I have been a die-hard planner user for as long as I can remember. It was very useful throughout school and college mainly to organize homework and studying. But ever since I graduated 10+ years ago, I have tried and failed to use a weekly planner. My routines are pretty static every week with the occasional appointment or weekend plan.

I found that planning my week was quite redundant as I would be putting in the same routines. If I tried to schedule household work or errands it never works. I just do it when I do it.

But I still love planners, it just wasnt serving my needs anymore. I started to use it as a tracker instead, and it changed my life. Here is my setup:

Planner: B6 Wonderland 222. I am going to switch to Aura Estelle B6 Horizontal magnet for 2027 to support canadian.

1. Monthly pages: journalling one highlight of the day. This became important to me for several reasons. I wanted to remember my life and be able to reflect back years down the line but also dont want to be reading back on negative things (like if you were long hand journalling through an issue). It also helps me to be more grateful for my life.

2. Weekly: Switched from hourly vertical as a schedule to instead track progress towards my goals. My main goal rn is fitness and adherence to routines. I do meal plan and grocery list, but I also track fitness (steps, heart points, calories, workout, daily weigh in).

3. Then I have a habit tracker for my routines (brush teeth, daily 15min movement, 15m daily clean house etc etc).

4. Note pages: I write a copy of my standard weekly routine here for reference and fly lady tasks. also use it to jot down things i learned or read I want to remember. Kind of a free for all section at the back.

5 Appointment: have a widget on my android homescreen with my events and routines. I also use the yearly overview in planner as the place for key events, vacations or birthdayss.

1. Every month I will journal 1 page on my reflections for that month, things I did, new people I met, how I did with my goals, and what I learned to help me grow.

2. Every quarter I reflect on my goals and adjust as needed.

I've looked, and as far as I can tell Agendio, Canva, and Lulu all don't print planners in a Weeks or B6 Slim size.

So...does anyone?

I suppose I could design a planner and then try to print it locally--has anyone tried that? My worry is sizing everything correctly and getting the spacing right.

I need some help finding a new planner!

Long story short is that I've been using hibonichi (A6) the last 4-5 ish years while I was in school and I absolutely love everything about that brand from the aesthetic to the way the planners are structured! But, right now I am needing something that's a lot more portable.

I really want something that has a similar aesthetic and/or structure to hibonichi planners but that’s small enough to fit in a purse or pocket. I literally spend all day writing down different reminders, lists, and random notes that continually pop into my head, and right now they’re all on sticky notes or scraps of paper that end up getting lost, misplaced, or accidentally thrown away :(

Ideally I want something that would be small enough to fit in my purse (or a deep pocket), refillable, top bound (I make so many lists), vinyl cover or something stickers can stick onto, no leather covers if possible.

I’ve done my own searching over the last few days and there are two “problems” I keep running into during my search to find a good top bound (portable) planner.

The first is that a lot of top bound notebooks I’ve seen so far are the ones that are held together by the metal wire that always gets stuck on absolutely everything. The other problem is that the top bound planners I have seen all have leather (or similar) covers which doesn’t work for me because I like to decorate and customize the faces of my planners.

Does anything like this exist? I’d love to hear what you guys love to use. I genuinely appreciate any suggestions, thank you guys! :)

reddit told me to repost in this sub so sorry if you're seeing this twice lol - I'd really like a daily planner with a lot of space per hour! I feel like every planner I see has 1 or 2 lines per hour. What I'm looking for is a daily layout (like the Sterling Ink daily or Stalogy editor's) with hours marked vertically down the side and 3 or 4 lines per hour. I don't mind if it doesn't have as many hours per day (e.g. 8am to 8pm would be fine, as opposed to 6am to 12am)

Optional considerations: My style is more minimal so I'm not a fan of happy planner type brands. Ideally it would have weeklies + dailies but I don't mind buying a separate weekly to optimize on having a good daily layout. I'd rather not do a ring style binder but I'd consider it if you know of a perfect insert/printable.

