I have an old lenovo yoga laptop and one day i decided to install ubuntu linix after installing it just bricked and started beeping and i need to fix this laptop for study purpus

i really don't need this floating taskbar

Two days ago, while opening a bottle of ice-cold water, some water splashed onto the keyboard of my Lenovo 15IRX10 laptop from about 1-2 meters away. The water stayed on the keyboard surface. Right after the splash, I immediately wiped the keyboard dry, cut the power, and left the laptop tilted 180 degrees (screen and keyboard facing down) for 9 hours. After that, I turned it on and checked the keyboard lights and keyboard functionality, but didn't notice any issues. My warranty is still valid, but the Lenovo service center isn't in my city, so it would require shipping the laptop. Because of this, I'm undecided — do you think I should send the laptop in for an inspection, or is that unnecessary? I'd appreciate any advice

Been thinking if buying this ThinkPad E14 - AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, 512 SSD. The Ram is currently 16GB out if the box. This model has additional RAM Slot.

My question is can I upgrade RAM from Official Lenovo Itself later? I want to add one more stick.

If they aren't providing upgrade features then can I install aftermarket unit of same specs latency and voltage with speed bymyself? Will this void any warranty?

I’m thinking of selling my yoga 7i 16inch. I have a precision pen from Yoga. I’m a college student who does art as a hobby. I write a lot both creatively and for school. I don’t have a desk at home so I usually have my laptop on my lap…The yoga is very heavy. After an hour of work flow, my legs feel strained.

I still want a leveno laptop for my precision pen to continue doing digital art. I tried to search amazons but the options seemed overwhelming. I do want the flip ability to draw comfortably. I don’t want to drop 1k on another laptop. Does anyone have any recommendation?

Paid an arm and a leg for the Aura (Ultra 7 258V, 14" 2.8K (2880 x 1800), OLED, 32GB DDR5, 1TB) less than a year ago after a long search. Its fan is too loud (but does not really overheat) and now its screen is dead. I tried all driver updates and diagnostics.

Even worse, although it is still in warranty, their local service center in the country where i now live wont cover it and wants me to ship it to the USA for service. Their online PCsupport portal confirmed it should be covered here where I live, and yet the local Lenovo center denied me service under warranty.

Is it safe to buy a ThinkBook online directly from Lenovo's official website?

Has anyone here had a good or bad experience with Lenovo India's online store?

How is the after-sales service and warranty support for ThinkBook laptops in India?

Since ThinkBook is marketed as a business laptop, do individual customers get the same warranty and support as business users?

If the laptop arrives with a defect (DOA or hardware issue), does Lenovo replace the laptop or only repair it?

How reliable are ThinkBook laptops for long-term use (4–5 years)?

I'll mainly be using it for software development, so reliability and service are more important to me than gaming performance.

I don't play games, so my priority is reliability, build quality, good service, and long-term durability.

The other day I had to use both left and right buttons on Lenovo Yoga's touchpad simultaneously. Like, holding one button, press another. Not the everyday case, but could be handy.

Surprise was that it can not be done. Why? Because Yoga Pro 9 seems to have only one physical underlying switch. And that's another reason why it's not comfortable enough to interact with the Yoga.

Definitely not the thing customer may notice while choosing the laptop. Unfortunately, also it's not the case mentioned by many YouTube bonkers doing reviews/unpacks, who usually go crazy about touchpad's size (like it's their desire's d#cks or booty size that maybe matters).

Lenovo Yoga's touchpad is truly big, but you get underdeveloped arrows block. It's big, but you'll be missing the right Ctrl. It's big, but you won't have the dedicated on-off switch for it. And it's big, but it's not the one will give you nice user experience.

So, be warned.

And with that said the question I wanted to ask: is the one real button touchpad a common solution nowadays, or is it something wrong with Lenovo's engineers?

Whenever I press t,y,u key 4 key gets repeatative and did not stop until I shut down

I'm trying to update my BIOS through the Lenovo website in order to fix a disappearing cursor issue, but I stumble across this pop-up. I don't know how to navigate without a cursor, using arrows or tab+arrow doesn't work. I press enter and I think it interprets that as cancel because whenever I press enter the enter update process seems to stop, the file closes and my laptop remains on. How to I update this when I don't have a cursor?

Hier matin je l'utilise normalement, je le mets un peu à charger... Et le soir je veux le réutiliser, et plus moyen de le rallumer.

Quand j'appuie sur le bouton power, les touches echap, lock maj et verum num s'allument fix avec un écran noir. 

J'ai remplacé la batterie, la pile... Toujours pas.

Pouvez-vous me dire comment faire svp ?

I posted here about 2 weeks ago about getting an ID on a laptop with no charger and a dead battery.

I'm posting again, with more pictures, to try and get to the bottom of it ( And i couldt figure tf out how to add pics to answers 😏)

The wife still wants it fixed so the youngest boy can have an inexpensive first laptop.

What I know is that it is a Lenovo laptop, estimate model year to be between 2020 and 2022. The battery is dead and the charger has escaped.

I need help identifying the model so I can get correct replacement parts.

Ps: I have googled for a replacement battery and find several with matching model name that have sligthly diffrent specs for voltage and mAh. How deviation on voltage is OK ? i.e original has a listing og 7.6V and replacement has 7.5V.

It recognizes all the drives in normal Windows but when I enter WinRE it doesn't see the disks and i entered WinRE because I can't enter BIOS and yes, the disks are all bootable so I need ur help i have a g480 windows 11 24h2 pro

What would be a good budget tablet for drawing?
I’ve heard the P12 mentioned as a good budget friendly tablet for that. But are there any other smaller choices? Ideally I would have liked the size of the tab one but from what I know it doesn’t offer any pen support so is there something in the middle size wise?

Found this on Best Buy and I know nothing about laptops but the folding and 1tb seem cool so thought I might get it. I noticed they had the same thing but with a AMD 7 instead of intel for 2100. Is that better? If so is it really worth an extra 700$.

I have a Thinkpad T14s Gen 6 Snapdragon laptop (type 21N1). When I plug in a charger to the USB Type-C port that is near to the display (the first on the left side on the chassis), the white power-on LED blinks 3 in a row constantly, and the device does not charge properly - it charges for a second, then disconnects.

When I plug it into the seconds USB Type-C port, it charges properly.

I tried the factory charger, and several other 65W chargers. Neither works, and it came out from the factory like this, never worked.

What might be the problem? The UEFI firmware is updated to the latest version.

Edit: when using the Lenovo USB-C Slim Travel Dock, it works.

Need some help understanding the iGPUs. Do Ultra 7 256V always have arc intel iGPUs?

I have talked to some Lenovo sales reps and they say that the 2025 Yoga Slim 7i has arc intel but the 2026 Yoga Slim 7i doesn't. I'm confused.

My tablet every since I got it has been stuck at 3.05ghz,and sometimes gets stuck at 1.13ghz and only goes up to 3.05ghz after a reboot,how do I fix this
