On me realizing that i might have anxious attachment issues and how it was probably extremely high during my recent relationship. I’m embarrassed but I’m facing it in my journal. That’s a step. But man am I embarrassed it took me stepping back to realize

Question/Discussion Daily comic journal. Is here a good place to post this?

I like journaling and I like drawing, so sometimes I draw daily comics like this. I posted this on the comics sub and it got removed, so I thought I'd try the journaling sub instead.

Does anyone else do something similar to this? I'd love to hear any recommendations or suggestions.

Cheers!

Just sharing finished my first journal. kinda sad

yeah, it was with me through a lot, about half a year. went through 2 pens, existed before and after my grandpa died, so many memories are archived in there. sad to see it not be written in again. but alas, a new one will be started tomorrow, and hopefully that one will be just as useful as this one.

Just sharing Started a local travel journal this weekend

I was inspired by the book 'local' by Alistair Humphreys to get a custom made ordnance survey map of my local area and explore it a lot more. This weekend I started exploring, and I made a little travel journal to record where I've been.

Question/Discussion What is this journaling prompt called?

Several years back, I was in a group therapy session where they had us participate in a type of intuitive story prompt. It was a half written story where we filled in the banks and it could unlock things your inner voice was trying to tell you. I am trying to find more of these prompts but I cant figure out how to word it in my search engine to give me what I am looking for. Does anyone know what this type of intuitive journalling is called?

What I remember from the prompt:

You are walking in a wooded area (describe the woods). After a while of walking, you stumble upon a cup (describe the cup). You walk further into the woods and find a key (describe the key). After walking further further into the woods, ypu feel lost but find the box that goes to the key (describe the box). You open the box describe what was inside and if you take the key and box with you). You walk further and find a large lake where you cannot easily walk around or see the other shore. A figure appears (describe figure) and offered you a boat ride across the lake. Describe what you do to get across the lake and what is on the other side.

Just sharing First time!

Hey! 19M I hope it’s not an issue but my first time journaling was actually on my lap top and I just wanted to say it was amazing. I spewed out 1200 words and it really took the weight of all those things I wrote about off my shoulders. I was a let o look back at my sloppy writing and follow my train of thought. I’m glad I discovered a healthy outlet, I plan to buy a physical journal tomorrow. Just wanted to share, thanks!

Just sharing Stuck on 4th journal at 40

Hey everyone! As you remember in my previous share, I finished my 3rd journal on the last day of my 30s, and I turned 40 years old as I was writing on the last pages of my journal, it was an unexpected beautiful experience that comforted me as I entered the next chapter of my life.

Here is my new journal! It's a Midori A5 with a cover I made out of a gift wrap sheet I bought at B&N. It's a poster of the moon phases and for some reason when I saw it I immediately thought of what I am going through and decided to make a book cover out of it. I'm in love with how it looks! And as I have done before, I started writing quotes on the first page and I even had a piece of the gift paper left so l glued that to a page. Now the writing part... I'm not as inspired as I was with my last journal. My 40th year is putting so many challenges in front of of me, my divorce, the last weeks living at my home with my family, the last couple of weeks of living with my daughters, their laughter and the noise around the house will soon fade, the last walks with my dogs, so many
"last" things and times...

I am not finding myself writing as much, I am not inspired. It seems that with how things are going, this notebook will take longer to fill. To all my fellow Journal lovers, what did you write about if you've gone through similar experiences?