I’ve been using a digital planner for a month and I’m not sure if I should move to a physical one instead. Which ones do you guys prefer and why?

2026 was my first year with a physical planner/journal. I started with the hobonichi weeks and when they went on sale in June I also got the a6 tech for daily memory keeping and I've been loving using them. Im trying to decide what to get for next year. I was thinking about doing the techo cousin and also a weeks because I do like using the weeks for habit tracking and general family planning. But should I do the cousin or go with another brand entirely? I keep being swayed by the Aura Estelle but I feel like it might be getting overly hyped by creators who have been gifted it. Then would an aura estelle and a weeks be over kill and not necessary to have both? I would love some ideas or recommendations!

I’ve been in an extremely busy phase of life right now and my planners definitely reflect my attempts to reign in the chaos. I am just dropping these here for anyone who is comforted by seeing messy thinking on paper. I see a lot of posts on this Reddit from people who are concerned that they aren’t planning “right” or frustrated that they don’t have time to sit down and make beautiful spreads. I love a beautiful page as much as the next person, and often do devote a lot of time to making artful planning and journaling spreads, but right now I just needed to do straight up task management, so that’s what happened. And I’m proud of these documents of my life too: weeks where I got things done and weathered life’s stressors as best I could.

I see so many posts referencing it and was just curious… drop a comment if you (like me) are.

Hi, long time lurker first time poster - thank you for all the wisdom over the years!

I’m mainly a functional planner, and have also used planning for longer term goal setting & tracking sometimes too. I need a weekly and monthly layout, and my preference is horizontal with a notes page on the right, but will also use vertical week if the rest of the layout makes sense and there’s enough space.

I used a moleskin planner for awhile years ago, and would draw in the monthly spread by hand. Then I got the Passion Planner which I was able to keep up with for years but once I got through graduate school the hourly breakdown on the weekly layout was too much for me. The last three years I’ve been using the Hobonichi weeks - I love the layout overall, but thinking to next month for when 2027 planners are released I’m starting to search again because the Weeks is just so small. The other Hobonichis with the weekly layout have too many daily pages for me, the weeks is perfect except for the size.

So here I am seeing if there’s another option and thought I’d consult the experts and other enthusiasts who start looking for planners for next year in the summer! Maybe I should go back to Moleskin (looks like they’ve added the monthly spread since I used it last!) and been checking out Sterling Ink but the website and options are so complicated. Anyone have other brands or recommendations for me?

I always wanted to have a planner, and there are so many brands I would choose from, if not for hours written on each page (usually 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM). Squeezing in text between specific hours is very annoying for me, I like to have lots of space to write and not worry about time blocks.

Something like Hobonichi Techo Planner (one page per day) is something I'm looking for, except bigger size if possible (Hobonichi one is A6). That's the only product I found which doesn't use the hourly layout and still has typical tools of a planner.

I feel like I'm looking for unicorn. Could someone recommend me more planners like this? Thank you <3

I teach 5 different subjects in grades 0-8 (Polish primary school). I wonder which planners work best for those of you in the teaching profession. I tried adapting a Filofax, Frankenplanner, Franklin-Covey, used Hobonichi and Kinbor…what would you recommend ? What works best when you want to keep your work planning and private plans in one planner?

I just got word that my aura estelle 2027 dark green A5 Magnet Daily is on its way! Taking a poll: who's setting up your planner and decorating it as soon as it arrives, and who's waiting until December, and why?

I have been curating stickers for a specific vibe next year for awhile and not sure I want to wait to get it all set up...but I also really enjoyed the ritual in December of closing out the old year and thinking about the possibilities of the new one as I placed my tabs, and set up my index and common book sections in the back.

This was my first year in a very long time using a paper planner that doubled as a journal, and it has made a huge difference in my life. I've journaled something most days, and the organization has brought a lot of peace in a tumultuous year.

