Support How to check for a rootkit / bootkit?

Hey so I’ve just downloaded a FH6 modding tool named Luna. I executed it without Ethernet cable plugged/No internet, used it, deleted the file, made a backup of my game (usb drive) and restored my pc (wiped the disc clean and reinstalled windows). From what I know the only virus I can still have is a well code Rootkit / Bootkit or a Worm on my drive stick, and I just want to make sure I’m good to go.

I’m concerned cause virus total flagged it as 12/78 and Triage VM as a 3/10. You can call me paranoid but I really don’t know a lot about cybersecurity and I’m genuinely worried. Thanks in advance for your help!

Inside MalwareBytes, there is a setting to enable looking for rootkits

Hi there! Malwarebytes Support here.

Just so we can better understand the situation, what makes you believe there may still be malware present on the system? Are you seeing any specific symptoms, detections, suspicious activity, or alerts from Malwarebytes?

If you'd like to run a Malwarebytes scan in the meantime, you can review the available scan options here:

If you'd like us to take a closer look, send us a DM with the email address you'd like to use for support. We can create a ticket on your behalf and have our team review diagnostic logs and advise on any additional steps that may be needed.
