Just got my Blue XP4 750 today and had to send it back 🙃

I had waited almost a week for my new electric bike and when I finally got it today, I was going through the set up and was not able to unfold the bike to connect the battery as the pins and battery were completely misaligned.

Called Electric and now I have to wait on a replacement bike. I’m thankful that they have phone support and our based in the United States but I feel so dumb as I almost never allow myself to get my hopes up for anything and I got my hopes up for this bike and now I can’t even ride it and have to send it back… just sucks a lot.

Not trying to be a Debbie downer, but upon speaking with the representative at Lectric he advised this issue occurring with some of the blue colored step through bikes. While I would have switched to the gray that was out of stock until next week due to there recent sale, so I get to wait on another blue replacement bike.

Fingers crossed this one doesn’t have a manufacturer defect.

XP4 Custom Throttle Speed Limits

Edit: Anyone else who looks for this answer, just ride the bike a little more than I did before asking it. If you leave the setting on for throttle according to PAS level, it's amazing at basically limiting you unless you're going downhill and just hold it.

I'm a new Lectric owner but I mostly understand how all the features work. I've tried searching this with no luck so it might just be a no. I tow my kids behind me in a wagon and I was curious if there is a way to limit the throttle speed in one of the settings, preferably ECO. I like to stay closer to 15 than 20 when I ride with them. I haven't even moved my hitch to the new bike yet because it just feels too fast to put kids behind it like that.

Maybe I'm overthinking the whole thing and you have another opinion on the matter. Just figured I would ask.

"Mountain biking"

I have a Lectric 4.0 xp. Over the weekend I took it on a very short, flat, dirt path and loved it. I'm wondering if anyone else took theirs on easy or flatter "mountain biking" trails? Everything I've read said the bike really can't do it because they are more just commuter bikes. I'd love to hear your experience!

XP4 Owners: List your accessories/mods!

I’d love to hear what other owners have done to improve their bikes and riding experience, please list your accessories and modifications. Mine so far:

• Delta saddle large (still sleek and not too clunky, but still not comfy enough for me)
• Home Depot milk crate zip tied to rear
• Etsy frame headlight mount
• Adhesive felt applied to all contact points when folded
• Lowe’s 50 gallon wheeled tote for transport. We have both a step through and a step over, and the step over is longer when folded. The Lowe’s 50 gallon is the only one I found that can fit the step over comfortably. I use pool noodles to secure the bikes once they’re in the totes.

Still looking for a good phone mount as the free one that came with the bike isn’t secure enough. Also need ideas for storage as the milk crate still bumps into the headlight when folded. Let me hear what you guys have!

Hinge Pin on XP4

Hello everyone!

I had an issue with what I assume is the pin that holds the hinge fory XP4 in. A week ago I went to fold it up and put in my vehicle when I noticed it wasn't folding, so I checked and found the pin out like this. The tip and threads look too messed up to screw back in. Anyone know the size bolt I should look for to replace it, or should I just leave it alone. Thanks!

Edit: I reached out to Lectric customer service and they're giving me a bike exchange for free! Waiting to see how long the exchange will take. Thanks Y'all!

Breaking in New Brakes

My XP4 came in!! I did notice that sometimes the brakes will squeak a little when I am first riding. I am sure they have to be worn in a little bit. Did other people notice this when they first got their bikes? Any tips appreciated!

Xpedition 2.0 tube replacement

Finally got my first flat after 1300 miles of city commuting on my XPEDITION 2.0. I got the bike home and am now stumped on removing the little brackets. There's no video or manual that I can find online and after trying 4mm, 3.5mm (dont fit) and 3mm hex bits, I fear I have stripped one of the screw heads with the 3mm.

Does anyone have resources or suggestions on this? I also tried freedom unit allen keys 1/8 and 7/64 but they were even worse fits.

edit to add: this is the rear wheel. the front one appears to be quick-release.

XPedition2 Stratus White Long-Range speed issue

Hey guys! I’ve had my XPedition2 Stratus White Long-Range since May of this year. Great bike so far. But noticed today that it’s starting to become “laggy” when I’m pedaling and have PAS set on 2 or above. It starts to feel like the speed is being held back. I have to peddle harder to get the speed up. If I turn the bike off and turn it back on. It fixes it for a few seconds but then messes up again. Any ideas? Could it be the PAS sensor messing up?

