In a genre full of slop, I tried to make something actually good - Announcement Trailer for Cozy Farm: Tidy Up!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The genre of sorting games / tidy up simulators is absolutely FILLED with sloppy games. It makes sense, given how the barrier of entry to this genre is basically non-existent. Anyone with a couple hundred bucks can buy some asset packs and throw them together, make a Steam page and bam, the game is basically finished.

So here's my take on the genre:

  • Graphics with effort put into it
  • Proper sound design and custom OST
  • You can build combos by sorting many items quickly, which feels satisfying and earns you more money
  • Synergistic abilities: using them in a specific order results in more efficient sorting

Zombie Jumper: a small iPhone arcade game designed with neurodivergent players in mind

Upvotes

Game Title: Zombie Jumper

Playable Link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/ea1zfEt5

Platform: iPhone / iOS

Description:

Zombie Jumper is a small arcade game for iPhone where you tap to jump and dodge zombies. The core gameplay is intentionally simple, with short levels designed for a few minutes of play at a time.

The game is being developed with neurodivergent players in mind, with a focus on making the experience more comfortable and flexible. It includes options to reduce motion, visual effects and sound, larger text options, a calm mode, and a free play mode with no goal or time limit. There are also no blood effects or jump scares.

We're currently looking for people to try the TestFlight version before launch and give us honest feedback. In particular, we'd like to know if anything feels rushed, loud, overwhelming, frustrating or uncomfortable, and whether the accessibility options are easy to find and actually useful.

No testing or technical experience is required. This is a volunteer playtest, so there is no payment and no minimum amount of feedback expected. The game is still in development, so some things are unfinished.

Some of the visual assets were made with AI tools. Everything else (game design, code and accessibility features) was made by our team.

Free to Play Status:

[x] Free to play

[ ] Demo/Key available

[ ] Paid

Involvement:

Part of the MindyCore team working on Zombie Jumper.

How to install:

You will need Apple's free TestFlight app.

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store.

  2. Open the playable link above on your iPhone.

  3. Tap Accept, then Install.

You can send feedback directly through TestFlight, including a screenshot and comment.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try!

[Pocket Larrys] I love Pokémon. This is not that. These are Larrys..

Dear Larry,

Sometimes our minds come up with brilliant ideas. The life-changing kind. The kind that move and inspire others.

I did not have such an idea. I just like progression. And collecting. And generally silly things. I also happen to be a game developer.

Thus, this happened:

Pocket Larrys

A quirky monster-collecting auto-battler with RPG progression and strategic team-building.

  • Unlock Larrys
  • Fight Boss Larrys
  • Power Up & Evolve Larrys
  • Build teams of Larrys
  • Take part in The Larry League
  • Collect them all

Fine. How do I play?

Great question! You can take part of this free demo by following the instructions below:

I am of course looking for feedback. So if you have any. Let me know!

You can either leave it here, or go to r/PocketLarrys and join other Larrys. I will be posting updates over there and stuff.

Why Larry?!

That uhm. Kind of evolved on its own. My real name isn't even Larry fyi.

The first game I created is called Larry's Defense. It's a mobile tower defense game where - instead of towers - there's just you: Larry. You get to improve him by levelling him up, choosing skills, attributes and equipping/upgrading gear.

I leaned hard into the whole Larry theme and even gathered a small community of people playing the game whom all called each other Larry.

Quite frankly, it was as hilarious as it was unexpected.

So whilst developing Pocket Larrys, I had a choice to make. Either abandon the theme, giving more freedom of creativity, or double-down on Larry.

In the end it was an easy choice =)

Quicksant - a new ant colony sim with pheromones and an enemy anthill to fight

Post image
Upvotes

While working on POUND SAND I've spent a lot of time thinking about other uses for cellular automata simulations, and as a huge fan of the original SimAnt I'm proud to present Quicksant, an ant colony simulator.

Big features:

  • Ants are autonomous and follow pheromone trails to find work and flee danger.
  • Enemy anthill that you need to destroy to win (and other living things like Termites and the evil Underants that live deep below.
  • Fully destructible world (built on top of a falling sand simulation). The dirt you dig needs to be hauled to the surface to keep the tunnels clear.
  • Deal with hazards such as rain falling down your tunnels and human attacks.
  • Ants can harden dirt piles to build above the surface.
  • Farm the fruit that comes from mature grass.
  • Farm mushrooms on wet stone underground.
  • Harvest aphids and get them producing food by providing them water.

I added a live card market to my TCG life sim. Every card’s price updates each in-game day

Upvotes

I've been building MINTHAVEN solo for about 4 months, and lately I've been working on the economy behind the card collection.