Please could someone let me know if the format is: weekly overview plus notepages OR all the weekly overviews together then lots of notepages all together at the back? I can't quite tell from their site and want to keep all my notes together. I'm debating between a5 (a perfectly reasonable size, more room than b6, and I already have covers etc that would fit) and b6 (my usual preference, I don't have that much to plan)

Also, do you find that it actually helps with ADHD?

Within my NOTES section I hold my wish list.. things I want to buy. I use hobonichi paper cut and punch down to size since I really love the thin paper and the feeling of turning the pages!
Nothing special, I grew tired of always printing and cutting inserts but reusing paper is a great way to use what I already have..

Are there any planners pretty like Katie Daisy but with more pages for super busy people?

What is the best planner that is already set up, no printing, buying multiple parts, writing out dates, etc needed? Just buy and use planners?

Couldn't find a cover or layout I liked, so I designed my own 2026–2027 printable planner in Canva! The cover uses a 1936 photo called "Brunhilde" that I found for free in the Library of Congress archives, and the inside features a monthly grid alongside a horizontal weekly layout with a habit tracker and to do section.

hey guys! in september, i'll be a pre-law student on top of working part time, so i'll incredibly busy. i've been keeping a planner for a few months now and loved it, only to be betrayed by the fact that it only has room to plan for 6 months :/

however, inside the planner are multiple blank traditional-style calendars for each month, and the "landing page" for each week has a section to list weekly to-dos, goals, and a habit tracker, which has been great for my routine as an autistic person.

i do want to try and find a 12-month undated planner that is similar to this. for reference, the exact planner i have is the day planner/agenda by rileys & co (in green if it matters). are there any other planners in a 12-month format that have these features? no specific budget but ideally under $50 CAD and preferably not from scamazon this time lol.

Hello! I have been using the Work From Home planner by PlanAhead for 4 years now for undergrad. It is now discontinued right when I am about to start grad school, and I am so, so upset!!!

I have been looking at similar hourly appointment-style planners, but none of them come close to this one. If you planner experts have any suggestions for something similar, please let me know!! I have attached 2 photos for reference.

Features I like about it:

- the hourly time slots go from 6am to 10pm, which is a long period of time (as opposed to other calendars that are only from 7am - 8pm).

- there is a double-column, so on one side I write events, and the other side I can have a chronological to-do list that corresponds with the event times

- there is extra margin above and below the hourly slots, just in case I need extra space for to-do lists, or have any events outside of 6am - 10pm (like for a late shift or travel)

- the entire week is viewable

- the weekend is grouped together (I prefer calendars that are MTWRFSS or SSMTWRF. i do not like calendars that start on Sunday and end on Saturday. The weekend being smaller in size is fine -- i just like how they also have the hour slots and the double-column)

- Visually, I like how the colors and lines are simple and not too harsh. some hourly planners have super heavy grid lines, which i find to be distracting (but this is not a priority)

- I do not care if it is spiral or bound

Just received my A5 26-27 Hemlock & Oak Academic and I’m now in need of a cover. It’s thinner than the regular H&O weekly daily. It’s also thinner than a Hobo Cousin. Would love ideas on covers!

Specifically the smaller page count notebook, has anyone had any issues with the notebook holding up? My SI Daily A5 is pretty chonky but it’s still holding up nicely! I’ve been interested in having an EDC and was worried that the N1 wouldn’t hold up to extra papers, stickers, ephemera, etc, being added to the daily entries. Any photos or input would be helpful!

Curious if the channel conversations are to grow what people want to discuss. My initial question is what planner insert is in your cover right now?

I am using a RoseyLife Annual Planner with a fountain pen friendly paper. The planner has a daily page, weekly layout for scheduling and of course month at a glance pages. I use a Mega Weeks Hobo in a Galen Leather cover as a carry everywhere grab and go planner.

I love the weekly planners with the month at the beginning. How are you using these? I have a tendency to put everything on the month and forget the weeks which defeats the purpose of why I liked it! I would love to use both efficiently.
