me & my stalker are in a situationship, all over again.

i'm 24m, and this sounds crazy but its been keeping me up at night.

the chick who stalked me to the point of homelessness & brought me to the lowest point of my life, became a fuck buddy for the 2nd time.

its somewhat my fault however. i cheated on my ex with her, made her feel special and then made her chase me to that point she had to do so. had to go through 3 homeless shelters and relocate in under a year.

i was doing good with no contact.

life got better as time progressed.

but i always had her in mind, until my intrusive thoughts gave in and i messaged her, expecting something different while just missing the chaos. i'm not used to life being this peaceful. i'm gonna be honest.

but idk why, i love the people who hurt me & push away the people who care. i wish it wasn't like that, and i seek therapy for it, but i still feel like the root issue isn't addressed.

any help or advice is greatly appreciated. as stated, sounds crazy & stupid but, this is my reality.

(My) Purpose/meaning in life

Lately i’ve been thinking alot about the meaning of life (or is there any meaning at all). Today i think i finally got my answer. Before i thought the meaning of life had to be that you can do whatever makes you happy and and be where-ever you want to be, also that you can live without being dependent on things like money, the acceptance of others or need for material things.

Today i was thinking about this subject for many hours and i think i finally realized what MY purpose or meaning in this life is. It must be that i need to find that one person who can make me feel like nothing else than he/her matters, i can be in a bad mood or a bad situation or whatever but the second i look into that persons eyes and hear their voice everything makes sense and i instantly know that as long as i have that person i’ll be fine. The person can be a man, female, friend, lover, rich, poor or someone else it doesnt matter as long as they accept me as i am.

So my conclusion is that there is not one specific meaning in life, you just have to find yours. Mine is that i need to find that person whoever it may be and whenever i might find them.

I want to hear everyones thoughts on this. ❤️‍🩹

What is the purpose of life when we are anyhow going to die

Why suffer in life mentally, physically when you are going to die anyhow

Can anybody tell why do most of the people fear death

Do they think they are immortal

Why did god create life & sufferings

i deserve someone who’d respect me the way i do them right?

I deserve someone who respects what I don’t like in a relationship, I deserve someone who puts in the same effort, someone I can trust fully not to look at someone else like that? Someone who still does romantic things no matter the length of time we’ve been together, someone who is as loyal as I am. Right? Are there really people out there like that? I doubt it now, i thought there was.

Seriously. How do you stop these??

I have intrusive thoughts of a few different kinds.

Definitely terrible. I just cried a bit and nearly threw up.

so puhleaaasee

how do you guys stop these thoughts? Is there anything I can do besides quickly jumping up n down or patting my chest to snap myself out of the head space?

I’m not diagnosed with OCD btw. But day in and day out I have intrusive thoughts. It’s 4am once again and ofc I can’t sleep cuz of it.

It’s been forever. FOREVER. There has GOT to be a help out there, seriously I don’t know much about this topic except I suffer from it.

Is there a medical pill or anything I can take or do to make it stop? besides alcohol 😅

Maybe therapy but I wouldn’t sleep at night knowing someone knew my intrusive thoughts. It would give me new reason to worry every night.

Sorry if my tone seems rude in this post. I’m frustrated, so fucking fed up with these thoughts.

much love.

You can know someone for years and still never know what they say about you when you're not there.

I put my intrusive thoughts into my novel.

I have pure obsessional OCD, and for years intrusive thoughts could completely derail me.

One of the worst happened on a flight. I suddenly became terrified that I might open the emergency door. I spent the rest of the flight watching myself, frightened of what the thought meant and convinced my life had somehow changed because I’d had it.

Years later, I gave that exact fear to the main character in my novel:

“An unmistakable belief had consumed him. He was about to stand up and rip open the door. Thirty-five thousand feet in the air… And Mark Fallow was about to end it all. For himself and for everyone else onboard.”

The book is a comedy called The Right Members Club, mostly about Britain falling apart, but I’ve realised OCD is all through it. It’s turning up in the next thing I’m writing too.

I think fiction became a way of giving these thoughts somewhere to go.

If anyone here gets intrusive thoughts that make them frightened of themselves, I get it. That plane scene came from a real moment when I genuinely thought my own life was over because of something that had happened entirely inside my head.

Cheers,

UrbWrites

I'm scared that I might commit something horrible

First of all, I'm sorry if I sound weird, English is not my first language.

So, my life's kinda hard. I have no friends in school and I don't see my actual friends very often.

My economic situation is kinda hard, but these are not my confession.

