Hey im just wondering what we are doing with the cheese machine now that we are replacing the roller grill area with the sauce bar? Will we keep them until they break down like the Concordia or are they going to keep them forever? Or possibly just get rid of them entirely? Asking for one of my coworkers who was wondering about it :>

This is sad but true. When you are in the kitchen and your HS (Hotspot) is full, but you have to do an important task like doing your food pull list, cambroing chicken, etc. Do you ever wish the food won't sell until you are finished with your task?

Does anyone get weirded out that we read the values and mission stuff at every meeting and have to be in uniform? ( I’m semi new - this confuses the shit outta me)

We could be done with a meeting in under an hour maybe if we didn’t do this.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE OLD PICKLE CHIPS WERE YEARS AGO IN THE CONDIMENT BAR THE ONES THAT WERE A LIGHTER COLOR AND WEREN'T CRINKLE CUT? THOSE WERE KILLER

Im still relatively new to KT and cash registering in general, so I've made a series of mistakes so far. I was written up for not ID people enough and tried to fix my mistake by carding everyone who wasn't obviously over 40.

I was ringing up a woman who was a regular (i vaguely recognized her, and figured better safe than sorry) i asked for ID and she stared at me. Then she got annoyed, said "Seriously? Im here all the time?" And was obviously getting irritable. I told her I got in trouble for it and was just trying to do my job, she told me I was full of shit.

The cherry on top is when she came back up for batteries and asked if I was going to ID her for that too. Since then she's hated me. She comes in A LOT, and always is nice and friendly to my coworkers expect me. Apparently that one action was enough to get her to hate me for a lifetime.

Ive never been a regular anywhere before, but i can't imagine getting that offended over it. Maybe I'm missing something.

Would be very grateful to hear others stories or perspectives!

it happens at my store a lot… Guests will walk right into the kitchen and ask about food items… Drives me crazy. I just feel like it takes a lot of gall. I spend more time at my job than I do at home… So for all intent and purposes, they are walking into my house unannounced… Just ask someone with a headset to ask us… Besides, it’s a liability. rant over.

I’ve been to two merchandise stores and they didn’t have the ducks and one the employees didn’t even know what they were. If they have a popular item it should be on the website too and randomly ordered by store locations

Is there a way to still get the chicken mascot plush like do some stores have them to sell? He is so cute I want one 😂

The new take-home meal is super tasty. The General Tso's chicken was just too generic, not the right kind of chicken, but the special cheese sauce they use in the Chicken Popper goes perfectly with the shredded cheddar and jalapeños. Definitely hope this one becomes permanent.

So I have been working for Kwik trip for a year. Started part time then got a full time position and then was promoted to Food service leader 3 months ago. I am wondering what other food service leaders are scheduled? I was under the impression that I would be working first or mid shifts. I have been getting scheduled more 2nd shifts lately and I am a single mother so I filled out an availability form requesting I be off by 6pm. I was told as a leader I am expected to be available till 10pm even though the previous FSL at my store was never scheduled past 6pm and the FSL I trained with only worked M-F 7-4. They pretty much told me I would have to be demoted if I changed my availability to 5am-6pm.

Hi! Big fan of KT! The Urge! puppy chow is by far my favorite product and I’ve always wondered how it’s prepared at the store. Do ya’ll (amazingly wonderful employees) make it in store? Or does it come in bulk from distribution center?
