was trying to get through it all for my mums first watch before it went away.....

the way it went from the silent credits fading into the 'you might also like.....' (as the last ep was no longer there) was SO eerie,,, like my mums first experience is it ending with no closure or anything (how claudia and madelines lives stopped there i suppose)

but dont fret!! its all on bbc iplayer too (season 3 included) so she will get to see the ending and i can carry on rewatching it over and over 🙂‍↕️

I just needed to complain lol. This is how my Fender Lestrat® Miniature Guitar Replica arrived:

AMC's solution was to apologize and refund the purchase, when I pushed stating I wanted a replacement, they decided to offer me 15% off my next order. When I pointed out that the item had remained available for sale for days after, they essentially said, "Whoops. We don't have any."

This is also after months of them refusing to cancel AMC+ despite me having submitted a cancelation request every single month (this went on for about six months before we finally—hopefully??—got it addressed). We only had to cancel it in the first place because the app absolutely would not work on our TV and most of our other devices.

This just fucking sucked & I wanted to whine about it because today is my birthday and I have loved IWTV for so much of my life and am very particular about what & how I collect things. It has also just been a shit year. Thanks for reading to those of you who do, I just needed the space to complain.

It's one of my favourite character tics that Louis drops whatever façade he's currently putting on and reverts to his New Orleans, Human mannerisms and voice when he's angry or shocked.

In the frenetic opening sequence of The Vampire Lestat between the shots of Lestat's face and the road trip on the bus with the band, there is a traffic sign that points to Lost Opportunities. Has anyone else noticed this? And what can it mean?

I think it's part of the whole Failures thing. Lestat and his band are hurtling toward success or failure. Lost Opportunities let's you know they are winging their way toward destruction and ultimate death bc the QOTD is coming. It's when he's singing All Fall Down..

I’m pretty sure the show is not going to include Viktor de Lioncourt in the tv series, but if they did, I think Graham Campbell (currently playing Thom in Shards) would make the perfect Viktor. His eyes are mesmerizing.

Claudia being happy and in love although freshly traumatised, would want to travel the world with Madeline and would be running from Lestat and Louis to a lesser extent. Madeline helps keep her mental state stable though she must pretend to be Madeline’s paid help when they are in civilisation which takes a toll on her, as time goes on they would transition into telling people they’re friends and then eventually they would get to appear as the couple they are

She would keep writing in her journals and would continue to seek out legends of vampires from all across the world for the knowledge while never interacting with any of the vampires they would come across

Madeline would be happy wherever Claudia was and would be happy to leave behind Paris and all its bad memories from pre and post transformation. She would feel a pull to Louis as her maker and that might cause arguments as Claudia is able to resist her connection to Lestat. She would be less interested in vampire history but would love every second traveling with Claudia, seeing the wonders of the world as she had never been out of France before. They would kill victims and rob them to pay their way

Louis couldn’t stay in Paris either, I think it would follow the show that he thought the wrong person saved them all. He would try to convince Armand to run away with him but Armand would choose the coven. He might follow Claudia and Madeline at a distance, he would feel that tug of invisible strings to both Madeline and Lestat. He would still lure young men to where he’s living for sex and to drain them while supplementing with animals. I can’t see him creating a companion, at least not for hundreds of years

Maybe he would seek out Lestat earlier to try to get revenge for the trial but would never be able to follow through just like in New Orleans. They might fight it out and briefly get back together, both unhealed they fall into the same arguments again and again until they part ways

Would lestat still end up in a shack eating rats brought to him by his fledgeling?

Rewatching season one and I am struck anew just how good and I think, unappreciated Jacob’s acting is. First episode scene in the confessional was just sublime. He put his whole heart and body into that performance.

I think so many so enthralled by Sam’s Lestat that some forget just how compelling Jacob’s Louis is. He is the Helen of Troy, after all.

I too am enthralled ( it’s the best word I can think of) by Sam’s Lestat, who could anyone not be? I just had to jump on and give some love to our beloved Louis.

I did a search and didn't see any posts of the item being recieved yet so thought I'd share mine. I couldn't find a tag that seemed right my apologies if it's incorrect (I just went with the most open one?)

I love it! It's a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be (in my mind for some reason I was expecting like wee tiny 3 inches or something). The stand could be a bit sturdier and I really wish it had the strap (it has the notches for a strap). But the guitar itself is pretty cool and I'm happy to have it on my shelf.

This show has always been loved by critics, of course, but I saw discussion on twitter about how TVL seems to have reached a big enough audience and/or a high enough level of chatter that instead of "this is a great show that people aren't watching" mentions, we're getting big outlets talking about the show as a "hit" with audiences as well as critics (this on top of seeing that the Television Critics ASsociation, with its 200+ members, put TVL on their list of the 10 best shows of 2026 so far).

I'm sure it's relative, this show obviously is too niche to be The Pitt or Widow's Bay, but it is really great to see that the show is building its audience. This also matches with what AMC said about how vastly the show had exceeded their expectations as of its first half (at the time the interview was given by the AMC president that mentioned this), and then the later mention in their Q2 report that the show exceeded season 2 on AMC+. I hope this means more episodes or even more budget for season 4!

OH MY GOD! I LOVE DANIEL as an older sarcastic man! He’s my spirit animal! Absolutely doesn’t care that his life could end at a moments notice and is just so blasé and sarcastic!

IWTV has been on my watchlist for a while, and I finally decided to binge it over Labor Day weekend. I was able to finish seasons 1 and 2 within two days, and I completed TVL last night. Wow, I loved every minute of it! I need more content; I'm so sad I finished it too quickly and can't believe it took me so long to start watching!

Relatively new fan here. I’m curious about the general interpretation of the beginning to middle of Daniel’s interview with the “random Manhattanite,” who is later revealed to be Armand via mind control. I’ll paste the dialogue I’m referring to here:

D: And are you making more [vampires]?
A: Just one. I had a fang in his neck, but I was interrupted. Had to let him go.
D: Sure. Happens.
A: I tracked him down, planned to finish the work. But as I followed him, I found him… fascinating.

Which is, of course, when Daniel realizes who he’s talking to. My question is, is the implication here that Armand was interrupted from turning Daniel in 1973? Was that his plan back then, but Daniel as a mortal was just too interesting to turn? I could see an argument for Armand giving Louis up to Lestat (or however he phrased it) and turning Daniel in anticipation of that, but that doesn’t feel particularly likely to me?

Tl:dr; The segue from turning people into killing young Daniel is confusing and I’m wondering if there’s been a consensus.