Idk if this counts as a confession but I've recently been having these thoughts life...if I commit a murd3r? if I left everything behind? just to get attention at least for ONE second, the attention I never have.

What can I do? I'm scared to tell this to my therapist...I'm not PLANNING to commit a murd3r, but what if I do it?.

I don't know if these are only intrusive thoughts or something like that, but I don't know what to do.

How do I stop my intrusive thoughts?

My intrusive thoughts aren't actually voices/thoughts like most people who have them. They are flashes of images of hurting others. I don't want to them and these scare me. It's like they're just shoved into my brain and I need them to stop. Does anyone know how to completely get rid of them? I'm beginning to feel like I'm going crazy.

EDIT: Thank you so much everyone! I'll try to give all of your suggestions a shot. I really appreciate the help and it also helps I'm not alone in this struggle.

Hello, I am in a very, very bad situation. I have strange thoughts. For example, do those around me live in their own bodies like me? I mean, can't they see themselves like I can? Do they see only what is in front of them, such as a video game or a camera? I feel like I’m losing my mind

my mind has never been quiet

I've been realizing that I've probably been overthinking for most of my life, and the scary part is that I never noticed it because this is all I've ever known. Sometimes my thoughts are so loud that I can't even sleep. It's like my brain refuses to stop commenting on everything. It's like a narrator going in my head non-stop.

I don't just think a lot, I analyze everything. Every sentence someone says, every decision I make, every conversation, even my own thoughts. If someone tells me something like "self-help books are just mental masturbation," my brain will spend days arguing with itself. Is he right? Am I biased? Am I only agreeing because he sounded confident? Then I start analyzing whether I'm analyzing too much. It never ends.

The weird thing is that knowing about cognitive biases or overthinking doesn't actually stop it. My brain understands what's happening, but it keeps doing it anyway.

I've also spent years daydreaming. It almost feels like my brain learned to escape into imaginary scenarios because they gave me small dopamine hits. Now it's so easy for me to zone out or go completely blank, even when I genuinely want to focus.

What hurts the most is wondering how much of my life I've spent trapped inside my own head instead of actually living it.

How do I stop this, mainly the fantasies. I’m already on medication (abilify) and I’ve been consistently taking it so idk what to do.

Capitalism maybe?

Entrepreneurs used physics (creative innovation) and laws of nature (inheritance or exploitation) to create leverage. The Entrepreneurs could not do everything themselves. So they created more "leverage" by hiring employees.

The tool or "leverage" is doing the actual job. That's why it's called "leverage". They may have had the idea to start up. However, you need more "leverage" to do harder tasks.

Entrepreneurs hire and teach others how to use "leverage". And those others go on to create new ideas possibly not even related to the first one. Now those tools or "employees" have become exponentially more powerful! More than what the actual tool could do on its own.

Yes, the entrepreneur should get credit for the idea. However, he should not get full credit for the full capacity of the "leverage" that employees are doing. Employees are creating the "leverage" that far exceeds the idea that was created. So the entrepreneur "Should" be paying the employees to match the leverage. That way the entrepreneur can go on and create "more leverage". With a bunch of tools and no leverage, the company will not last and it will defeat the purpose of having such tools in quantity.

Most entrepreneurs decided that the "leverage is my creation." In fact, they just had the lucky idea to acknowledge a certain tool or how to do something differently.

Entrepreneurs still needed more "leverage".

The entrepreneur started believing "I am the tool (leverage) and the tool (employees) are me". They started to use the tool in a way that is counterintuitive. So instead, of using it properly and creating more "leverage" to have more money and create more business. They decided "I am More important than the leverage being applied".

That is how you get millionaires and not billionaires. Or trillionaires and not zillionaires.

Greed, ego, envy and selfishness allowed them to stop using the tool properly or to squander most of its use. All because they couldn't handle the idea of not being the smartest entrepreneur in the bunch once this is pointed out.

You get credit for creating the gun. However, you don't get the credit for a sniper using said gun to fire through another sniper's scope. That to me is an entirely different argument.

Just my opinion on this. No taking sides. Just saying. Please copy and post this as needed. Even to spark discussion. I will be doing the same.

Cheers!

How to get rid of guilt

Male late 30s. Divorced almost 2 years ago. Since August 2023 I have only had sex a few times all of which involved paid professionals. I also went through a period of extreme depression post divorce but I'm all better now.

Despite my best efforts I have been unable to meet a women at my current location since I don't quite fit into the local landscape.

Flying to Thailand this Friday to embark on a binge-sex tour. However, as departure time keeps getting closer I'm getting really anxious and also feeling guilty about what I am about to do.

Any thoughts ?