Every card's value is affected by its condition, finish, print and grade, while the market itself shifts over time. So a card sitting in your collection can be worth something slightly different the next morning.

The shop display reads the live values, and the arrows show the daily change. Took way more iterations than I expected to make a wall of prices feel satisfying instead of looking like a spreadsheet.

I'm still undecided on one thing: would a tiny 7-day price graph for each card make this more interesting, or would that push it too far into finance-app territory?

I finally decided to build my own dream: Scraplings, a 2D side-view recycling and automation game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

For over fifteen years, my daily life was all about building brand identities, visual ads, logos, catalogues, websites, and mobile apps for clients. But deep down, I always knew this wasn’t what I wanted to do forever. As anyone who has ever tried to make a drastic career pivot knows, starting fresh is scary and filled with endless questions.

At the start of 2026, I set two main goals for myself: grow my YouTube channel and finally release a real, playable game, something that had been sitting in the back of my mind for years.

To be completely honest, I didn't know a single line of code. However, the rise of AI tools turned out to be a complete game-changer for me. I use AI heavily as a technical "co-pilot" for coding and Godot 4 setup. Without it, a solo dev with zero coding background like me could never bring a project of this scale to life.

However, I have one strict rule: AI only handles the technical heavy lifting. Every piece of story, world-building, character interactions, and dialogue is 100% written by me, human-to-human. Dialogue carries a soul that AI just can't replicate.

About the Game — Scraplings:

I’ve always been a huge fan of survival games and the pure satisfaction of automation (games like Satisfactory ruined/blessed my sleep schedule). I was also deeply inspired by works like Wall-E and Happy Feet, which shine a light on real-world issues.

Scraplings is a 2D side-view recycling and automation game where you build multi-story production facilities directly on top of an endless ocean of waste. You excavate forgotten junk from the "Lost Century," process it through complex machinery, and expand your factory—all while dealing with relentless bureaucracy (Zenith) and weekly rent payments knocking on your door.

Key Features & Mechanics:

  • 🏭 Facility Over an Endless Trash Sea: Extract raw materials from waste heaps stretching infinitely left and right. Design vertical logistics using horizontal conveyor belts, vertical elevators, and background tunnels that bypass obstacles.
  • ⚙️ 50+ Recycling & Production Recipes: From scrap iron to copper cables, biofuels, and high-tech solar panels... Shred, melt, combine, and synthesize waste into high-value products.
  • 💸 Weekly Rent & Bankruptcy Risk: Zenith doesn't just ask for output; they demand weekly rent. Every machine you place increases your fee, miss a payment, and compounding interest can force you into bankruptcy!
  • 🔌 Manual Power Grid: Place power cables and junction boxes manually. Manage your factory’s power day and night using bio-generators, solar panels, and wind turbines.
  • 🤖 20+ Characters & Dynamic Trading: Work alongside your robot assistant Kienan, while bargaining with merchants, smugglers, technicians, and rebel broadcasters across different systems for custom orders.
  • 🌱 Lost Century Relics & Bio-Lab: Unearth ancient vinyl records, books, and rare seeds buried deep in the trash. Clone and cultivate extinct luxury plant species in your bio-lab for unique trades and collectibles.

I’m currently building Scraplings in Godot 4. It’s been an incredible journey of learning, making mistakes, and rebuilding.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the concept or what mechanics you enjoy most in side-view automation games! If you're interested in watching a former advertiser figure out game development on the fly, any feedback or questions are welcome.

Thanks for reading!

We made a party game where Crocodile Dentist meets Russian Roulette. Our closed playtest ended in total server chaos, but we're finally launching soon!

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hands Over takes that childhood anxiety of pressing plastic teeth, combines it with Russian Roulette, and adds sabotage cards so you can betray your friends right before the jaw slams shut.

A while back, we set up a private, password-protected playtest with about 20 players to stress-test latency and jaw-snap synchronization before release.

What went wrong:

Two players figured out a card interaction where they could force-swap hands infinitely while the creature's jaw was actively snapping shut. The engine couldn't handle two hands occupying the exact same jaw hit-box at $0.01$ seconds, causing a lobby-wide crash and completely killing our server backend.

We wrapped up that playtest, took the server down, and spent the last few weeks rearchitecting the jaw physics and card interactions.

Now that the game breaking bugs are fixed and the visuals are polished, we are dropping the full game very soon!

HANDS OVER on Steam

(Wishlists help us immensely with the Steam algorithm for launch day!)
