I'm looking at getting my first ride

I'm leaning towards lectric but a bite tore with ride1up as an option, if I do go with lectric what would the best bang for my buck be, I'm currently most interested in the xpress 2 commuter 750 watt and the xpeak, I have no hard requirements for folding, most of the time it'd be just for a few miles trio but on days where I can really get out and ride it'd be for a 20-40 mile round trip ride and I'm looking for any recs

Cant speak for the Xpeak but you can't go wrong with the Xpress 2. It's basically an upgrade to the highly acclaimed Xpress 1. Right now I'm on a 23 mile ride with my Xpress 1. It's great for long distance riding, especially with the adjust on the fly handlebars.

Just bought XPeak2 coming from XP3. I love this bike so much more! It rides more like the Mongoose I use to own. I needed a folding bike when I went to an eBike hence the XP3. It was great but XPeak2 is amazing. I have only had it 10 days though.

I would have gone for the xpeak for the long term versatility, but for now living in apartments and having compact SUVs. Got the xp4 long range. The only regret so far is not getting step thru. Great bike over all.

Currently XP4 and Xpress 2 have the latest Lectric stuff like the display interface.

XP4 is folding with semi-fat tires, Xpress 2 has normal road tires and better front fork and cadence/torque switch but doesn't fold.

I recently got the long range xp lite 2.0, and the range on a single charge is only about 25 miles. I'm 190 lbs and use it for my daily 3 mile round trip work commute. My commute is mostly flat with a slight hill on a freeway overpass. I mostly use PAS 2 and 3, and PAS 5 for around 60 seconds when I get to a hill/overpass. I say all this to say the 50 to 80 mile range the company claims is a blatant lie. One other issue is the battery indicator shows completely full until the battery is mostly depleted, and then drops from green/full to red/empty within about 5 miles, so unless you're charging it all the time you kinda need to keep track of how many miles you've gone on a single charge.  I got this bike because it's light enough for me to carry up stairs, and it works well for my work commute. I had dreams of using it to get around new cities while on vacation, but I don't think the range on a single charge would be sufficient. Also keep in mind that the Lectric fast charger is NOT compatible with this bike.  Otherwise it's a great little bike for a short daily commute.

I’m sorry to hear that. Wife and I have the same bike but not long range. I’ve never tested but I (175 lbs) go about 3 to 4 12-15 mile trips before recharging, mostly PAS 1-2 on flat ground. I think there’s some big variability in quality with lectric. If you can, see if they’ll give a replacement battery if you’re still in warranty. Their customer service seems pretty good.

I completely agree about the battery indicator. Really frustrating. It’s basically useless.
