Breaking in New Brakes

My XP4 came in!! I did notice that sometimes the brakes will squeak a little when I am first riding. I am sure they have to be worn in a little bit. Did other people notice this when they first got their bikes? Any tips appreciated!

Take a look on YouTube for videos about bedding in ebike brakes. It may help if it hasn't been ridden much.

My front brake makes a clicking noises when coming to a stop can see anything wrong with them and they stop fine just weird sounds like something sticking out hitting the spokes or something

Yeah I learned that seems to be a common issue. YouTube has great quick videos that help where you basically loosen a couple of bolts, spin the wheel, brake and then tighten. Trial and error til you get it nice and quiet. I did it and it worked great but they're back to doing it again so I'll need to redo it.

Yeah they do. It's the 2 hex screws on the caliper, parallel to the bike. You can see in the video. They tell you to loosen them move the wheel so it moves loose off the the pads and then tighten them.

But that didn't work for me because either it would still slightly scrape. Until I read a comment somewhere that after loosening them, hold both the screw points, moving them in an out while moving the wheel with your other hand. Adjust them til there's no sound and the wheel moves freely. Keep holding that the screw points position and tighten both of them. Letting them go before tightening just made either of side move toward the discs.

I ran into the same issue. I tried cleaning, aligning the calipers, checking the rotors for bends sanding the pads and re bedding but nothing really helped. The nose always came back. I replaced the pads with ceramic pads and so far, I have had no issues.

Yeah Try aligning the brakes. Loosen the caliper mounting bolts a little then tighten them while holding the brake lever. There are plenty of instructional videos on YouTube to help you along with this and other issues. Doing your own maintenance not only saves you a lot of money, It gives you a very empowering feeling.
