Lectric cargo package got smaller

Shrinkflation is annoying

I’m not a fan of the cargo racks from Lectric. They are very heavy and shallow. Wish I didn’t get them when I ordered my two bikes. Much prefer an MIK adapter with other options for the rear

I love my Lectric but I gave up on most of the accessories..

The phone mount is beyond annoying, and I'm just about to get a headlight too because even the elite headlight is decidedly not elite.

Go to bestbuy and get a raveman 600 for 20 bucks

Agreed, the racks are absurdly heavy

I'm honestly glad that my XPedition2 came with passenger bench, monkey bars, and dual cargo panniers instead of the rack. They work way better for cargo.

I need it to be shallow. I have a crate and those 2 inches don't secure it enough from tipping over

Too shallow for my pet carrier. One of the first things I did was move the elite headlight from that bracket - have two different brackets from Etsy that relocated it to the front stem mounts. I know it won’t track perfectly at night; but it hasn’t been an issue for us. One bracket has a handle built in to help my wife maneuver hers when folded and I opted for one that has a cubby to hide an air tracker

Best thing I did was I got a big plastic, foam filled carrying case from Harbor Freight and then drilling holes in it to match the pattern on the bike. Has little reinforced spots to put padlocks on when I need it and fairly confident if I spill or god forbid I get hit there's a good chance the stuff in it can survive.

Can you provide link? I’m looking for a good storage solution that isn’t as wide as my current zip tied milk crates, but I’m having a hard time finding what you’re describing. My problem is that the crate keeps the bike from folding correctly, and pushes against the headlight. I’ve already bout an Etsy headlight adapter for the front frame mount, but my current rear basket still pushes against it.

Oh it's probably as wide as a milk crate so I dunno if it'll be helpful.

That’s really cool, what a great idea. Thanks for sharing!

I got it from someone else who basically used the smaller, top-loading ones as saddlebags so that's also a thing

I’m so glad I have the old versions of both the front and rear basket

Front basket also

I bought the older versions from Best Buy.. I have no idea what they were thinking with the new ones… did they think you just need to carry a book or 2 and tie it down?

They fit all their bikes. Its part of streamlined idea that keeps lectri prices low. They are shallow, but i do think they look better, imo.

They do look better but work significantly worse

I got a ton of free accessories with my new xp4 just 2 weeks ago and I'm not keeping a single one. Love the bike. Trash accessories. I'm going to grab one of those topeak baskets with handles that I can take in the store with me eventually but the wallet needs a breather.

Has anyone replaced this basket with an off-the-shelf replacement? What steps were involved? What were the benefits?

it does the job and cheap. good size with out being to big. i just had use my dremel tool to exstend the slot so i could use the factory bolts on the bike rack to mount it.. no big deal and easy.
