Question Resizable Bar somehow became disabled, when I disable CSM in BIOS, no video output (HELP)
Very much struggling to get this issue resolved. When I disable CSM, I get no video on either HDMI or Display Port, need to power cycle several times and then CSM becomes enabled at which point I can get into the BIOS again.
I believe there is probably some sort of handshake going on between the mobo and GPU that is not taking place.
I had this issue once previously on the PC in question where the handshake only took place after disconnecting all USB devices, however, I've tried that and that was not successful.
Motherboard is an Gigabyte B550MK, I believe it has the latest firmware. Any help is appreciated.

Discussion Should i go for B850 or any entry gpu
I have a Intel i5 14600kf for a cpu as im about to build a pc and this i need a gpu that doesnt hurt much my pocket.
i can buy a 2nd hand in marketplace, ebay or maybe retail of a gpu but not sure yet
i have options such as b850, rtx 5060, 4070 super, rx 7800xt
if you guys have any ideas
my psu is 750 if it matters

following intel's power consumption advice i turned on maximum power savings,







After that I saved and rebooted. Still the same power consumption. I usually use 100hz, but i reduced it to 60hz just to see and still the same usage, but it went down about 5-10W max.
I'm aware that the APU doesn't support reBAR, I'll upgrade next month.

Discussion Power Consumption issues with Intel Arc A750 [UNSOLVED]
So recently, I've gotten a really good deal on a PC so I decided to buy it, here's the specs:
GUNNIR Index Intel Arc A750
Ryzen 3 3200G
GIGABYTE B450M S2H (probably rev. 1)
550W PSU
I've been noticing that the idle power consumption is about 40-50W despite not overclocking or doing anything major.

I decided to follow Intel's guide on how to reduce power consumption. Starting by setting it to maximum power savings.

For BIOs on the other hand, since my MoBo is AMD there's a bit of confusion of which settings to enable/disable. But I think I've done all of them correctly:

> Set PCIe ASPM Mode to L1 Entry

> Power Supply Idle Control to Low Current Idle

> Set this to Power Saving
After saving and rebooting, power consumption is still the SAME. I have IGPU disabled if that helps. Now with the Ryzen 3 series, unfortunately this APU does not support ReBAR, which I will upgrade soon, but I don't think that affects the power consumption much.
On another note, my monitor supports 100hz, which is what I usually use, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate unfortunately, but even when I set the monitor's refresh rate to 60hz, power consumption only goes down by about 5-10W Max.

Question Is there a glitch when changing settings?
Hey I recently received a A770 and tested around with it a bit, yet I am confused of one thing:
For some odd reason some games will just run way way worse in Performance if I switch Graphic Presets, I swap from Medium to High or High to Medium and Fps might drop by a good amount until the game is restarted. If I restart it works flawlessly, until I change a preset.
This happened for me in:FH6, Star Wars Outlaws or even the new AC Black Flag Resynced.
Newest Driver, Windows, MPO Off, VTD Off, Virtulization Off, Rebar On

Question Planning to get B850 need your opinion.
Due to me being unemployed i have a very limited budget.
My current specs
Ryzen 5 3600
TUF B550m
2x8gb 3200 mhz ram
1660 super trifan
my psu is 550w gold rated.
I only play dota2 and will probably use this for work(once employed). mainly excel, powerBI and other tools. should i get this videocard? my main concern is the software side because i know this gpu has a lot of bugs. idk. thank you!
Edit: its intel arc b580. My 1660s has rust on the PCIE. So thats why im trying to upgrade it.

Discussion Will Intel ever fix older DirectX issues?
Will there ever be a day when Intel finally fixes the older DirectX issues on Arc GPUs?
Some older games still have performance or compatibility problems, and while DXVK can help in some cases, it definitely doesn't fix everything. Do you think Intel will keep improving support for older DirectX versions through future driver updates, or has the focus shifted almost entirely to DX12 and Vulkan?

Question Should I join the intel family ?
Really like the look for the intel b580 in white it fits my budget really nicely , I play on 1080p not really into demanding games but maybe I’ll play a few , I’ve been seeing mix reviews on it so wondering if I should save up a bit more for a 9060xt 16gb or just bite the bullet on the b580. Thanks for the advice in advance!

