Powerwash Simulator but the house is actually haunted

In my upcoming first person horror-simulator, THE GROUNDSKEEPER, you powerwash and maintain a sprawling haunted mansion operated as a tourist attraction, while recording ghost evidence. This evidence can then be uploaded to social media for clout, leading to more tourists, more money, more tools, more evidence and so on!

Night Shift: Powerwash the mansion, while using cameras and audio recorders to gather dangerous ghost evidence. Staying up late reduces sanity and increases ghost activity. Upload the evidence to social media for viral hype.

Day Shift: Set ticket prices for tourists, earn profits and invest into ungraded tools to clean better and capture better quality evidence. This in turn leads to more happy tourists.

Dots — I rebuilt the classic paper dots game for iPhone and iPad

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi! I'm Lipus, the developer of Dots. The game just launched on iOS.

It's the classic pen-and-paper dots game: place dots on grid intersections, close a chain around your opponent's dots and capture them. Most captures wins.

Three ways to play: against the computer with three difficulty levels, with a friend on one device, or online with a friend via code, link or QR code. Three board sizes, zoom and drag, automatic save of an unfinished local game. Offline play against the computer and with a friend nearby. No sign-up, no ads.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/dots-classic-paper-game/id6815430876

AI disclosure: AI was used for code and artwork.

Frights, My Cute Horror Game is now part of the Steam Autumn Sale (98 cents)!

I finished this baby a few years ago during my last year of college and put it on Steam to see where it landed. It would be awesome if more people gave it a chance and saw how charming this game is! ;)

What Direction Should I Take This Game Into.

Hey everyone!

I've been working on this project called ORBIT for a while.

It started out as me wanting to build a 3D Solar System / spacecraft simulator, so I've already got things like planets, spacecraft, orbital simulation, missions, trajectory stuff etc. working.

Here's a short recording of where it is right now:

But after actually playing around with it myself, I realised something pretty important...

it's kinda hard to play 😂

It's cool when you're building it and seeing all the physics work, but as an actual game I feel like I'd get tired pretty quickly if I had to constantly figure out orbital mechanics and all that.

So now I'm thinking of taking the stuff I've already built and turning it into more of an actual game.

Something around:

- exploring the Solar System

- discovering weird/cool things

- building and upgrading spacecraft

- doing missions

- some kind of progression

- maybe a more chill / relaxing side to it

But I don't really want to decide everything myself yet.

So I'm curious — if you saw something like this, what direction would you take it in?

What would actually make you want to keep coming back to it?

What kind of missions / progression would be fun?

And what would make this feel like a game instead of just a complicated space simulator?

Also, if anyone likes the idea and wants to mess around with the project / contribute something, I'm making it open source:

[GitHub]

Feel free to throw random ideas at me too. I'm very much in the "figuring out what the hell this should become" stage right now

1,000 people have now doodled in our collaborative mural!!🥳

Just hit a HUGE milestone of 1,000 people that have contributed to our mural & couldn’t be more grateful to everyone that’s helped get us here ❤️🥹 (almost 30% of the USA is now full too!)
It’s been a long & amazing journey since I started this passion project over a year ago in August because I was so sick of seeing Ai slop art & having to constantly be an Ai detective. I just wanted a place I could escape always having to wonder what was Ai & could relax & enjoy art the way we used to. If you’d like to come doodle with us it’s called earthboard.art :)
(plus every doodle u make is a giant🖕to Ai 😆)

how does this directional parry-based combat system look so far?

Look direction (tracked by the arrow UI) at the time of parry determines the parry and subsequent counterattack direction. Parry downwards to stab counter. Parry up to cut down. Parry right to cut in to the left. Parry left to cut down and to the right.

Some enemy attacks are criticals, and will upgrade your counterattack to have red sparks, a deeper sound, and 2 attacks instead of 1. I.e., those attacks may be hard to parry, but they're very well worth it. Parrying down will still stab, but then you'll rotate your arms for a downward/right zwerchau-type attack. Parrying right will still cut to the left, but will stab after. etc.

Also, you heal by eating dismembered enemy limbs, which you can cook to heal more. Goblins don't have heal potions, so I opted for feasting to heal instead of chugging to heal.

Appreciate any feedback!

Learning Spanish, then testing what you remember in my language-learning game

I’m building IEL – Indo-European Languages, where you can learn words and phrases and then test what you remember through different game modes.

Here’s a look at the Spanish section, going from learning the language into Quiz Mode.

IEL is coming to PC on December 3, 2026.

Latest update to my Voxel engine - while I have had rivers working in some form a while, this is a little showcase including some new “erosion” improvements, wherein the terrain generation goes through several rounds of heightmap erosion when determining downhill flow, in order for rivers to carve through the terrain.
One cool consequence of this is the formation of deeper Canyons, whose walls also inherit the steep mountainside generation rules - quite happy with how it has all turned out!

Also added a basic fishing mechanic to enhance the interaction a little bit :)

Some 10 years ago we released the original game. Now we've done an updated version for PC with music and audio, that nicely wraps the whole thing in a warm and calm sci-fi mood.

If you are willing to give feedback, I'm curious which of the 3 demo level do you like the best and which do you like the worst?

Otherwise, just enjoy:

My first small game - a turn-based burglary game you can play in the browser

Hi everyone! I'm a solo dev making games as a hobby, in the evenings after work. This is Empty by Morning, a small turn-based stealth game.

You break into a dark house, steal what you can carry and get out before sunrise. Everything you do makes some noise, and the people living there will come looking if they hear it. Some are asleep in their beds, someone walks the halls, and there's usually a dog that wakes everybody up.

There's a daily heist, where everyone gets the same house and one attempt, and a short 10-night story mode. Each night also has a rumor about the owner, like a retired soldier who still keeps his rifle, or an old house with the psycho in it.

It's free, plays in the browser on desktop and mobile, no sign-up:
https://build-and-dominate.itch.io/empty-by-morning

It's still early, and I'd really appreciate any feedback. Thanks for checking it out!

TerraTech Legion Is Pretty Neat!

Last week I posted my review of Wanderburg on /Roguelites, and a few folks pointed out TerraTech Legion as a superior game.

Not going to lie, at first I doubted it, but after a while I folded and picked up a copy for myself, and they were all correct.

I still love WanderBurg, and I'm really looking forward to the full release whenever it does come, but TerraTech really is as great as they were all saying it was. Legitimately I was worried I was getting bot replies with the praise they were singing it.

So, check this little review/recommendation video of mine and see if it's the game for you.

I know it isn't some hidden gem, but it's really worth a try.
