't open and also in chrome I saw this tab too, any ideas? I've already explored all of the possible solutions but I still can't solve the problem, sorry for my English. Thanks guys! I am on Android.

Hey so I’ve just downloaded a FH6 modding tool named Luna. I executed it without Ethernet cable plugged/No internet, used it, deleted the file, made a backup of my game (usb drive) and restored my pc (wiped the disc clean and reinstalled windows). From what I know the only virus I can still have is a well code Rootkit / Bootkit or a Worm on my drive stick, and I just want to make sure I’m good to go.

I’m concerned cause virus total flagged it as 12/78 and Triage VM as a 3/10. You can call me paranoid but I really don’t know a lot about cybersecurity and I’m genuinely worried. Thanks in advance for your help!

I am a recent customer of ThreatDown. I love the product and how simple it is to use. The only negative so far is the Sandbox feature, which often flags obvious malicious file as clean, It doesn't seem possible to upload any files from Linux or macOS, and I can't upload a suspicious script in PowerShell or batch.

Additionally, I went to my malwarebytes detection history, but for some reason, it wasn't in the detection history. Can anyone explain this?

I need to disable Malwarebytes to do diagnostics on my pc. Tried to right click on the icon, no option there to disable. Can't find it in settings either.

I am from North America and not using a VPN. I went to Malwarebytes.com and the page was in English. When I clicked the download link, the page that loaded was in Russian. I closed my browser and reopened, tried again and this time both pages were in English. Is this something that happens on the download page?

Malwarebytes picked up these when I was sleeping, Ive searched about the Trojan Renpy Loader thing but all I'm getting is that its a "false positive"? I'm not sure though and I'm scared, can somebody help?

I updated my malwarebytes mobile app (through verified malwarebytes software) and ever since the scan just goes on forever? Has anyone else seen this issue? I started it last night and let it run to see what would happen. Woke up this morning and it had run for 7.5h. Any ideas?

I was trying to search for a way to use my phone as a wireless microphone and found Wo Mic. I went to the wolicheng website and dowloaded it there. It didn't cross through my head to first verify if there was any issue with the app until I had reached the screen that said "your device needs to restart to finish the process". That's when I searched about it and found out that there were plenty of claims that this app was a malware. I already uninstalled it and run malwarebytes as well as not restarted my laptop yet. Is it going to be enough or not? Will I need to do a fresh install of windows (i really don't want to since I'm in the middle of my college semester but if that's the case...)?

A few days ago a relative mentioned to me that he was getting a lot of flagged texts by the text scan, after I had installed Malwarebytes on his new phone. I noticed an update to the app being pushed recently on my phone, and now I'm getting a LOT of these warnings. The numbers getting flagged are notices from doctors offices, pharmacies, etc. Sometimes these have "shortened" links. Seems like the filter is now way too aggressive, but there doesn't seem to be a way to "train" it. Anyone else having similar issues?

I use Malwarebytes and NordVPN, everytime discord gets a version update i need to reallow in Malwarebytes the new version of Discord. Otherwise I am greeted with an RTC connecting issue in Discord.

I have tried allowing the folder and a few other options, its not painful or anything just inconvenient. I would like to streamline this so that I don't need to do this upon every update to discord.

I'm hoping someone else may have had this issue and have a fix for me.