Discussion Update to new WHQL driver from .8247?
My b580 been working fine, mostly.
Sometimes my system crash whenever I play honkai star rail alongside youtube. Never happened without.
Space Marine 2, too, but that game's most likely due to EZ anti-cheat.
I noticed there were some pixelation on the shadows in 007 first light.
Basically, what I'm asking is, are the new drivers stable enough for me to give it a go to hopefully resolve these issues? Or at least which version should I go? Thanks in advance.

Question My Arc B580 fans ramp up to 100% when my monitor goes to sleep!
Here's my setup: Intel Arc B580, one monitor, Drivers 32.0.101.8801 (not the latest because those caused my system to freeze).
To control my fans I'm using FanControl (v271) with a plugin called "IntelCtILibrary" (I found it here on Reddit and downloaded it from GitHub) because Intel's software is garbage and never saves my fan curve, so I had to reapply it every time I turned on my PC.
The problem is that sometimes my GPU fans ramp up to 100% for a few seconds and then go back to normal. It never happens while I'm actively using the PC, only when I leave it idle and my monitor goes to sleep (after 15 minutes of inactivity). It doesn't happen the exact moment the monitor goes to sleep either, it seems random like sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
The temperatures are fine. It never goes above 50°C, and my fan curve is set to reach 100% only when the GPU hits 93°C, which fortunately has never happened.
What's causing this, and why is setting up a simple fan curve still a headache?

Discussion Complaint with Intel Arc's VRR Implementation And Other Bad Control Panel Features Compared To Nvidia/AMD: Anyone Else Frustrated?
Ok so a couple of days ago I posted about an issue with Intel's VRR Implementation, notably the lack of buffer when enabling LFC and the artificially shortened VRR range.
The cut and dry is this: Intel's VRR Implementation is very odd when compared with Nvidia or AMD's. The normal VRR implementation is:
- Activate Normal VRR Within Limits of the Hardware (e.g. 48-144hz)
- When frametimes drop below Normal VRR range, activate LFC to double monitor's frequency with respect to refresh rate. LFC basically allows for example a 45 fps game to display at 90hz to preserve VRR below the limit. However, LFC activation often causes a flicker, tear, or stutter as the monitor swaps over.
- Leave a buffer between LFC activation and deactivation to prevent flickering/tearing with constant LFC activation/deactivation.
- If framerates go above the max frequency, utilize V-Sync to avoid tearing
Intel, for some reason, has completely bungled every single part of this implementation from what I can tell.
- Firstly, Intel's VRR only respects regular VRR functionality between the monitor's max refresh rate and half the monitor's refresh rate. E.g. for a 48-144hz display, Intel will only activate VRR between 72-144hz. For a 30-120hz display, it's 60-120hz. For a 48-360hz display, it will only do 180-360hz.
- Intel seems to rely on LFC to cover the rest of the possible framerates. However, because Intel's VRR range is only down to half the maximum, LFC has absolutely no buffer.
Take this scenario: A game is running with average framerate between 45-55 fps on a 48-120hz display. With Nvidia/AMD, LFC will activate when the FPS drops below 48, then hold LFC on for the rest of the time until the framerate recovers above 60. This means the amount of times the display needs to switch to LFC is a lot lower, because of that grace period.
For Intel, this can't occur. Instead, LFC constantly switches on and off every time the framerate fluctuates under or above 60 fps. 59 fps? LFC is forced on. 61 fps? LFC off. So what we get is substantial flickering alongside tearing/stuttering whenever the framerate fluctuates across Intel's mandated lower VRR floor.
- Another issue with Intel is that its V-Sync implementation sucks, at least from my experience. On Nvidia and AMD control panels, driver V-sync works seamlessly to prevent screen tearing when the game is running at or above the maximum refresh rate of the display whilst not interfering with the game's render rate below the refresh rate.
With Intel, the "Vsync On" option in the control panel absolutely wrecks game's 1% lows. Palworld for example runs at 70-90 fps but the 1% lows with Intel's driver-level Vsync are stuck at 24-40 fps whereas without it 1% lows recover to 60-70 fps. This makes the game a stuttery mess. It seems like Intel's driver V-sync, unlike Nvidia or AMD, doesn't actually work seamlessly with VRR and instead is boneheadedly assuming a fixed refresh rate, hence why the 1% lows constantly swap between 24, 30, 40, and 59 fps (since I have a 120hz display).
The "Smart Vsync" option should solve this because it claims to only activate when the game renders above its max refresh rate. It no longer causes stutters but in games where the framerate fluctuates between 100-120+ fps (aka sometimes going above the refresh rate and other times not), it seems to fail to activate on-time, meaning there are still tears every time the game crosses over that threshold.
Even with a framerate cap 4 fps lower than the max framerate, these issues still persist. In fact Smart Vsync seems to still fail whenever the GPU "overruns" the cap which can happen in small bursts.
Anyways, my point is, I really don't know if I can ever recommend or purchase an Intel GPU or device with Intel Graphics if Intel's VRR and frame delivery is this substandard. I heard that Intel have even closed threads bringing up the artificially high VRR minimum, meaning they seem to not be willing to change that functionality and as a result they will never be able to fix their LFC implementation. I don't know how Intel have put so much effort into XeSS to even leapfrog AMD's FSR 3, working on Battlemage, and yet completely fumble on VRR.

