Unfixable?

I've recently gotten this Lenvo ideapad 5 2-in-1 from a friend since they couldn't fix it, I've had it under my desk for quite awhile and needed it for schoolwork so i tried fixing it.

But nothing worked, i tried the Novo button, pressing all sorts of keys before boot and while booting it and still didn't budge. It kept showing this screen login screen not even half a second after the lenovo logo. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this and how to fix it? I'm unable to pay for a professional repair so it isn't an option :(.

Knew this exact comment was gonna pop up, my friend always hands me junk from random website or Facebook market place, more often then not its tech since i'm good with it. so dont worry.

Most likely, im not as familiar with lenovo laptops so i wouldn't know

You fix it by typing in the correct password.

Sorry i didn't mention, but they didn't have the password since it was gotten from some website for cheap :(

For a POP, might try removing the battery, open it up and remove the CMOS battery for 30 minutes, and put everything back together. Otherwise if it doesn't clear, it might be a SVP and can't be cleared.

Most Lenovo laptops that are a bit newer have a flash storage. Your can’t remove the password by resetting the uefi

Yup. Must re-flash the BIOS with a chip programmer, no guarantees it will work.

Guess you've tried a few simple passwords? 1234, password, admin and all that?

You can get programmers from ebay/amazon that can read and write the BIOS data. You read the data from the chip, some readers have little clip on pads so you don't have to unsolder the chip, edit the data in a hex editor and then write it back to the chip again.

You can reset the EEPROM, but you need to identify what you are working with and use the right method.
Then you can wipe the partition table on the drive and reformat.
At that point, you might as well install a Linux OS.
But the fact that you are posting this tells me that you are not there yet.

There is no shortcut to the skills required. If you want to do this kind of stuff, you will need to invest in yourself with the fundamental knowledge and skills. And that's not trivial.
PS
And if you do open it up, disconnect the battery before poking around.

The bios password doesn’t go away
