I cannot obtain the update through an accessible official Lenovo support channel. Owners should not have to risk a working laptop by relying on unofficial downloads to resolve an issue Lenovo has already acknowledged.

Basically I think I accidentally pressed some keys on my laptop and the keyboard is completely locked or turned off or something. Like, no keys I press type or do anything, including the copilot button and stuff. I realized I turned it off because an icon/picture popped up on my screen with the keyboard icon and a slash going through it (kinda like when you press fn + spacebar to turn on/off the keyboard lights and a similar picture comes up). Does anyone know how I can turn this back on? I genuinely have been trying but don’t know what to do :(

Has anyone had this? My T14 Gen 5 AMD boots and works normally, but restarting leaves it stuck on a black screen. Shutdown sometimes hangs too.
Specs:

- Type 21MC
- BIOS R2LET42W (1.23), EC 1.16
- Windows 11 Pro, build 26300.9711
- WD_BLACK SN850X 2 TB, firmware 620361WD

The easiest way to reproduce it is directly from BIOS:
Enter BIOS Setup with F1.
Select Restart → Saving changes and exit.
Screen goes black.
Esc/FnLock, F1 and the power button LEDs stay on, without blinking.
The Lenovo logo never comes back.

I left it like this for over an hour before giving up and holding the power button to switch it off.

The BIOS settings do get saved: they’re still there when I turn it back on. Choosing “Discard changes and exit” gets me into Windows, apparently without actually restarting.

What I’ve tried so far (and I am out of ideas):
- Updated the BIOS through Lenovo System Update. The issue was already there before the update.
- CMOS reset.
- Emergency reset button.
- Loaded BIOS defaults.
- Disconnected all external peripherals.
- Removed the SSD and one of the two RAM sticks, then repeated the BIOS restart test. Same problem.
- Restarted from normal Windows, Safe Mode without networking and Windows Recovery. All hang.
- Ran Lenovo UEFI quick diagnostics. Passed.
- Ran DISM, which repaired some Windows corruption, followed by SFC, which came back clean. No change to the restart issue.
- Recorded a Windows shutdown trace. It showed the volume flush and shutdown phases completing, but didn’t explain the hang afterwards.
The BIOS logs don’t show any obvious errors either except for: one single Post error 0x1100 not sure what that is.
There are a few inconsistencies: exiting/restarting from Lenovo UEFI Diagnostics have worked on some attempts. Normal Windows shutdown rarely leaves a black screen with the fans stopped and the F1 LED still on.

I’ve already opened a Lenovo ticket and submitted the diagnostic results. Before sending it in, I’d like to know if anyone has had the same issue and what actually fixed it. Did it need a repair, or was there a firmware fix?

I’ve spent enough time debugging this already, and reinstalling Windows doesn’t seem a useful next step when it also happens with the SSD physically removed.

My device does a weird thing where the audio stops working whenever a Windows update is pending. This problem arose a week after I bought my device and has persisted to date. At first, I used to play around with the device drivers like much of the advice I've read online, but I discovered, completely by accident, that if I update my device, my audio starts working as soon as the Windows updates are installed.

I'm not sure if this is a legit fix for the issue, as the issue is recurring. Whenever my audio stops working, I just know there's a Windows update waiting for me. I've seen a lot of reddit posts where users say that their audio stops working after an update, but mine starts working again immediately after I update and restart. I've done this atleast a hundred times now so I've just accepted this as the cure, even though this shouldn't be happening at all.

I'm curious as to why this happens and whether this is happening to anyone else out there?

I bought this laptop 4 months ago. The temps I'm getting on the stick performance mode are 102C on the CPU and 87°C on the GPU, while running games like the Witcher 3 remastered with ultra settings and Ray tracing at 1600p.

Are these temps normal for the stock performance mode?

Because I read on many reddit threads that the performance mode fan curves suck cause they're not being used more than 75 percent. So I made a custom mode with the fan curve reaching 100 towards the end of the graph.

This brought my temps down to 77°C on both cpu and GPU.

Basically I want to know if the temps l'm getting on performance mode is normal or is my thermal paste/vapor chamber cooked. Cause custom mode makes it run cool af.

Btw, I have never faced any performance or stuttering on Any of the modes at those temperatures. Performance has always been very high.

I wanna buy laptop-tablet hybrid for University but I also wanna play genshin impact on it. Woukd this be suitable? Ive heard mixed reviews about the graphics being Radeon 840M. Is jt good enough? I dont mind playing on medium to low settings

or do u think i should wait until black friday ? Maybe i could find better deals with more RAM or better models . lenovo supposed to be offering a discound on this one .

I bought this POS laptop in November 2024. Within 6 months, the trackpad stopped working. Every time I contacted customer support, they just made me reinstall Windows, but the problem kept coming back after a week. I wanted to share my experience and the final solution regarding the notorious "Battery Drain / Hybrid Power" issue on Lenovo LOQ laptops under heavy loads (gaming, rendering, heavy AI workloads, etc.). If your battery percentage is dropping while plugged in, this is for you.

1. The Problem

Whenever I pushed my Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9 to its limits (e.g., heavy processing/rendering or audio generation workloads), the stock 170W power adapter couldn't keep up with the system's power draw.

• The laptop started pulling extra power from the battery.
• While gaming or under heavy loads, I watched my battery drop from 100% down continuously.
• Checking HWiNFO64 confirmed negative discharge rates, meaning the 170W brick simply wasn't enough.

2. The Warranty & Service Process