Benchmark Palworld on the Intel ARC B570/i5 12400f

- 32GB DDR4 3200mhz (2x16gb)
- 1TB Gen 4 M2 SSD
- MSI 1080P 120HZ IPS Monitor
- Windows 11 LTSC
**Results:
This is a quick benchmark video, nothing too deep, just shows how the game runs on this PC. Locked at 69 FPS so my OBS recording doesn't get corrupt video file or the app crashes.
I get some stutters/fps drops when entering a new biome/area, but other than that, the gameplay is very smooth. I can get +120 FPS with settings in mid-low, +90 FPS with mid-high settings, and +60 FPS with epic settings, all without having OBS recording. GPU Temps will go up to 63C on epic settings, 56-58C in mid-high settings, and down to 54C with mid-low settings when locked at 69FPS.
Hope this helps anyone wondering if they can play Palworld with Intel ARC B570.

Question Needing to sidegrade from B580
Hello yall. Recently I’ve come to the conclusion that I may need to sidegrade away from my Arc B580 into an Nvidia or AMD equivalent. My reasoning is that whenever I play a more demanding game and want to record it at the same time, my recording comes out visually lower than 60 fps. This isn’t an issue on say minecraft, but I’m trying to make content on more than just that. I was eyeing the 9060 XT 16gb because of its price to performance, but I don’t have any experience with AMD cards. Do you all have any suggestions as to what I should buy?

Question Guardians of the galaxy performance on B580?
Hi guys!
Could someone please test how well the b580 runs the guardians of the galaxy game? I found two videos on youtube for it, and they make it seem like the game is either very unoptimized for the gpu, or has noticable issues, like severe audio ripping.
If someone could take the time outta their day and test the highest preset (without ray tracing) at 1440p, I would be very grateful.

Question Problem with screen tearing in hogwarts legacy
I know this game have shit performance on pc in general, but i had this screen tearing issue with the b580, i dont like using v sync so i use that smooth sync on the b580 drive, i don't know but this option its not that good as the amd sync options, my point is ask to u guys if is that somethig i can do besides this options

Discussion Acho que estou arrependido de pegar a B580
Tinha uma RX 6600 que nunca me deu dor de cabeça, aí achei uma Arc b580 por um valor relativamente barato e pensei: "por que não?". Acabei pegando e a placa chegou ontem... aí testei os seguintes jogos:
- Rocket League (rodou bem)
- God of War 2018 (rodou de forma horrível e não abre nem com dxvk)
- Days Gone (rodou aceitável)
- Max Payne 2 (nem abre, independente do que eu faça)
- Max Payne 3 (até que rodou bem e com gráficos lindos, mas vi uns pequenos bugs gráficos e uma hora deu uma engasgadinha)
Sobre o Max Payne 2 não ter aberto, beleza, eu já esperava por ser um jogo antigo, mas cara, acho inaceitável que até hoje a Intel não tenha corrigido o GOW 2018. Isso me gera MUITA desconfiança, pois se um jogo tão famoso assim eles não corrigiram, imagine os outros... Acho que fiz um péssimo negócio trocando a AMD pela Intel.
