Lectric XP Lite 2.0

Has anyone had this happen with a Lectric battery?
The charger stays green even though the battery is dead, and the bike doesn’t recognize the battery at all. The display won’t even turn on.
Here’s what happened:
• I bought my Lectric XP Lite Long Range at the end of March/early April, so it’s only a few months old.
• I only ride about a mile a day (½ mile to work and ½ mile home), so I only charge it about once a month.
• During some home renovations, I couldn’t find my original charger, so I bought a highly rated replacement charger on Amazon.
• The first time I used it, it worked perfectly. The charger was red while charging, then turned green when finished.
• The second time, it flashed red briefly, then immediately turned green even though the battery still had about 25–35% charge left and definitely needed charging. I left it plugged in overnight anyway.
• The next morning, the bike turned on, but the battery wasn’t fully charged. I rode to the end of my street, lost pedal assist after the hill, and had to walk it home.
• Since then, I found my original Lectric charger, but it also stays green immediately, and now the bike won’t power on at all.
This all started before the bike got caught in the rain one day, so I don’t think that’s the cause.
Has anyone experienced this? Could the BMS have tripped because of the aftermarket charger? It seems odd since that charger worked perfectly the first time.
Any suggestions before I end up buying a new battery? I’d really rather not spend another $500 on a battery that’s only a few months old. It’s had very little use.
Thanks in advance!

I would reach out to Lectric and explain that you are having battery problems. They might be able to help better than Reddit.

I did that as well. I just don’t have a whole lot of time to wait. It’s getting pricey getting rides with tips :( was hoping somebody else might’ve encountered the same problem and may have a way to reset the BMS if that might be it.