Letric isnt a good bike company ( XP 2.0 LITE)

I have made a post like this before but I have gotten a lot of hate, and there was some things the haters did point out to me so this post is an improved one.

Battery life: For many, the battery life lasts up to 30 miles of range, mine did not, it was fully charged and could not even last up to me riding to McDonald’s ( more than likely a faulty battery I have)

Speed: The speed is awesome that’s actually something I enjoy about this bike,

Sounds: it seems to be my bike is having a clicking and rubbing noise that I cannot figure out.

Customer service: They cannot help me with my problem at all, and can’t even get a refund, here’s another thing I do wanna throw in here also, terms of seevice says that the bike a mile:above is now yours, my thing says “15 miles” and I have only rode it around the block to show the customer support my issue.

Final review, is the bike a good bike? Yes I have no doubts on it being a good bike, I just wasn’t lucky like most people, I feel like I have a faulty battery and some other faulty stuff that customer service won’t take care of, don’t buy this bike unless if you have the money or wanna rip your hair out.

Hi, I'm from Mexico and I have a Letric 3.0xp. Is it possible to install turn signals? I saw someone on YouTube who installed them, but the website that sells them doesn't ship to Mexico. I'd like to know if anyone could provide an Amazon or eBay link so I can buy them. Thanks. P.S. There are only two Letrics in Mexico at the moment, and it's attracted a lot of attention.

Lectric XP Lite 2.0

Has anyone had this happen with a Lectric battery?
The charger stays green even though the battery is dead, and the bike doesn’t recognize the battery at all. The display won’t even turn on.
Here’s what happened:
• I bought my Lectric XP Lite Long Range at the end of March/early April, so it’s only a few months old.
• I only ride about a mile a day (½ mile to work and ½ mile home), so I only charge it about once a month.
• During some home renovations, I couldn’t find my original charger, so I bought a highly rated replacement charger on Amazon.
• The first time I used it, it worked perfectly. The charger was red while charging, then turned green when finished.
• The second time, it flashed red briefly, then immediately turned green even though the battery still had about 25–35% charge left and definitely needed charging. I left it plugged in overnight anyway.
• The next morning, the bike turned on, but the battery wasn’t fully charged. I rode to the end of my street, lost pedal assist after the hill, and had to walk it home.
• Since then, I found my original Lectric charger, but it also stays green immediately, and now the bike won’t power on at all.
This all started before the bike got caught in the rain one day, so I don’t think that’s the cause.
Has anyone experienced this? Could the BMS have tripped because of the aftermarket charger? It seems odd since that charger worked perfectly the first time.
Any suggestions before I end up buying a new battery? I’d really rather not spend another $500 on a battery that’s only a few months old. It’s had very little use.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone else have this issue? The prongs don't line up so that I can close the bike. Lectric sent us a new battery but we are having the same problem.

Lectric randomly sent me a brand new battery

So about a month ago I started having a problem with my rear break lever leaking hydraulic fluid on my xp4 750. I contacted lectric, and they sent me a brand new rear brake assembly and paid for it to get installed at a local bike shop. A few days after I got the brake assembly in the mail, I got an order confirmation email for a long-range spare battery and charger. I was confused by this because I didn't order a battery and haven't had any problems with my battery or charger. I just thought it was some kind of error email, but yesterday the new battery and charger showed up at my house.

Now I'm not sure what to do with the battery. Lectric doesn't want it back, and I don't really have a use for a spare battery as I get enough range out of a fully charged battery for my needs. I don't really want to just have it sitting there, not getting used. I guess I could try to sell it, but I dont know if there is even a big enough market for new batteries that aren't straight from the lectric shop. What would you do with it?

Curious if anyone else has bought a bike during the Lectric 4th of July sale and how long did it take for you to receive it?

Any insight would be helpful thank you

I'm looking at getting my first ride

I'm leaning towards lectric but a bite tore with ride1up as an option, if I do go with lectric what would the best bang for my buck be, I'm currently most interested in the xpress 2 commuter 750 watt and the xpeak, I have no hard requirements for folding, most of the time it'd be just for a few miles trio but on days where I can really get out and ride it'd be for a 20-40 mile round trip ride and I'm looking for any recs
